There is more bass on the Devialet, but there is a huge price difference between this and the Helsinki. I'd say the mids and highs are very indistinguishable.
I've had my pair of 900W reactors for a few days now. The sound quality is mind blowing, but my right side reactor keeps dropping out and I have to reconnect very often. Its driving me crazy. Does anyone have any tips for maintaining a consistent stereo connection. I use a Bluetooth connection with my mobile to play music. Both reactors are plugged into the same wall socket and my network interface on both reactors is set to WI-FI. Ive tried Auto and PLC, they both drop out. Funny thing is, that its always my right side speaker that drops out, yet my Devialet app says the left side speaker is missing. Very strange. Any help would be much appreciated.
Wonderful video Toni... please can you compare this speaker vs B&O M5. And please (BITTE) make a frequency measurement of the M5, I’m really interested in the M5.
Dear Toni, I am confused to pick between the Sonos Play 5 Gen 2 and Devialet Phantom Reactor 900.Can you confirm the mids of the Reactor? Are they up to the mark ? And how does the Reactor stack up against the Gold Phantom Freq Response wise and Not the Power because the Golds have huge power. Apart from that is the reactor sound signature same as the golds ? Let me know please. Thanks
Hey there Tony , any chance of seeing a review or comparison of Harman Kardon Citation 500 , JBL L16, B&O M5, Bose SoundTouch 30, B&W Zeppelin Wireless?
Shit when i'm listening to bury a friend i hear all bass notes of bass on my b&o mc120.2 (it's realy deep bass) and i can hear all bass notes from this devialet, damn it's good
Hi Toni - it would be intesting to compare with one of your favourite speakers’ Beoplay M5’ In your last review of the larger Phantom the M5 kept up quite well 🎶🎵
Speaker Toni yeah... Reactor vs M5 is a good much. I personally would prefer the M5 for the looks and for the more spacious sound, and I guess the M5 is slightly louder. Bass wise I think the Reactior doesn’t win by much.
It really seems to depend on the song? 1st song Viva, 2nd song phantom for example. I have a pair of monitor audio golds on audition that sound fantastic with piano but horrible with classic rock. They are going back because I listen to rock more often but if all I did was listen to classical and piano I would look no further!🤪. The phantom was made for techno it seems. By the way that Billie Eilish song is fantastic sounding! Just put in my critical listening play list.👍😇. It seems for $200 Harman is a fantastic compromise and it’s portable!😱🤫😇
Vifa has a really linear, neutral sound, and devialet has the best bass because it's can go down to 30hz or under. It can make a much fuller, full bodied sound if the question is the bass. Vifa has stereo sound, devialet mono for this money either only... Good comparison because it's a good question. Definitely not the same price and category but i like it.
the measurement is done with loudness on ? because it doesn't look great and it's very unprecised in the bass, you should have tried without to give it one more chance
phantom sounds more muffled compared to the helsiniki, because it has more poreful deep bass but less refined/detailed treble.does not sound that clear and open like with the helsiniki. maybe because the big bass is overlaying the higher details somehow:D
@@speakertoni2680 Das schafft die Partybox von JBL auch. Klar, für die Größe des Devialet ist das Wahnsinn aber weit entfernt von den Herstellerangaben und 30hz gibt es schon für weniger als die Hälfte. Thanks for comparing it with onyx studio 5. I'm glad it doesnt lose in the bass. Btw my onyx failed to play this song, but my headphone played ok. I guess the phantom is similar. czcams.com/video/na6clL0y_yw/video.html
Bury A Friend was cool, I didn't know Billie Eilish. You seem to get around copyright more than others on CZcams, & play interesting music. I know you're not a d.j. but speakers are about music after all.
the phantom is maybe worth 500€ max. compared to the harman kardon onyx studio. but not 1000€ wtf....for 1000€ I rather get a Vifa oslo or a fucking teufel rockster for a big party. 5x harman onyx studio 5 = 1x phantom reactor? thats not justified.
Maurice Yeah but two reactors in stereo would be a beast for the size. Of course you can get a much better hi-fi system for the price of those two, but it needs a lot of place in your room( my room isn’t big so I can’t place big speakers)
@@speakertoni2680 I know, but buy a cheap wooden sub, say off bk electronics with those small speakers, and it'll be better than this. The price these are is just ridiculous, I know there may be fancy electronics behind it but its basically a subwoofer with a speaker built in, impressive to demonstrate and perhaps to some people but it doesnt sound great like a high quality hi-fi speaker.
Eddie ugly in your opinion I like the design Also, you’re paying for that sound in a small package And again, I know many big subs/speakers for that price that will sound far worse than this
@@speakertoni2680 Not many, if theyre half decent speakers/subs it should not be difficult to better, and if it was a looker we'd all want it, we dont :) Yes looks can be as subjective as sound, but its just odd, and limited to where you could use it, standard speakers are more versatile. I had a demo with a room full of people against many much cheaper (but still decent) speakers and we all concluded the Devialet was the worst on the day.

