Taylor said Lana is her favorite lyricist so she is definitely inspired
makes so much sense
@@caitlinmariereacts she said Lana was her favorite artist of the decade in her billboard women of the decade speech
*Wildest Dreams !*
not only that but she’s borrowed her aesthetic a few times
As a fan of both, this makes me so happy.
"I think I just watched an indie film- but I was a part of it somehow?"
welcome to Lana del Rey.
If you think this is really cinematic just wait for honeymoon
Honeymoon is so underrated :(
Honeymoon is unmatchable,
One of my favorites 😭❤️
her best album! it's a perfect blend of modern and vintage/jazz :)
Evander Solís yes!! It’s my favourite album of all times!!

@@chaeriplease Why? 🤔
yes, taylor swift is a lana fan! she said it in a speech recently that she admires lana a lot.
Queens supporting queens, you love to see it
taylor said lana was the most influential artist of the 2010's
And issa fact.
and she WAS. ultraviolence led the revolution for 2010s sad bitch music
@@avamorgan7860 amen
dark paradise is about a boyfriend that died.
this is what makes us girls is about lana's troubled teenage years. she drank too much and got into so much trouble with her friends, that her parents sent her away to boarding school, hence the line "they were the only friends i ever had, we got into trouble and when stuff got bad, i got sent away, i was waving on the train platform, crying 'cause i know i'm never coming back."
Wait. About a boyfriend of hers?!
Catarina Ferreira yep! she expresses her sadness over her boyfriend’s death, saying that she hopes she’ll meet him on the other side and how she wishes she was dead with him as well.
I relate to that song soooo hard, because my bf passed away as well 4 years ago, and it’s still so painful to even think about.
@@dxamondheart I didn't know about that! Now the song hits completely different. Ty ♡
It's from a perspective of someone who has their loved one died. It's not her boyfriend.
the bridge on blue jeans is EVERYTHING. i said what i said
I love your reaction to her (Lana) music
Daniel Jaramillo omg thank u! (so surprised someone checked out my channel 😍😭)
Yes, Taylor Swift is a Lana Del Rey fan. She said it in her billboard woman of the decade award acceptance speech, that Lana is her favorite artist of this decade and the most influential or something like this. She’s a Lana fan and I’m so here for it!!💜
how did I miss this omg
i kinda wondered how lana will interpret “the lakes” bc i get lana vibes from this song and i love it sm

I love seeing people discover Lana for the first time. She is more than just a singer, a lot of people see her music as depressing but for me, it’s very therapeutic. Her music soothes my soul, she is a goddess.
Evan I was looking for this comment💖
She is god 😔
Mora E period
Fr like I have extreme period pains and I often listen to her music while in pain bc it’s so relaxing that the pain literally GETS BETTER. Her music is literally magic man

The thing with Lana is: every time you say “i like this song but it wasnt my favourite”... believe me, it will become your favourite eventually
so true!!!
TOTALLY AGREE
Agree!
the best songs are those that grow to you
trueee
i think we all know how she’ll feel about ultraviolence😌

