That ghost with the drill was called The Addiction Demon by the producers, basically he was drawn to the Hotel because of how fucked up the place is.
“This demon that you and your kind conjured with your diseased acts needs to feed” that’s how marsh explained the addiction demon. In ep 8.

Basically in AHS demons can manifest out of feelings or ideas.
The Addiction Demon was the concentration of all the highs, junkies, and overdoses at the Hotel Cortez.

This was the last of the "classical" American Horror Story seasons. From next season onwards, this show takes a lot of daring risks with its storytelling. It becomes more experimental and tries something very different every year. I hope you enjoy the next ones. They have some highs and lows, but they are all very decent seasons in my opinion. Can't wait to see your reaction to Roanoke!
I’m so excited for you to watch the next season, it’s definitely the most traditional “horror” vibes, and I think it’s legit spooky in some spots.
I didn't want to mention this until you had finished out the season, because technically it would've been a spoiler to tell you something was never gonna happen, right? In episode 3 when Angela Bassett first appeared, you mentioned how badass it would've been if she was a vampire hunter & you were so right! Even if it was played by another actor, that character would've been a really great addition to the story.
Liz Taylor, Sally and James Patrick March were my faves this season, all are S tier for me, especially Evan working that Boston Brahmin accent 🔥

I’m really hoping you like next season or at least enjoy parts of it. Without any spoilers, some basic trivia about season 6: it was the first season that they didn’t announce the theme or title of it until til it aired live on tv. So EVERYONE was surprised. They released about 40 teaser trailers leading up to it, each teaser had a different vibe and theme and each ended with “AHS ?6” and we had to guess what the theme could be out of those vastly different teasers. I thought it was fun😂 and the winner even won a car which show creator Ryan Murphy announced who on tv right before the first episode of S6 premiered😂 which I think is why a lot of people don’t like it, we didn’t know the theme and it’s VERY different than any season prior. I personally think it’s the best and appreciate the bold swings they took with it💯😂😅 also the acting in S6 is phenomenal imo, with a few particular standouts. I won’t say who cuz I’d hate for it to be ruined for you.

Well that was a fun ride, kinda ironic the evil characters had a good-decent ending while John who was the "good guy" and his family had a bitter sweet one 🥲, really enjoyed it, and after watching the season again through adult eyes i can say this is one of my favorites too. Anyway see you in roanoke ✌️

Hotel is such a great, unique and grungy season that I will forever love. It’s not perfect, but it’s definitely better than the newer seasons we’ve gotten. Bring on season 6! Haven’t seen it since it aired in 2016, so it’ll be exciting seeing your reaction.

Also after the season finished airing Chloe Sevigny pretty much 💩on the show. She said the show has a weird tone, that she didn't think she was the right kind of actress to be on the show (what ever that means??), that her character wasn't well written, she didn't have enough to do & that even though she only had about 5 lines in Asylum, she prefers that character.
I pretty much agree with her. A wasted season in my opinion, except for Denis O'Hare's extraordinary Liz Taylor, Evan's March, and Sarah's Sally. Otherwise such a great cast essentially wasted.
As an actor, I have to disagree with you about Evan Peters. That is such a hard time frame of his character to play. His voice, his look, his body language. He was amazing. I’ve watched AHS many times and after my third watching of Hotel, I finally had to ask someone , who played March? I was totally blown away that it was him. He should have been nominated for that performance.
Also a hard character to play was Mrs. Evers. Her accent was killer! When she’s on the phone with Liz’s son, the way she spoke, she embodied the way of radio before there was tv and sound in films hasn’t been in existence for very long. The way she said, “Yes, that’s right, in Los Angeles!” That did some study of history to get that affectation down. They are both an S to me.

You need to watch the other seasons, including season 11 which is AHS:NYC and I think its a great season.
I also even kinda like season 10, it aint good but I understand the concept of it, however season 12 AHS:Delicate is complete trash 😂
He said he’s most likely stopping at 1984. Red Tide was good, expect for that last episode, but it’s not even worth reacting to it. I think 1984 is a great season to end.

i feel like this season had a LOT of decent characters, and not enough amazing ones like your tier list shows which is why hotel is one of my least favorite seasons. still decent, but definitely not a favorite. looking forward to roanoake!
