- The world famous South African Great White Shark, called The Submarine had three legendry encounters with the Ferreira family. Here Craig Ferreira recalls the last time the family encountered The Submarine - the largest great white shark ever to swim the oceans.
In this episode, Craig father Theo Ferreira heads to sea with friend Art Smart - a disbliever about the size of the Submarine. Whilst hunting a fighting a 12ft great white shark, the Submarine appears. It attacks and bites in half the 12ft great white in front of the stunned crews eyes.
What happened to the 2nd half of the Part 6 video? The Submarine was still attached to the back of your Dad's fishing boat by the cable wrapped around the outboard engines. You haven't posted the video explaining how the Submarine got free from the back of the boat. Can you please post a video explaining how the Submarine got free from the back of your Dad's boat?
Yeah. He never uploaded it I suppose
Because it a story and that's it probably
My thoughts exactly! The way he left it; they were in a perilous situation possibly facing being capsized by the enormous animal that was still wrapped up with the boat with no resolution at hand. C’mon! That’s not simply irrelevant detail that was not addressed!
I feel ripped off and now that story seems like a simple fairy tale
Just a story with out the pics, 😜😜😜
Yessss!!!! Finally part 7 I have been waiting.
Craig! We need the next video please!
This is just amazing!!
Love from the Strand 🤗
There is a gap in the story. We left off with it ripping the motor off then began this video with you being off the boat
LOL... He and his father have something in common-- losing footage and video.
He watched Jaws to many times..and is a Sosciopath So made up a very familiar fantasy Tale😂
As much as I love listening to this story, I think he’s full of it lol.
And not a very good story either …
I came here for submarine! I cant get past your dad!
So dissapointed you didnt finish part 6. see other comments!!!!!!!
I loved listening to your life experiences, keep up the great work x
Wow so glad I caught this. I watched the other six last week and was super disappointed I couldn’t find 7 and here it is. Great fisherman story. Great photos hey!
You never finished the story about how your father got the submarine untangled from the propellers on the boat motors. Thats where you ended the story in episode 6.
My God the shark at 16 : 26 is massive i can't imagine size of submarine ! Your father sounded like a true Badass , don't find men like that anymore . Amazing story
Please share the video and pictures of the submarine shark that u took
Wheres the rest of the story from part 6?? The outboard motor all been wrapped up in cable and submarine attack the boat! You can't not tell us, unless it's all a lie and you couldn't think of what to do without making it sound like the jaws movie almost scene by scene again.
Just came across your channel and I loved it , I'm so happy and grateful you started the protect for those awesome creatures that I love they are here for a reason to keep the ecosystem in the oceans clean and If it was up to me and they are still hunting sharks I would feed them to the sharks , humans are the killers of everything in this world . IF YOU GO INTO THE OCEAN AND A SHARK HAPPENS TO BITE YOU IT'S YOUR FAULT WHY IS IT THEY GO AND KILL THE POOR SHARK AFTER IT KILLS SOMEONE ? THE OCEANS WILL DIE IF THE SHARKS ARE KILLED OFF. SO SO SORRY ABOUT YOUR PHOTOS AND TAPES.
Wow! We would have loved to see the film and the photos!!! Maybe someday they will surface.
Wait. How did the shark get away!? You said you were fucked and there was no way to detach the shark.
I remember that old South African joke. A fisherman describes how big a fish he caught is by spreading out his hands. Hes friend says how big and his hands spread out even more and more as his friend does not believe his exaggerated story. Thanks this series reminds me of that old yarn.
Enjoy these videos very much good story teller.
Wow that dorsal fin is huge!!! 🦈
That's what she said.
I have a healthy fascination with all sharks, (in particular Great Whites or White pointers).
I always believed that the largest Great White Shark ever recorded was 23 feet (7 metres) But this Big Mamma aka ‘Submarine’‘ seems more like 9 metres 😳.
I would be interested to know if Submarine is still alive today? (May 2024 please??). Many Thanks 👌🦈
i have a news article in 2002 of him being seen in macassar after that he came into kalkbay harbour killing a well known seal. There is a rumour of him being seen in mosselbay this year but i cant be sure.
Wow. Do you think the Submarine could be still alive? Because it would be very very old then.
Film comes with negatives ?
Could it be the submarine shark that devoured Lloyd Skinner in 2010 at Fish Hoek in South Africa? Several eyewitnesses described a huge minibus/dinosaur size shark that completed it devoured before their very eyes
Possibly the same huge one that took Tyna Webb a few years before?
There has been plenty of big great whites. The shark that killed lewis borren was 23-30 feet. He's saying that the sumbarine was the biggest shark. There are still dino sharks out there.
The BEST part of the story is The Submarine escapes to live another day.
Gr8 video again!!!! TY!!!
What size is the white behind you in this one?!?
submarine showing her dominance by eating your shark
I’ve been wondering about this for awhile now
I would like to see a film made of The Submarine taking the stories and writing a script for the film. Maybe one day the lost video and photos will be found.
What happened to your e-books? Any chance of a rerelease?
Isn't it illegal to fish great Whites in South Africa?