Old money babe
Crysthoper Mikahil Dark Paradise is so iconic
“I’ve watched as one of my favorite artists of the decade, Lana Del Rey, […] was ruthlessly criticized early in her career, and then slowly but surely, she turned into, in my opinion, the most influential artist in pop. Her vocal stylings, her lyrics, her aesthetics: they’ve been echoed and repurposed everywhere in music.” -taylor swift ❤️
Im so glad you're doing Lana, just wait till you get to NFR you'll definitely love it. It's my favourite album ever and The greatest is my favourite song ever
Pfp and username on point.
Venice Bitch is my favorite she's ever made and The greatest and Cinnamon Girl are both up there as well, one of my favorite albums as well and my favorite of hers.
The Greatest is also my favourite track from her its just so perfect
ME TOO
I think I just found my soulmate! NFR is my fav album and the greatest is my fav song ever! It used to be so hard to name a song that’s my favourite by Lana, and the greatest changed that
“I am nostalgic of an era I never knew.”
- Lana Del Rey.
omg i think youre gonna love her album "norman f*cking rockwell" which came out last year because its produced by jack antonoff and he also produced reputation, 1989, lover and some songs on folklore💗
Lana doesn’t sugar coat her lyrics, I can see how it can be a lot to take in to someone not familiar with her work 😅
Off To The Races is supposed to be creepy because it’s about Lolita (“light of my life, fire of my loins”) so yeah, it is creepy! Also it’s my favorite from Born to Die with Dark Paradise as second place ;)
the taste girl
YESSSS been saying this!!!
I was raised on Lana and it makes me so happy to see people fall in love with her lol
I mean calling her talented is an understatement at this point . I’ve never heard ANYTHING like her . So of course anyone would like her ;)
Same
People that are with Lana have no idea they are following Charles Manson and people who are interested in Charles Manson or Lana Del Rey are creepy. People that are like that fear the sword and are afraid of death.
I’m spitting out the truth
Mark Chayer what? Are you talking about yourself
I always find it funny when people say that lana's music is dramatic, like have u met her stans, we are so damn dramatic
THIS
For real
This album was a stylistic gamechanger. There would be no Billie Eilish without this.
Kind of weird you never heard Born to Die and Blue Jeans. They were played on replay on Italian radio like you wouldn't believe. Maybe not in the US?
Nah they were popular in the US as well.
I hope you really like her discography, every album has a different vibe
can’t wait until you hear ultraviolence - her best album
Nah i think Norman fucking Rockwell is her best ...even tho I hate to compare . It was the first one I listen to and I haven’t had it out of my head Since . It’s so fucking beautiful. The lyrics are ...unbelievable and the fucking vocals ...lord she sounds like she was in pain ☹️
is NFR
wow y’all probably listened to ultraviolence like 1 time
@@michaponiatowski2924 its my opinion but NFR is her most atrtical acclaimed album
NFR >>>>>>>>
I am jealous. I wish I could listen to Lana album for the first time again. And the best part is - no matter where you are in your life, what is going on, you are younger or older - there will be always song that you can relate to, it will always move you. She's poetry.
Lana is so uniquely her own artist, that's why it's interesting to hear her music.
Taylor loves lana. She also acknowledged lana in her billboard woman of the year speech how lana was slandered severely by critics in the beginning of her career but yet rose to success despite the double standards in the industry.

the "louder" part in the intro of born to die many people actually don't notice it even in the fandom, in the beginning she he says louder she says "who me?" but at the end of the song he says it and she doesn't respond... meaning she basically died.
Born To Die (2012)
Paradise (2012) - my favorite
Ultraviolence (2014)
Honeymoon (2015)
Lust For Life (2017)
Norman Fucking Rockwell (2019)

Born to Die song making more sense when you played it during night time drive.
Dark paradise -
The song is thought by fans to be written about Del Rey's past lover K and his death, although this is not definitely confirmed. There are some themes in the track that can provide evidence to this theory, though. The song contains references to Del Rey's love of someone who has passed away, and her desire to join him.
Heard this album about a gazillion times by now but hearing these songs just gave me sooooo much chills
I think it’s bcos I’m watching someone enjoy it for the first time like I did years ago🥺🥺

I was in a Discord voice chat with my sister and I literally told her "I GTG CAITLIN JUST REACTED TO LANA AFTER WE HAVE BEEN HARASSING HER" and left to watch this.
I am so excited
You definitely need to listen to her unreleased tracks!
I dont think she's gonna listen to, cause they were released without lana's consent
trash this is so unnecessary but it’s my only flex my friends teacher dated lana del rey and Prom Song is about him 😎😎
No name prove it
No name yeah and my grandma used to babysit Lana
@trash i just listened to it and I'm like, "how am I just listening to it rn???? It's now my favorite lana unreleased song
It''s very unfortunate that Cola isn't included in that album. I would have loved to see her reaction to the legendary first line of that song.
Same goes for Ride and its monologue.
Body Electric, Bel Air and Ultraviolence are also classicals, I think. But every of Lana's songs is so special that you'd have to hear it once in your life.
EDIT: I just came to the end of the video and hope that she will continue these reaction videos with other albums.
I love Body Electric so much. ☹
Random fact.
When I was like 7 me and my siblings wrote a parody of Blue Jeans. It was about a guy promising Lana that he would shave his beard but putting it off until he eventually disappeared.
I wish we would have written it down.
To this day we still talk about it 😂
Damn the FBI, you are a crackhead.
@@dc9067 Thank you.
Oddly enough I am told that a lot 😂
Now i cant wait for honeymoom, the cinema vibe, the lyrics, one of her best
So happy you’re diving into Lana! I feel like you’re going to LOVE the Honeymoon album. Like seriously. That’s going to be your shit. Ultraviolence is my personal favorite and nothing will ever compare to that album. Can’t wait to see you react to them all!
Nfr is like honeymoon but better
Luther Floyd I personally like NFR SO MUCH BETTER than Honeymoon. I just feel like Caitlin will like Honeymoon the best.

