Nubra Valley in the northern side of Ladakh is an incredibly beautiful valley in the remote mountain desert bordered by the mighty Karakoram ranges. Our destination was The Apple Nubra Cottages in Hunder. We covered the distance of 120 kms from Leh to Hunder in less than 4 hours. This adventurous and one of the most challenging drives in India across Khardungla pass tops every travel enthusiasts' wish list. As we descended the high mountain pass, we were greeted by the most incredible views of magnificently colourful mountainscapes and gorgeous valleys cut off by the Shyok river. The experience left us spellbound. We reached our lovely campsite in Hunder in the afternoon and were surprised by this green oasis in the middle of the desert! So watch the vlog as we take you around Hunder and share our experience of the Sand dunes, Bacterian Camels and the desert camp. Tourists must rest and acclamatize for at least 3 days in Leh before heading out to Nubra or Pangong. We do that and have never faced any health issues in Ladakh.
