I wasnt only reffering to the graphics but also what is happening. From an outside perspective the game looks quite clunky and weird, but when you actually play the game you dont really notice that. The Red Orchestra/Rising Storm series are the most immersive games I have ever played, and for me immersion is quite important in games.
Well there are certainly people who complain about the gameplay being 'clunky,' but I think a lot don't realize they're not supposed to feel like a super soldier in this game. You're just playing a grunt, someone who actually runs out of breath and isn't a perfect shot at any given moment. I think the game plays fantastic but this and Vermintide are the reasons I'm finally OC'ing my CPU up from 3.2 ghz

I fucking love this game. Here’s a casual review. I have played it for 120 hours now and I just love the moments when you as an American infantry manages to clear an entire base alone letting your teammates to support you fully capturing it. Nothing can top that adrenaline running through your veins because you realize that on any of the fire fights you encountered doing it you could have easily caught a bullet through your throat and died instantly. Another great moment was when I survived an entire match. It’s insanely difficult but doable if you think through every move you make. I only managed to rack up 12 kills through the entire run though. But in the end it was insanely satisfying. Easily one of the best shooters out there, though it needs some work since there’s still many errors with the game. One of those can be that the ground is letting your soldier clip through a bit making you almost fully invisible for enemies. Or the fact that the normal player die tons until they have reached 80 hours. Another con is that the player base is very low so it’s hard to find a server with reasonable ping and there’s not many maps though I love this game it needs to be said for the average player this is a 6/10 for the hardcore player this is a 7/10 but for the hardcore fps player that doesn’t play anything but fps this is a breath of fresh air and gets a 9/10.

Looking back I really gotta hand it to Tripwire for this trailer, it looks exactly like how the game actually plays. In fact I'd argue that the trailer doesn't do justice to the actual game, probably one of the closest things you'll get to actual Vietnam War PTSD.
This game is by far better than anyother. Ages better than COD or BF. Nothing of those can ever touch this Price and what you get: BF/COD -> 60 bucks on release + day 1 DLC so enjoy spending even more for content that should be there RO/RS2 -> 20-30 bucks/medium price. Thats it. Any future CONTENT will be FREE. Entirely. That is so far why I love the company, Killing Floor got developed through 4 years and during that time always had FREE content patches, they added 2-3x more than what was initial in the game for FREE. They will continue to do so with their games. They show how the game really is like here and have alot of surveys in that they care about the community. WHILE EA DOES NOT EVEN KNOW THAT 60 FPS IS IMPORTANT FOR A VIDEO GAME...yeah..and you pay those guys. While Tripwire Interactive started back then as modders. (the 60 fps thing was because in Need for Speed they srsly said that they "found out 60 fps is important to the community" seriously WTF and you pay those 60 bucks for their trashgames...)
I think they planned for Red Orchestra 3 to also be set in Stalingrad believe it or not. Because in the Red Orchestra 2 campaign, German victory is actually the historically accurate one. Because it ends just as the German forces were about to be surrounded and cut off. So there's more than half the battle left.
I just wish we still had classes and progression. From ro 2 and rising storm 1. I loved the progression, the hours of grinding to level my classes up for 10% faster reload speed. To be better the the average player. Or the cool weapon attachments. Please put it back you lost alot of players becsuse of the lack of progression in that sense

*Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 & Darkest Hours* - I spent 90% of the time crawling on my belly avoiding enemy fire, scared shitless. *Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad & Rising Storm* - I spent a lot of time running. A lot. *Rising Storm 2: Vietnam* - I spent a lot of time hiding in the bushes, even in city map. Can't wait to know what I'll do in the next RO/RS game.
It is a shame this does not have single-player or a campaign as it will be a huge waste once they shut the servers down. I do not buy MP games only for that reason as I already have a ton of useless coasters laying around. Gaming companies do this on purpose to keep you buying the next latest games. That is why I love Nova Logic as their games have single-player, campaigns and servers are still up today for some of the best games ever made like Joint Operations. Buying new games should always be a choice not forced, so that I refuse to buy MP only games for that reason as well.
It's more or less the theme of the war. In Red Orchestra 2, it's a conventional war where there is a distinct enemy in uniform, and a target city, so the atmosphere seem grayer, and more heavy. In Rising storm 2, however, you don't know who is your enemy, since not everyone is a VC, but anyone could be a VC, and since there is no distinct enemy, you can't go bomb cities like in RO2 atmosphere. This also explain the reason why RS2 has brighter color, so that the environment is beautiful, but it also implying the calm before the storm, that in the beautiful view, dangers are lurking everywhere around U.S troops.
Game is really great kinda just start to play it, i think you should make a big update. Make a new better conquest mode heard it was some kinda ? but make it like BF, make maps like Battlefield Vietnam (2004) tanks, planes, cars,vehicles and all that. That would make this game totally awesome
Awesome that you started! The sad thing is that the half of the devteam(Anti-Matter Games) has been assigned by a new a publisher and is working on a new game, so RS2 wont be getting any new big updates. It'll only be getting a few bug fixes and optimization improvement.
the only issue with adding a conquest style gamemode to RS2 is that's not what the playerbase actually wanted most came from Red Orchestra 2 and are really used to playing Territories and that's all they want to play, so adding a gamemode that nobody's going to play is probably not a great idea

Game is really great kinda just start to play it, i think you should make a big update. Make a new better conquest mode heard it was some kinda ? but make it like BF, make maps like Battlefield Vietnam (2004) tanks, planes, cars,vehicles and all that. That would make this game totally awesome
Awesome that you started! The sad thing is that the half of the devteam(Anti-Matter Games) has been assigned by a new a publisher and is working on a new game, so RS2 wont be getting any new big updates. It'll only be getting a few bug fixes and optimization improvement.

the only issue with adding a conquest style gamemode to RS2 is that's not what the playerbase actually wanted
most came from Red Orchestra 2 and are really used to playing Territories and that's all they want to play, so adding a gamemode that nobody's going to play is probably not a great idea

@@DudeSweet317 because that's inefficient, and there's already a gamemode similar to conquest called supremacy which almost nobody plays

Lol. Someone finally made a game about a war that the U.S. lost? Can't be Vietnam though, i don't see any tripwires or booby traps. Colonel David Hackworth estimated that about half of the U.S.' 58,000 casualties, came as a result of booby traps.
Purchase the game & play the hell out of it, you will see some brutal death cause by booby trap from both sides.
