To end hostility, NSCN-IM signed ceasefire agreement with GOI in 1997. Since then NSCN-IM never pulled out. There was stalemate in the negotiation but no party pulled out of the talk. So to say NSCN-IM is onboard again for the talk is superfluous.

The talks will never end as long as we live. Nagas also need to contemplate over contemporary realities though it may be difficult. So we should accept a practical and feasible solution in order to usher in peace for the sake of educated youths and also for future generations, because if any thing goes wrong it will be a huge loss and also chaos.

@John Doe well there will be some lost souls in every society. Even there are other people in your part of the world who refer to us as chinkis or Chinese and so on. If we are gonna listen to those people we are still immature. About the ILP and all there are some things which we need to preserve and protect as we come from a different background. Also, specifically in context to Nagas, we only want peace and stability in our region. Yes there are those who are filled with the spirit of secceding from India as a separate Nation, but I onmy hope they will come to sense of reality and the fact that we can all live as one great Nation. But to achieve this, even people from other region of the country besides NE also need to show respect and love and make us feel that sense of belonging. Otherwise surely if we are neglected and look down. We will feel like outsiders which in turn will only lead to all this petty issues which both sides can never come into conclusion. Personally, I believe that I belong to Naga community but Iam also a proud Indian. And nobody can take that away from me. I was born and raised as a tribal soul as an Indian. I only wish and hope the rest of the countrymen also think the same as me.

Before you speak about Nagaland issues I suggest you to reinvestigate more about history of Nagaland. Please don't misinterprete the history and mislead others.
For your clarification the Nagas starts its movements as early 1918..
And do remember the Indian don't know who were the Nagas and so as the Nagas too. Before the British invasion the Nagas were never under anyone.. They were independent.

Shame on you.. it looks like northeast is occupied by the nagas. There is no nagas in manipur.. nagas settled only in nagaland. We are also living in nagaland, arunachal pradesh, manipur, bangladesh and myanmar. We also require the same accord like the nagas. If this accord is sign, remember we also need the same accord to be sign for us by the govt of india. Otherwise big consequences will be there also will be more worse than the NSCN terrorist. Let the govt of india understand this issue.

Yeah, but in 1962 when Nehru India abandoned NE during Sino-india war, why didnt Nagas declare themselves soveriegn and independent? There was no Indian forces and chinese were yet to come, what better chance then that. Shekhar Gupta of The Print recently revealed that in his conversation with Naga leaders they told him that they knew they will come under chinese rule as soon as they declare themselves independent, they prefer India over china and so they choose not to declare independent. So, plz dont try to fool others speaking about naga independence, you just want to squeeze some more money from the centre that's all.

GOI is still concealing this matter. Naga history is very young in comparible to that of Manipur . Example... They don't have common language...