Could you do this live one time? like clavinetjunkie instead of just static pictures? Makes it more authentic
i suggest speaker tony keeping his style, that 's the reason we love him.
Theses are not pictures tou can see his shadow moving
please do an outdoor test for the reactor, if possible do compare it with the gold phantom both indoors and outdoors
And ultimate comparison: two Devialet Phantom Reactors vs your old passive KEF speakers connected to Marantz receiver.

I like how the devialet has more lows and you can hear them nicely but not overpowering
Can you review Sonos Beam and compare it with other soundbar around the same price range? Thanks
Thanks toni for the video, really appreciate it!
In my opinion 1000 dollars for devialet does not justify the gap between it and vifa/onyx...
Every said word is true. Devialet not worth the money
You have made a big leap in video and review quality! Keep em comin'
Wonderful video Toni... please can you compare this speaker vs B&O M5. And please (BITTE) make a frequency measurement of the M5, I’m really interested in the M5.
How come you don’t like the record the picture of the speaker while playing music?
Considering the price for the Devialet Phantom Reactor 900 and Vifa Helsinki speakers, you have to appreciate the Onyx 5 sound
The best speaker reviewer on CZcams!!!!!!
TruAgape1234 :)
The HK Onyx 5 was 109€ this last wekeend on Amazon Spain, and I dont think this Devialet Phantom Reactor is 10x better.
It is hear it live
yessss

Hi, Are you still using the DPA 4060 for these tests?
i think Onyx Studio 5 got me on the price/performance issues. yet the Devialet Phantom Reactor is so outstanding!!!
@speakertoni can you do Devialet Phantom Gold vs Keplich reference speakers and Definitive Technology BP-9080x speaker?
Nice comparison.. however I wanted to see the size difference but you never kept these side by side.
3:26, does the right driver act like a passive radiator ?
THDS no, both are active
It just looks a bit weird in the camera
Is it really 98db?
Can this speaker compete with the Bose S1 Pro?
tony tucker they have a pretty different approach but I’d say it can compete
Great video. Wish you compared it to the Oslo. Have you tried?

No need for me to say anything here, you said everything i wanted to say, wow, spot on review and capture . well done Toni. been a while .
supernova1976 thank you!
Can u compare it with the kef lsx in a future video please?
Terrificten I sold my lsx already
Then could you compare it with the gold phantom? Which phantom is more worth it?
I’ll do that

Was the Onyx plugged in? Makes a difference?
It does make a difference but it wasn’t plugged in in this video
DEVIALET PHANTOM HAS STEREO SOUND OR MONO??
mono
oh no, you skip the best moment to billie eilish !
Wie immer sehr interessant! Vielleicht auch mal gegen KEF LSX oder B&O M5 antreten lassen? Fände ich spannend.

Waiting for Devialet Phantom Reactor vs Apple HomePod :)
Home pod needs waaaay more power to sustain the deeper bass at high volume.
TruAgape1234 against the beoplay m5 would be more comparable, loudness is about the same, but bass on high volume, no chance for the m5.
toni, please come back,
we need you to do a proper review of the new devialet mania :)

Can you do marley bag of riddims 2 vs onyx studio 5
