I had a big issue with my furnace. I have watched many videos, but yours is the only one that showed me where to find the low pressure switch. After I replaced the part, my Goodman dual stage furnace works like before. Thank you very much! Excellent explanation! 🙏

Homeowners hate when you tell them that they're blocking the AC with something like that. They seem to get very defensive.

just rattle off it's over $3000 to replace it when it quits from overheating. that usually changes their tune fast ;)

Company I currently work for used to only install Goodman and amana. This low fire pressure switches fail frequently due to moisture. Pretty common in those models

Great work thanks for sharing I’m from Michihan sometimes it gets too cold for furnaces in crawl spaces some times a little moister will freeze inside pressure switches or lines when furnace is not running ,

I noticed a T in the hose (actually two T's) to both of those pressure switches. I couldn't see the spec on the other switch to know what it takes to close the other one, but if there's enough negative pressure to close one (depending on its spec, of course) but not the other then it seems pretty obvious to me the switch has to be bad. If the vacuum was low coming from the heat exchanger none of those switches would be working. I think you're right to put the manometer on it to make sure there's no flu issue but with those T's in the hose, that tells much of the story in this case.

I always bring a pad lock for crawl space calls. I open the door and put my lock on the hasp and lock it. That way, no one can mistakenly lock me in. Don’t ask how I know this.

Certainly, the air to AC unit is obstructed . That will cause damage to the unit . Good catch !. Thanks . 👍

Great diagnosis process ! Wish most HVAC folks would do the same vs. "project" what is wrong without testing first. I also agree with the type and make of the part replacement due to the engineering variances there are from make to make...get the OEM part and go from there.

I use a small hand held manual vacuum pump and listen for a click and ohm out the contacts. Auto stores sell them for drawing brake fluid into a caliper when changing the fluid.

Some of them are worthless for home stuff if you use them more than once of year. There are some diamonds in the rough though there, and thier quality is getting better as they seem to actually pay attention to youtube tool reviews, especially the guys like AvE and projectfarm that take them apart and test them rigorously.

first thank you for this valuable video
    i got a gpg14m unit
past days it worked perfectly daytime,
nighttime it simply didnt turn on
vented and within venting tried 3 times sparking then itself cut off
really mysterious why daytime works and nighttime not
i was guessing mightbe daytime less user on gasline, and gas pressure higher
but i think its conspiracy theory :-)

Why in the world would you try and hide a condenser?? Does the homeowner know that, just about every house has one and is common to be seen at every home? I sure as heck don't go around the neighborhood and say, eww, thats an ugly condenser or that's a pretty one. If the homeowner is that stuck up on appearance of their property, they should move into the woods where no one can see the house.
