It would have been cheaper to import some buses from the UK or from China that would be much cheaper much more economic as well because those buses would be efficient and maybe electric buses as well so I think that would be cheaper

I was thinking the same thing, but this route might be cheaper

Refurbished buses slated to last additional ten years with two years warranty.
New engines, suspensions, seats and other parts are being installed.
Substantially lower cost than purchasing new plus technology transfer will be obtained because it will be done in Jamaica.

The vessel taking the one hundred new buses from China to Jamaica has journeyed across the Pacific Ocean and is currently skirting Central America for arrival at the Panama Canal by weekend.
More detailed information will be provided in due course.

Bless up again bro thank you for another great videos as always I’can say Jamaica 🇯🇲 🚎 bus service are not as reliable or excellent as we would like but let me tell you I’m living in California lis angles to be exact and there are few routes if you miss a bus you has to wait for another hour before the next one

Wow. I wonder if JUTC ever get there

I'm worried that the new 70-100 buses that are supposed to arrive in Jamaica this week may only go to Portmore Depot. The reason why I say this is because Portmore Depot is currently the only JUTC Depot that can handle CNG buses. They have been using CNG buses since 2019. And it's currently unknown if Rockfort and Spanish town depots are making a CNG fueling plant. Also, of the buses that are being refurbished, Portmore Depot has these two bi-articulated buses that are still serviced that are also on the refurbishment list. I'm glad they are refurbishing those two buses because they have been servicing the JUTC for over 20 years, 2001 specifically. The JUTC needs to buy more articulated buses, but at this point, it may be impossible because the amount of CNG Golden Dragon Triumph and CNG Nav12 buses they're are planning to order and/or even other standard buses in mind and the JUTC can't find a manufacturing market that builds articulated buses or long buses to handle the roads of Jamaica.

Thanks for the info. I think all the Depots can manage CNG.

The one hundred CNG buses expected to arrive NEXT WEEK will be sent to the Portmore Depot because it has the capacity to handle CNG buses and Kingston will take existing buses from Portmore.

Thanks. The last set.of CNG buses, didn't they goto all the Depots.

To drivinginjamaica: You may be talking about that other new bus that's at 0:59. First, that is not a CNG Bus, it's diesel. These buses are currently at all depots, yes, but Portmore Depot will very soon push them out to other depots to make way for the amount CNG buses they're getting. The bus at 0:59 in particular is based out of Spanish Town depot.

No sell the buses to persons who are interested in them

Not sure anyone wants these buses. Usually coaster buses used by others