this is such a timeless album, you can pick it up years later and find a whole new favorite song. it’s just that good
Taylor nominated Lana the artist of the decade for her in her speech for Billboard Women In Music.
every Lana song is like a rollercoaster of emotions and when you finish it, it's like getting back to reality and waking up from a mystique dream
I feel that “Radio” is so underrated. That song is one of my favorites !
Yes Taylor is a huge Lana fan. She said in an interview that Lana is one of the few artists where she listens to everything they drop and then goes back and looks into the lyrics properly.
ultraviolence is gonna destroy her lmao
i think the beauty of Lanas song resides a lot on her lyrics, videos, how everything connects and especially the references of earlier lyrics and songs on some other songs like on Norman Fucking Rockwell or her unreleased music, that's like perfect, i love lanas music
i'm so excited for this discography reaction 😩 lana has been my favorite artist for over 5 years so whenever someone reacts to her discography or albums it makes me SO HAPPY
"say you'll remember me...standing in a nice dress staring at the sunset?" listen to the chorus of without you and then wildest dreams
Gurl if this album is necessarily a tearjerker for you, NFR is the one.
Omg yes! Now i need to see a Marina And The Diamonds (MARINA) reaction video! 😭
Wildest Dreams wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for Without You
I can’t wait for the rest of the videos in this series. Her music evolves over every album and you can clearly hear and feel the evolution. It’s simply amazing.
I always thought that about Taylor and Lana, I love both of them 🥰 also always felt like Wildest Dreams and Without You kinda sound like song cousins 👌😌
Wildest dreams is inspired by without you
The fact you mentioned James Bond makes so much sense. Like HOW doesn’t she have a Bond song yet???
Cuz they always ger whoever is the most popular artist everytime a Bond movie comes out
Omg you’ll literally have a breakdown listening to Ultraviolence
Taylor Swift is a big fan of Lana Del Rey. She said that Lana Del Rey is her biggest influence. Amazing reaction❤️.
I would not be the same person today if this album had never came into my life. Keep listening to it and her other works. They are transformative.👏🏼 ps loved the video
Fell in love with Lana in 2012. I was literally 11 years old vibing to Lana singing about old men and stealing cop cars LMAO
“This song brings me back to a place I’ve never been” pretty much sums up this album it gives you a life that you lived in and an atmosphere you’re currently living in and honestly i love it and love your reaction ✨

Yeeeeees i've wanted this for so long thank youu. Yeah, absolutely, lana is a mood, she creates a new world. Her songs are really cinematic
i like how she didn’t notice the similarities between wildest dreams and without you
I freaking LOVE everytime that someone that's starting to listen to Lana says that her music sounds like it could be in a James Bond soundtrack, bc she's been considered for the bond soundtracks before but she never gets picked :(
ohhh I am SOOO excited! Her discography gets better and better as it goes on, can’t wait for this journey 😊🤗
Just crying before breakfast, it’s fine! 😭 So happy your video showed up in the recc’s, Lana is a siren!
"Feet don't fail me now, take me to the finish line" is so vague but so visual the same time

Late 2021 for me
I love your minimalist video edits. They aren’t to much and subtle and make me chuckle.
Finally! I was waiting for this omg. I’m so happy. I love Lana, she is my poetry. I’m so excited go on this ride with you!
I know you've been through hardship with your past relationship, but you're literally ethereal and you seem like such a sweet, complex and emotionally intelligent person. You will find your person one day and you'll look back on that hardship and thank god you experienced it because it lead you there.
