  • This is not only a collection of toilets that I have made over the years, but a timeline/chronology; starting from toilet number one which I made in 1997, all the way up to the current toilet that I make now.

    Another edit: what's this toilet on 8:55

      The only one that I’m currently selling out of the bunch is the one at 8:55. I show the Basic and Deluxe versions of it in previous videos. I’m also selling my cutaway toilet, and it’s in a previous video as well.

      Thanks! Yes, always improving. I do plan on making a forward trap toilet that connects at the back for low, mid, and high tank setup.

    This is exciting collection, however, I would have wanted to see how make your molds, the slipcasting and firing process. I am wondering whether one needs to buy a real toilet and cut off the top part with water jets, then make molds out of it and the base part?

      There is a good video on CZcams. It’s from the show How It’s Made, and it shows how human sized toilets are made. If you haven’t seen it, you should check it out.

    That black toilet at 8:22 is a 1990 or a 1991 Kohler Couture!!!!!!! It’s an extremely rare toilet and luckily my old house had one in the upstairs bathroom!!!!!!!!! But the black color is ultra rare! You should make this as a model that flushes

    • @Pottymaker
      @Pottymaker  Před 3 lety +1

      Thanks! I’m unfamiliar with the Couture, so I’m going to check it out! Interestingly, most of the dollhouse toilets that I sold had a different tank than this one. I thought that a less rounded style would look better, so I went with it. As for the color, I am going to make a black version of my new flushing toilet, so that should look pretty wicked!

    • @Pottymaker
      @Pottymaker  Před 3 lety

      I didn’t remember the name from originally seeing the video you posted. I just saw your video again, and that is quite unique! One of the comments said that the Couture is a Wellworth base with a fancy tank. It’s cool to see a round tank like that on a real toilet!

  • @BTRPlumbing

    This is absolutely amazing! I love seeing how much you improved with each toilet you showed! I also love you you kept all of them! That’s pretty crazy you still have your first one from 1997. I remember 9 years ago when your first video came out with the mini toilet and plunger. Thank you for this upload Brad! Can’t wait to see more videos of your fantastic mini toilets! Also just curious on your prototype bowl you made that had the Coke bottle on top, I noticed you had a logo ok there. How did you do that if you don’t mind me asking. It looks super cool! And it would be cool if you could stall your logo onto your new toilets as well!

      Thank you for the kind words! I don’t think that as I was keeping these toilets, I thought I would ever display them for a video. I saw some other CZcamsrs do it, and then I thought hey, I should go unpack mine and see what I have. Now that I see them laid out like that, I really do see the progression over the years! I’m glad that you like and appreciate my work! Not only am I excited for myself when I put out a new video, but I’m also excited for you guys; excited that my little toilets can make you guys chuckle or feel inspired. I’ve definitely been inspired by the amazing collection of videos that I’ve seen from all of you!

      I bought a small bottle of black glaze with a small tip to squeeze it out of. I wrote out my company name on top of the white glaze. I do plan to start putting a logo there again; probably just BMG and leave out the miniatures part.

    Not only these are mint, these look realistic, mad to believe the first pan is the same age as me.
    Mad to see the progress you made over the years, although the recent one you made is the most realistic one of all of them.
    Most of these would have been made with just clay I would think, also before I started modeling, I was making clay toilets myself, sadly binned them last year tho, it's not the best, but soon I do want to make plaster moulds and get a clay 3D printer to make functional toilets.
    Most of my toilets at the moment will be the replicated ones made by Qualitas Bathrooms, my favourite bathroom company as it happens, sadly closed 19 years ago, although Ideal Standard ( a company that owns Armitage Shanks) replicated some of their products later on till 2010 unless you count the Sandringham suite which is still made still.
    Once I finished all the Qualitas stuff, I do plan on moving onto Armitage Shanks and other companies like Twyford etc etc, I will do American type syphonics at some point.

    • @Pottymaker
      @Pottymaker  Před 3 lety +2

      Thanks! Yeah, I can’t believe it’s been 23 years! I don’t feel my age, but there’s no denying it, and I guess my birth certificate doesn’t lie. 😁
      These are all made of different types of clay, except for the resin one. I started into the high fire realm in 2009 with making the votive candle toilets. Once I was into making those for a few years, and knew the mold making process, I started developing high fire flushing toilets. I got my own kiln back in 2015, which made things a lot easier. At that point, I no longer needed to tote my stuff to the studio where I had been firing my stuff for years. And, no more paying to use their kilns.
      Keep up the good work with your toilets! I’m excited to see and purchase your future creation!

    • @yaidenyoung2574
      @yaidenyoung2574 Před 3 lety +2

      @@Pottymaker Same although I'm 23 in December lol, and yea that must have been a bit of an headache as well to pay to use the kilns etc, that can't have been cheap, mind you I do pottery in a school near me and I use the kiln too, only £5 for 2 hours from 5 PM to 7PM, so its not too bad.
      As for the resin toilet, I want to make a glass toilet, the one that you can see through, although I don't see that happening anytime soon 🤣.
      As for all my WCs I will make them with the clay printer and the plaster moulds as well, despite the clay printer, I will sell at a much lower price tho 😉, as for the cistern fittings, I want to make them by hand with quality.
      I am not sure how this will go but with 3D printers you can print plastic, metal, clay and rubber as well I think, that said I will try and make the parts by hand if possible anyway.
      If not I can always print the parts individually with the printer, as I am not sure where I can get small fittings from like bolts etc, although Qualitas cisterns use a close coupling plate which is a metal bracket that goes between the cistern and pan and is secured by the flush valves locking nut.
      As for selling toilets I will definitely sell a collection of them at a fixed price so for e.g if you wanted a Qualitas Lotus, instead of me just shipping 1 toilet, I will ship you a full collection of Qualitas items which includs everything like sinks, WCs and baths as well 😉.
      As for baths, I don't know when that will be, I will do some urinals tho, I did an Armitage Shanks Contour urinal a few months back.