Great story teller but that's all it is. You're just as dramatic as the movie Jaws 😂😂
No negatives??? I have Danie Schoeman pics.
Good fictiional story teller.
By 13, I had studied every book, in every library network I could find, on White and Mako Sharks. A couple of years later, the Jaws book came out, and I DEVOURED IT. But that book almost stank of real fish, blood, sweat, and engine exhaust. Even at 13 years old, I knew that battle was inspired by the real experience of fishermen. Before the 1970's, most of the accounts of White Sharks were from South Africa. So after hearing some of these accounts, it makes me wonder if Jaw's author, Peter Benchley knows what happened to those missing photos and audio tapes. Nevertheless, these people were lucky to live to tell the tale of the "Submarine", and these accounts do have the ring of truth. By the way, some current estimates of the 1981 Lewis Boren attack in Spanish Bay, say that White Shark was well over 7 meters, possibly even 10m! If it wasn't for commercial Long Line fishing, I'd look for a REAL monster that it would take to kill a Southern Elephant Seal, along the coast of Chile.
@@chandlerburse2754 said the proper puppet.
@@chandlerburse2754 yes, of course someone who made a fortune from the theft of a story would surely admit it, if he did. And we should all believe his explanation without question. No matter what the facts are, the media is always right. And JFK was shot with a bullet that zig-zagged in mid air, only to be found laying by his side in the hospital, without a scratch on it.
@@chandlerburse2754 there is a reason you're so upset. Maybe mirror-up and try to calm down.
Obiviously, the story of a Bullshark in a creek has little to nothing in common with Jaws.
Did anyone in New Jersey hire a contractor to hunt down and harpoon a Bullshark with barrels?
You seriously need to know why an author would lie about where he got the idea for a best-selling novel?
Again, why are you so upset?
@@chandlerburse2754 oh please mr. fake-photo armchair-expert, please tell us all how Great White's work.
You've got the phony liberal strawman psycho-tactics down. Swallow the big-media talking points hook-line-and-sinker. Get unhinged about something I never said, then argue with yourself about how ludicrous it is. Very thin.
@@chandlerburse2754 at 0:38 of the following video, a 13yr old surfer sitting on her board, looks down and sees a 16ft white shark "just sitting there" under her board in 8ft of water:

Maybe you should bend over, grab your ankles and pull real hard. After you hear a loud pop, that sensation you feel is called breathing as air fills your lungs. Use your shirt to wipe your eyes and ears. Have a good look around, and remember you've got two ears, so it's more important to listen for the actual truth from people who know.
Instead of just swallowing and regurgitating the crap you're going to get from the mainstream media.
Im disappointed, what happened to the end of the last story from Part 6??
Is there any more video on submarine coming?
Hi, where is the background of your video? Would like to go there
Is there any possibility to see on google a pucture with the submarine?
Is the photo at 16:26 the one of the submarine? Because that is a massive shark.
@The Shape
Yeah, Submarine is more like 35 - 40 feet.
@The Shape
Not really, she's bigger than that.
@The Shape
I believe Submarine isn't a Great White,I believe she's something prehistoric. A Megalodon.
@The Shape
I think she is a Megalodon.
You should use Peter Elliott for live bait....
"the Shawrk"
is this real?
@Slayer is this moster shark still alive?
@Slayer and the shark has not been seen since and if it is still alive?
@Slayer From what do they know?
@Slayer how big was it 38 feet long?
@Slayer I saw a video where that shark was staying still before attacking how because i thought sharks needed to keep moving to breath
I wish this was real. You’re a great storyteller though. Almost believable.
It is real. His dad Theo wrote a detailed account in his book. The Submarine was about 23/24ft ft. Perfectly possible.
@@lyndoncmp5751 the sumbarine was 30 feet
@@meritahasani9750
Theo in Shark Man doesn't give an exact length but he does say that when the Submarine swam alongside his 6 metre boat it was at least a metre longer. There was both head and tail at either end, beyond the boat. Maybe not quite 25ft but near to it. Definitely not 30 ft though. That's an exaggeration. Cheers 👍
Ok, your father gave him the tape and the photos…. But, where is the negatives from the photos?
I'm sorry, this is absolutely sad. Unless you are going to eat an animal you should never torment them like you do.
Everything needs reason...why did Pete Elliot just do nothing. He was sitting on a gold mine too...has to be an explanation.
3 ft equals a meter so 4 meters is only 12 ft. Keep acting like that's a 30 ft
a meter is 39 inchs a 4 meter shark is 13ft.
probably 1000lbs
1 metre is 3.2 feet
You are not even constant with your story
FAKE !
jy praat kak
Theres no such thing as a shark that big of a shark and submarine its a joke and its fake
There have been plenty of 18 to 20 foot White Sharks. It's not all that farfetched for a freak of nature to exist.
I've seen 'Rosie' close up, she was a confirmed 5.2m,, I am positive there are bigger, 7m would not shock me
@@Craig-wp3pz granted most of if not all are dead. The Mediterranean has some stories. And Africa and Australia
Dude, you dead?
How about part 8 ??
