Well, it worked, Nora. I couldn't figure out any formula attached to Sleepless, but I fell for the movie--and still do. Thank you for it, and thanks to each of the actors who brought the script to life.
An Affair to Remember (1957) is from 20th Century-Fox and Sleepless in Seattle (1993) is from TriStar Pictures.

I love Nora Ephron movies and I have seen all of the above classics. I've even worked in the Empire State Building. However, IMO, I find the concluding scene of the SIS heavily influenced 2013 Chinese movie, Finding Mr. Right aka Beijing to Seattle, to be the most romantic of them.
That seen where the men talk about crying watching/talking about ‘the Dirty Dozen’ - is not just funny - is true. My husband will tear up at a thorough war or baseball movie & I think 🙄 “Really?!? - that touched your heart?!?”
