Here’s my tip for kitting up DAC kits with ELIZABETH WARD style containers. Start with the least number of drills and the teeny containers, and work your way up. That way, you’re using all your different sizes most efficiently.

Try a piece of dryer sheet just a tad smaller than the bag - give it a wee rub & good shake, remove & hopefully ‘game changer’ Dryer sheet can be reused a number of times. Love Love LOVE your video’s Laura ….. Thank you ❤

Lemon oil works great to get rid of sticker residue. And it smells great too!
I think a lot of people would probably be tearing out their hair in frustration watching me kit up. I was kitting up my mystery kit from Jaded Gem Shop while listening to you in this video and I wasn’t sorting my drills in the least amount of sense order, lmao. I always put them in DMC order to begin with to make sure I have all the little packets since the same color can come in two different Ziploc bags from that particular manufacturer. Then I pull out my kitchen scale and kit up according to weight to ensure the entire color fits in the right size EW container. 😂 Containers go in the try every which way until all colors are done and then I sort by symbol afterwards, not before. I have all colors every which way and out of DMC order again within the first two minutes. Lmao!!
I’m so glad you took some time to yourself last week and rested. Every year I talk to my therapist about my tendency to want to hibernate in January and she affirms that it truly is a deep seated sociological need for some people to withdraw, stay closer to home and hearth, and turn to more crafty handiwork to pass the time. ❤

I agree. Those drills in the baggies are the worst for static. I appreciate that they are in individual bags but dang they are hard to organize.

Oh hon, I hear yeah! I’m in Michigan so I know about bone chilling cold….i also have dry cracked hands a lot , no big deal ..😊
I find cutting a piece of dryer sheet to just smaller than the size of the bag makes it easier for all the drills to touch it while shaking the bag!

Hey Laura, I finished Where The Fun Never Ends from DAC this past weekend. AND, I picked up my truck 🛻 on Saturday. I had placed the order July 20th and got it on January 20th - so, a 6 month wait, paid cash, so no car payment. It’s a Ford Maverick hybrid in Cactus Gray 🎉 so, I had a great weekend!

Static is the bane of my existence right now. Wisconsin weather means everything's staticy, even with a humidifier. I found the best trick when kitting up is to pop the bags in the freezer for at least an hour beforehand. I grab like 5 colors, dump them into their containers with a piece of dryer sheet, then grab another 5. I also scrub down my trays and funnel with a dryer sheet.
I was wondering, where do you find diamon painting events? I use insta, but i don't know where to start to find events. Thanks!
ETA: I wasnt sure if you heard, but DAC reduced the time limit on points. They now expire after 6 months. The expiration date does reset if you post a pic or video review tho.

I know what your mean about not carrying over paintings into a new month. I plan monthly and expect to finish them. It makes it seem cleaner in my brain somehow. I can look at a a painting and know what month and year I completed it in. The only exception is a max color painting. Those usually take me 5-6 weeks so they have to be scheduled across 2 months. I don’t do those too frequently. Maybe once a year. Can’t wait to see what you think about those new Oraloa squares.

I am doing both the bingos this yea. Kirbies is much easier. The other one requires tons of planning. Still fun if you finished a lot each year. We shall see how many coveralls I can get. There’s also the Dac Challenge 2024 in the vip group and the challenge in DAC fans Canada to consider.
I don't know if I've seen the board for the other bingo, I'll have to track it down. I also haven't checked out the DAC challenge!

With the Walmart thing, yeah - once they bring your order to the car they can’t change anything. They can’t take it off your order. You’d have to go inside and make a return. Even if the item is incorrect or defective.
Usually our store waits to “officially” close the order until they come out. Not sure exactly what they call it. Not the end of the world, at least I was able to get a refund. First world problem for sure 🤷🏻♀️🤗
Thanks Laura. I love all your videos. Quick question, do you ever find that the labels peel up from the washi tape? I have that happen on some of the stickers. I have been ok with it, but sometimes they actually pop off. Cheers from cool Canada - same weather as you! 🤭
I don't usually have an issues with the stickers falling off the washi. They only time I have a problem is when I'm using the craftmates lockables. Pulling and pushing the containers in and out of the case seems to catch the labels. I have used a little piece of clear tape to hold it in place before.

Oh no, that's annoying! My number one putty that lasts forever is from Nyx's Notions. I can complete a whole kit with one load. It is a bit different in terms of formula, so there is a learning curve. But definitely give it a try!
