As a young boy in April of 1981 my father took my late brother and myself fishing in False bay. We were on a 32 foot long 12 foot wide boat. One day a guy on the boat hook a massive Great white. The shark came up to the boat and at one stage swam under the boat. We saw the tail on the one side and the dorcel fin on the other side. So from the tail to dorcel was roughly 12 to 13 foot. Many people had tried to catch this beast as there were many ropes and cables hanging from it. It was a huge shark.
I’d like this guy to narrate other stories. Great voice.
Thank you so much for the story… I’m sorry you lost your Dad.
I’m jealous of you and your father’s relationship. My father wasn’t a good father, so I appreciate you!
The shark that killed lewis borren was approximately 20-30 feet range in Cali. Yes they are out there.
Lol a 10 foot give or take 😅
I'm so sorry for your loss 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Ive heard that sharks bigger than 20+ GW sharks have attacked people and predated them like Mr skinner and the English lady the people who saw these attacks said they was dinosaur size and if you get 23ft tiger sharks then we have to get bigger GW sharks
Having some Durban Poison as I listen to the story .
Good Dagga, zol jol.
The fact is there are hundreds of submarines out there......not just one
thats not fact but assumption
Yeah you literally need to look up with the word fact means, cause you just posted on of the stupidest comments of all time
I hope you start filming every outing when you are studying GW sharks so we can actually get video of these Huge sharks.
👍❤️🦈Sharks have been an obsession of mine since grade school ( 80s/90s) way back when my dad & I purchased a book at the “book fair “ with real photos of makos & whites ! I was hooked😂!! Mysterious creatures with sharp teeth! I have a respect & loving fear of them! I I do believe they are being studied & researched to death in the name of preservation, conservation & “science” especially near America where they put sharks on the big ships & shove a tube down their throat causing them harm .. a shark is weightless all of its life in water ..then its put on something solid & it does major damage to its enternal organs etc. its common Sense & really sad but that’s another coversation for another day!! I know that there are people out there who fish sharks and I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with that...I don’t put shark life above human life but I believe there’s a lot of fake people out there pretending to do good scientific work for sharks & its total farce( not u btw) p.s. Im glad to find your channel there’s not many out there like this ! Keep up the videos *new subscriber!! Believe you when you say there’s huge sharks out there honestly!! 🦈
This dude is FUCKING LIAR 💯
I was born in 82. When you mentioned book fair really took me back. They were awesome!
Love it.
Ty for making this educational video would have loved to have gone fishing with your dad. What an exciting story!
Here there be monsters!
if every body think that Submarine is fake, show us proof that it is true, seeing os believing
I growing up in newengland. Of usa forget going south gets colder depending where u live
This seemed kind of click bait.
I'm glad i live on lake Michigan. No ocean swim.
You just have them bull sharks to worry about then 🤣🤣🤣
@@austinmcnamara8488Yup!😂

What year are you talking about, the Durban tank?
some of us Americans know of south Africa. some of us even know of some Durban fishermen such as Alfred dean .
Alf was from NY
@@craiganthonyferreiraofwhit342 he wasfrom Australia and back in 60s he caught a huge white off of Durban the guy from ny was frank mundus
@@erikivarson5514 yeah mate... he was a Aussie...
Wheres part 1
I have a hard time believing there isn’t a shark 🦈 in the oceans big enough to be a predator to big whales. Usually a predators size depends on the size of their prey and it makes sense that you wouldn’t see them with GW’s because their not hunting seals
Not long ago a circa 15ft great white was filmed attacking a live humpback. It kept biting its tail, between the body and the flukes, making it bleed out.
@@lyndoncmp5751 Yupp, teenage GW shark Helen did that in 2020, severing the arteries near the fluke, let the humpback bleed then drowned it by pushing its head under water. Incredibly smart and planned attack, especially keeping in mind she wasn't even a mature GWS yet. *However* it's important to note that the 32" young humpback was entangled in fishing lines: thus couldn't dive and was weakened and injured prior to Helen taking him down.

That's right. I remember the details now. I didn't remember the shark was called Helen though.
Still clever and adept of the shark though, as you say. And the whale's mass was many times that of the solo shark.
You said that submarine is about 7 meters how can you say that sir if you don’t believe that the episode they had put out on the discovery channel about him I’m thinking that you had just seen another shark that was bigger than most
Because that DC was bigger
Craig has seen the real Submarine, which was about 23/24ft. The exaggerated myth turned it into 30ft or more.
Not a single picture nor video of that so called Submarine from a shark specialist like him ? I call that BS. Pure fallacy...
Welp that's 10 minutes lost
Just some guy talking about his father. Stopped watching after 5:30.
