Great list as always! The library scene in Kairo/Pulse has to be one of the scariest scenes ever put to film. The fact that it takes place in broad daylight, the other guy sees the spirit child too, and is completely nonchalant about it being there, discussing how it can't be caught. Terrifying stuff.
It’s so unnerving!
I highly recommend Memoir of a Murderer . It’s on Tubi and it’s fantastic, at least I think so. It’s unique and has great tension. This is one of my favorite genres of horror. Thanks for the video 🎉
YES, I really enjoyed that one!
Thank you I really only watch Tubi. That one looks very interesting. Much appreciated
I am from India and I will recommend a couple of Indian horror movies:
1920
Chhorii
Both are available on amazon prime
Amazing - thank you!!
Awesome list! A few others that I enjoyed are: The Wailing, Warning: Do Not Play, and Satan’s Slaves (same Director and lead actress as Impetigore)
Great List. Some others I like. The Medium (Shudder), I Saw the Devil (Tubi), The Wailing (Netflix/Peacock) A Tale of Two Sisters (Shudder) Thanks!
Yessss been waiting for this thank you!!!
❤❤❤❤
This is incredible! I've only seen a few of these but really interested in checking out the others. Thanks for putting this list together!
This was a really cool idea/inspiration for a video!
Great list, thank you.....I highly recommend Cold Fish on Shudder. Based on a real serial killer.
Ohhh thank you - I’ll check it out!
Loved it, Great reccommendations.I picked up Mon Mon Mon Monsters from a thrift store yesterday. It's Asian horror.Haven't watched it yet.
I liked The Sadness and Pulse is one of the best horror movies ever.
I recommend War of the Gargantuas. It's by Ishiro Honda the original Godzilla director. Two giant humanoid monsters beat each other bloody and get attacked by the military. The green gargantua is a vicious asshole. He eats people! The brown one is trying to make him not be an asshole. It's darker than most horror/monster movies.
Tokyo Gore Police - This is so freaky. The police are at war with mutants who turn their wounds into crazy weapons. Tons of comic book-y body horror! It's so fun and over the top. It's more action-horror than anything. It stars Eihi Shiina from Audition! If you want to see her fight crazy monsters with a sword I can't recommend this enough!
Both are on Tubi. Subbed and dubbed version of TGP on there too.
Thank you!
South Korean horror film Phone from 2002 is completely underrated. It's not available to stream anywhere that I can see, but at the moment, it is on CZcams.
Cool, I’ll check it out. Thanks!
This is a great video thx ❤
Loved this, and it's great that so many of the movies can be found on Tubi! I really enjoy Asian horror, there is so much great tension building and amazing imagery. And I like that the film makers assume that we, the viewers, are smart, things are rarely over explained.
I agree!
The Wailing (2016, S. Korea) was great. I've seen a few of these, the rest are going on my never ending watchlist. Thanks.
I wish I had your knowledge about horror movies, it always impresses me. My small contribution is to recommend Ichi the Killer, by the same director as Audition, available on Tubi. Thanks for the video!
creepy screen shot; good job!
From your list, the only 1 I heard before is Ringu. When it comes to Asian movies, I usually watch Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan and Jet Li AKA martial-arts movies. I think Brandon Lee's The Crow (1994) is pretty close to be horror movie. Cool video.
Pulse is one of the pillars of J-horror !
Some recs on Tubi:
Exte - Hair Extensions, that hair song will haunt you for days !
The Machine Girl, the better Japanese Splatter out there !
Vampire Clay, the clay body horror film that you must see !
...
Ringu is my favorite on this list. What are your thoughts on Train to Busan. It is the best zombie movie I've ever seen. The Odd Family: Zombie On Sale is a fun zombie movie. I do not know where these are streaming.
I love Train to Busan - it makes me cry every time I watch it!
You think the guy in Audition deserved his fate because he held an audition under a false pretense? That's a wild opinion.
I was kidding
@@mandysmorgueofhorror Glad to know! You may want to check out other Takashi Miike movies. Ichi The Killer is probably his next most popular film. It's insanely gross and gory, so be warned (it's a bit much for me, but I've gotten a little squeamish in my old age). Another great Asian movie that's horror adjacent is Battle Royale. The somewhat uniquely Japanese premise is a bunch of pain in the ass high schoolers are forced on an island and have to fight to the death or have their head explode. You should be able to stream them both on Prime.
@@6AM_YT I think I saw Itchi a looong time ago and remember it being brutal. I think he has a new one out called Lumberjack the Monster that sounds good!
