On my sewing adventured today I am sharing everything I made in December 2023. I realised that is is one year since I released my first CZcams clip so I also wanted to say thank you for all of the amazing and wonderful support that you have given to my channel over the past year I REALLY appreciate it!

Wonderful pattern matching in the Ilford. I have seen " designer" clothes which do not even try to achieve this level

All of your makes are fab. I love your padded coat.I thought the extra make was a collar and bib to go under or over your coat to give it a different design according to the weather. I much prefer your make of the matching dog coat.You looked so cute together.. I loved your first jacket and your pattern matching was perfect.I use larger poppers or buttons on coats to hold the fronts in place.I like the size you have used as it suits the coat.Could you please let me know what size you use as I'd like to try those.Thank you
Thank you very much for your comment! I really love the matching dog coat too! The poppers I used are 15mm wide, they are the same size on the first check coat and the quilted coat/dog coat too. They are hammer on ones. I am really pleased I used these ones!
Lovely makes. I’m making a second Marnie at the minute in similar floral fabric (not Liberty though) and I chose to do the tucks but I might not bother in future as yours looks lovely without.

Amelia, I can't believe it's already been a year! Congratulations! You've made so many lovely things in December. I'm amazed by the perfectly matched patch pockets on the Ilford. And then the Blanca flight suit - gorgeous! That pattern has been on my list for ages as well.

The Ilford jacket is my favourite from this great batch; it looks so cosy and you did a fab job on the pattern matching.
Patsy's coat is adorable as well. I'll be interested to hear if anyone ever notices that you two are twinning when you're out on a walk together - please report back if anyone says anything to you.

Beautiful makes Amelia and congratulations on your year anniversary. I'd love to know how you lined the Ilford, I interlined mine but it looks like you did something different. I've never seen the Jordan overalls before, love them! The fabric choice is great, is it a denim? Happy new year 🎉

The Jordan Overalls are so comfy and lovely to wear! It is a stretch light weight denim, sadly I don't know where it is from as I got it from the fabric swap! It was a great find for sure.
All your makes are just gorgeous but my favourite has to be Patsy’s coat 💕🐾

Hi! What pattern did you use for the dog coat? It’s so adorable. Thanks ❤
Thank you for your comment! I used her existing coat as a pattern, so I just traced around it then bound the edges. If you didn't want to bind the edges you could cut two fabrics with seam allowance and sew them right sides together and bag them out. I have done that before too.

Thanks for sharing your makes! I’m also considering making the Ilford jacket in a heavier wool blend. Did you size up from the size you’d make in lighter fabric? I sewed my first Ilford according to my measurements (the ones the pattern suggests). I used 12 oz canvas and the jacket feels rather snug, and I’m wondering how many sizes I should go up from my “regular” size.
Hello, I didn't size up for the body of the jacket as it is quite oversized already. I do find the sleeves can be a bit snug with thicker fabrics. I would definitely make sure that the sleeves are big enough.
