Thirsty from sprinting to class, I opened up a coke and it went everywhere down my lap. I couldn't get up to go to the bathroom in front of the 300 frickin' people in the room for the embarrassing reason of it looked like I peed myself, had to wait till 90% had left at the end and then I had to proceed to walk clear across campus with everyone looking at my pants and then get on the elevator to the 15th floor of my dorm with it stopping on 10 floors on the way up as people got on and off, staring at me awkwardly. It was SO embarrassing.

@@pinkkittybeans8523 social medicine wouldn't change a thing. It needs to be private health care with government over watch on the pricing. Sort of a checks and balance system. But I doubt that would even work. We just need doctors practicing medicine on their own and not part of corporate hospitals. Most small things can be dealt with by 1 doctor in a small amount of time for a small amount of cash.

@@gbalmain Putting the government in control of anything here in the states is a bad idea. It pretty much already is social medicine, we just pay insurance companies instead of government. The thing that needs to change is the price of healthcare, How you pay for it will not change the cost of the good, but how you administer the good/service will change the price.
Someone has to pay the bill. What about people who go out and destroy their bodies with drugs, tobacco, fast food, etc... the bill is just “free?” They sit around and collect food stamps while I work and pay for it? Might as well pursue a life of drugs, junk food and alcohol if that’s how the system works.

Oh that sunburn is gonna hurt. And the hospital bill. Wow. I just spent 35 days in the hospital, had an operation, daily blood tests, weekly X-rays and CT scans, 2 ambulance transfers and dozens of IV’s and medications. Cost me nothing. Thank god I live in Australia and we have Medicare. We pay a % of income as a Medicare levy so it’s all free when you need it. 😵💫
