- The customization of this CTS-V has been 3 years in the making. I set out to build a V1 inside and out in a way that it comes across as if GM had another go at it back then.
I wanted everything to look factory, but wanted a bit more features and performance than how it originally came out. I believe I achieved my goal at long last.
Proud to share the status of this project here with all fellow V and Cadillac enthusiasts.
I hope you all enjoy part 1! Stay tuned for part 2 soon, next video we'll talk about performance & exterior-aesthetics mods.
Looking forwarding to hearing your thoughts and feedback! - Auta a dopravní prostředky
Sam, great video , a cut above the usual CZcams video. You have made so many improvements to the appearance and performance of the car. You have given me a lot of ideas on how I could improve mine. Thanks Paul from Vancouver.
Thank you Paul, glad you enjoy the content I appreciate your feedback!
Great job! You have put an amazing amount of care into this vehicle.
Thank you! If you haven't watched part 2 it's up on the channel as well, in it I show the performance upgrades and exterior modifications done to the car.
nice work good luck sam
Good info bro 👌
Glad you found it useful.
Where did you source the outer rim of the steering wheel? It looks great.
Yes it definitely is a unique piece. This steering wheel is my design and I do sell this specific one on request. If you would like to order one you can contact me at CTSM.Garage@gmail.com
How were you able to put that bluetooth system in your car when that system is made for Nissan only?
The BT45-VETTE is actually for GM cars only.
It supports multiple years of cars / trucks from Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC.
very nice 🤩🤩🤩
Thank you!
What’s that button by the shift boot and the cup holders?
The previous owner had an LED bar behind the grille. This was the switch to turn it on. I removed the bar when I purchased the car but I kept the button for a future exhaust cutout install.
@@CTS-Vohhh I have that same hole on my CTSV but no button I was wondering why there was a hole there so idk what the previous owner did on mine🤷♂️thanks!
Do you have a video of the seat cover replacement? I’m trying to do it now on my 05 and need a little help.
No unfortunately I do not have a video. But I did take quiet a few pictures. Is there a part you have difficulty with?
The most important steps are to disconnect the harness connectors at the bottom front (please make sure battery -ve is disconnected for 5 mins due to seat airbag deployment risk).
Then you remove two big Torx bolts which hold the rail to the floor in the back, one is on the door side sideways the other is on the rear right side under a beauty cover which clips to the floor.
Once those bolts are removed you can tilt the seat forward to unhook it from the ground slots in tge front. Then you get to snake the seat out of the car from the back. I recommend you remove your rear seat cushion to gain space. Rear seat cushions just pull up and taken out of the car.
The next steps outside of the car are too numerous, but I can assist you eith the details.
I got the seat out just fine. How does the side air bag cover come off the side of the seat? I figured out the bottom cover. The back rest of the seat I’m having trouble figuring out how the skin can come off. Love your videos keep up the content!
@@michaelpetrone1350 Ah I see. You are stuck on that because there are two bolts behind the back left side of the leather back cover. You need to remove the plastic seat back cover.
You remove the panel back cover by pulling at the bottom evenly. Use a flat wide prying tool if you are stuck on it.
Once the plastic panel is removed you will see that the leather cover on the left side is hooked on a metal rail of the seat chassis. Unclip the left side clips from the rail. You now can peel back the leather to reveal the two fastners holding the airbag to the seat.
Once you pull it out a bit you will access the connectors. Disconnect the plug and remove.
I recently rescued my old ‘07 back from my brother. He’s owned it twice and now I have too. He let him 20 year old son drive it and he TRASHED IT. Then it was parked in a field at a mechanic shop with a window stuck down for a year. It’s in terrible shape. It is caked in dirt on the inside. I’m going to have to disassemble the interior to try to clean it. Not sure the fro t seats can be saved. Can you tell me where you found the seat covers? When I owned the car, it was spotless. Looked brand new. I need to get it back to that. It will be a very long road.
That's sad to hear, but I love that you are determined to restore it. I will help if I can. Tell me what color is the interior and which seat needs full replacement? Also which state do you happen to be in?
I’m in mass and also interested in og seat covers too please
I have one set left. It's an OEM replacement leather for the driver seat, the backrest and the cushion. They are for a base car not for a V (meaning no suede inserts no white stitching). Is that what you are looking for?
@@CTS-V I would prefer the V seats since it’s a V….thanks very much though
No problem. I think I got the last new V driver seat cover in the country for a V1. You will most likely have to source a used one. The only thing I have for the V1 is the used one off of my V that you see in the video.
hi which brand have this cool steering? greatings
Glad you liked it, this specific steering wheel is my own custom design.
But I do sell them to other enthusiasts upon request.
hi Sam thanks for answer. You remove the leather and change the metal below? what do you think the steering wheel fits from STS 2007? is smaller and beautiful. i removed the fog lamps and install LED day running lamps 😏 nice day Werni
watch my Belair Videos.....great.
I'm not aware of any size difference between the 07 CTS & 07 STS steering wheels. Yes the wheel I offer is completely rebuilt with new material and stitch work as you can see in the video.
Where can I get the steering wheel?
I sell this V1 steering wheel. Made to order.
Hey where can I get that rear ash tray? Part numbers!? Location?
Just saw your question.
The part number depends on the color and you will need two parts the console and the ashtray itself.
Which color are you looking for?
@@CTS-V my interior is black
For black interior you will need these two parts:
Rear Housing: 25759201
Ashtray: 25750155
@@CTS-V thank you so much!! Can't wait
