That one gentleman who had the three sons, him and his family had a gorgeous dynamic, and his boys are gorgeous
renee vinolo #agreed
renee vinolo I do photography. You have an IG? Follow @Bkdontru. I follow back. ✌🏾❤️
This is sick, so inspirational!!
In LOVE with the attitude of the first girl, its perfect; no one can gatekeep photography or art and I wish more people lived without fear of not knowing enough or not being good enough due to technical education. The world of photography would be so much more diverse and exciting, I can’t imagine how many interesting perspectives have been kept hidden due to this fear.
make more of these!!!!!!
i have to agree
agreed! these videos especially this one really just makes me shed the shell i wear thats not me. frees me a bit.
cody hughes WTF, Some mumbo jumbo voodoo diversity liberal shit. This is not about photography, it’s just a brain washing , promote the black man film.
"Things do really just exist on screens now and you've got, like, a three second attention span. And you notice that you go somewhere and see a beautiful print on a wall and you'll stand there for minutes. That is the power of the physical object." RIGHT ON!
I love so much that the first girl has no training, knows nearly nothing about the technical side of photography! I've always wanted to get into photography but I've always been put off by the amount of technical stuff. I have a really nice expensive camera that I got as a combined Christmas/birthday present one year from all of my family. I haven't really used it because I felt like I was never good enough/don't know enough. Maybe I will pick it up again now.
Try doing some research and then just doin it maybe :) you cant expect to get into it and immediately be super skilled, its something you have to practice and work on. So my advice would be to just do it, take your camera with you everywhere you go and whenever you see something youd like to photograph, photograph it ! :)
The best way of learning is taking pictures and practicing. I'm on a photography course and I've learned more by myself practicing that what I learned in school. You'll learn the technical stuff along the way as you need it, and we have the luck of having many amazing youtube channels that can solve any doubts we have. So pick it up and go shoot!
She didn't say she doesn't know anything about her camera (especially as a film photographer). Get to it!
Same here. I just want to be a photographer but I have no actual training :))) it's fascinating what ambition and passion can make. I still don't know a lot of things but I am working on this and I try as much as I can to improve myself. no one really told me how to use the Manual mode, for example. Yes, I've been told, but at that point I didn't have a dslr so it didn't help me too much. and when I got it, that person was no longer there to explain me things. I realised that the best way to learn is to do it by yourself. I went out and tried the M mode. shutter, aperture, ISO, WB and all those things and now, after one month, here I am, changing them without even looking at the settings. it's just about how much you wanna do this.
You shouldn't give up on something just because you don't feel like learning rules and technique... you are lucky to have an expensive camera. Learn to use it :(
Seeing Kelela made me genuinely shook and happy at the same time
I Yelped:``|
Woah D.O-shi...
right?
I wish I had the courage to do street style photog. I just love catching people in the moment but it's scary when you consider how they could react.
Lilith Nox thank you so much for the advice. I will do this!
Yeah exactly be nice about it but if they still act up/give them shoot then just let them know what you're doing is legal but them going for you or trying to take your camera is not and thus you'll just call the police on them if they do.
InsaneDreamer Productions Omg you're scaring me with this lol...but thank you. I appreciate this info.
I've literally had pimps threaten to stab me over photos before lol
search youtube for Bruce Gilden (one of the greatest street style photographers) and watch his process, the truth of the matter is staged street photos take away some life from the shot and remeber you probably never see these people again in your life, so there's no aftermath to stop you from going for it, build you confidence and just do it.
'Let me capture your natural awkwardness.'
Lol
next gen *portrait* photographers. but this is still cool, glad to know about this now
I love this!! I've been following Ronan for a while now and I just love her style so much. I respect that she actually take pictures on film, it's so epic...!
This is absolutely inspirational.she is cool because she's real and every one can relate to the struggles she addresses about evolving in a field when you are new
loved the sarcasm in this :)
Yeah, I'm tired of all these photographers that aren't even real.
"I kept having to buy new cameras on eBay every week, because they were just breaking, because I was taking too many pictures." I don't know what she was doing with her cameras, but it seems highly unlikely that they were "just breaking from taking too many pictures."
Unlike the photographers Vice normally features, these guys actually have some interesting work. I would like to see more of this.
I've seen how a lot of people roughly handle their cameras and from her attitude, I could tell that she is one of them.
Most cameras are only rated for X thousand shutter actuations, she was buying second hand on ebay too. Chances are her shutter mechanisms were just reaching the end of their lifespan
exactly
Dat Casey Neistat handling lol
@@doomsday.tomato yep, i've had quite some shutters jam on my 35mm film camera collection
This got me on a creative high. thanks for sharing!
Where's the first girl exhibiting? I want to go! 😍

So much respect for those who still use film 😍❤️
I humbled watching these amazing creators! Inspiring!
this is so encouraging! I really wanted to study photography in college but I was kind of forced to go towards buss. ad. I haven't touched my camera in months & that really depresses me. looking how these people are creating amazing work really makes me happy ❣️

I think those photographers inspired me in a way that beside their love for taking pics, they also add values & purposes which somehow make the photos bring a lot more emotion than just pictures in frames. Theyre really next gen

Loved it! Absolutely brilliant!! :-) Thank you :-)
Great stuff! Very talented people!
loving this channel🔥
This is the photography that tickles my pickle. Meaning. Storytelling. Technical consideration that contributes to those things rather than taking the spotlight.
An awesome take on photography. Bravo!
I really love this!
Loved it !
Man I love these film videos. Reason why I started
totally love this video , great♥
This is really nice. It gives us aspiring photographers the outlet to view other artists and their thought process.
I really love this video. It is very inspiring and makes me rethink everything I know about photography. Photography- "Drawing with light" - is more than just gear and techniques, it's also about the story and mood and emotion. Thank you for the great videos and your effort in making it.
Love this!!!!
Yess, this was beautifully put together, as always with i-D and big up the next gen :))
Brilliant approaches to photography - and fantastic work too! :)
well done! True inspiration across the globe! =)
Absolutely stunning! And what Olivia Rose says about a printed picture that you want to stand in front of it for minutes. Its true! Very inspiring. Thank you!
RontschDaPontsch:::: Black and white makes you stand in font of it for an hour. Color is boring, B&W is Truth.
Sorry that's how i see it tones and contrast are interesting.
A year later and the impact of this video is still heavy! No matter what you do see the beauty in it and bring that to the forefront of your world.
I love there style of Next Gen Photographers :D
why are you styled like what you didn´t grow up with

So inspiring images !!
*I JUST WENT TO ANOTHER UNIVERSE, I LOVE THIS!!!*
Amazing photographers!
what is this... an ad for mamiya??
True. well they are some of the best medium format SLR's so why not lol. I love mine.
@@seafire820 I mean they're good, not the best, but still good and affordable which is why everyone and their mum buy them.
@@ryanc1295 which ones do you feel are better than the mamiya's? really curious as i'm looking to get a couple new medium format cameras.
@@whitebuffalo4904 The Pentax 67 is considered better, but really isn't. I find that the Hasselblad H1, Contax 645, Mamiya 645af are all better quality images.
@@ryanc1295 I would disagree with that to a point, while they're not Hasselblads, Mamiya makes some really good glass that gives wonderful tack sharp images for a far more affordable price. I love my RB67 and the shots I've taken with it.
Wow!! This was dope!!! Bravo!!
Very nice mini doc... Good on ya!!!!👌🏻🎞🎥
I loved every second
