Nicolai knows he's a psychopath and wants to show his detachment and control. Asking him what he sees. Robert just smiles and tells him his own backstory in detail just to show him he knows him all too well. And then turns the tables on him by asking him what he sees. Because he knows that the psychopath in front of him can not read his face at all. Basically saying; you don't know what to expect from me. That's when Nicolai gets flustered. Everyone was in the moment, eyes and ears focused on those two actors and nothing else. Said man then proceeds to nonchalantly, go through your life story in third person, telling you about your exact childhood feelings and reasons why you killed your foster parents when nobody else had even thought of the possibility of it. Then the very same man gives you a chance to stop with what you’re doing like you should be grateful that you’re still breathing. That’s what made Nikolai shook. No name, no fight, no threat; pretty much was built up only to be eliminated in insignificance.
