Well played both players. The type of friendship conversation they were having after the match is gold itself.
oh to beat the on-fire WORLD CHAMPION, in your own country, in the final, and winning that title? a wonderkid, indeed. that must've felt great. congrats, sen!
Great match by two amazing young players. Lakshya has immense talents. Hope to see more of these two great players.
Lakshya Sen knew where to place his attacks. He also knew where to return Kean Yew's impressive sharp; precise; spot-on; angle perfect shots. He was able to keep up with the Singaporean's game. Good job to Sen! 🇮🇳

Sen did very well to maintain his composure when Loh came back winning six on the bounce towards the end of the first game. Many players would have been shaken and gone on to lose the game, having believed the “momentum” had gone against them.
Sen doing better today congrats to him for the VICTORY
Winning one world tournament is 1 thing, to keep consistent winning is another thing, shows how hard it is to stay at top and how amazing legends such as lin dan, lcw, taufik etc who dominates their era.
of course, i bet L. Sen and his coach have watch and learn from LKY videos, where as LKY does not know much about LSen play style, yet
@@andrewcannon587 Thats rubbish considering they've been training together in dubai with axelsen since june.
@@LYCANCLANTEAM ok, i bet L.Sen coach wasn't in denmark for LSen training. Training with someone doesn't make you know all the strength and weakness of the other person. Doing drills to light sparing don't expose someone's style, It is the coach who can spot LKY's weakness and provide LSen just in time tips and advice for each game. If both LKY and LS know about each other game style, then neither finalist needed their coaches for the final,

That's my exact same thoughts. All 3 - LKY, Lakshya and Yang - showed so much improvements and consistency since the training in Dubai. Victor should open a permanent training center. :)

You Have to feel for LKY, just couldn't put it down today.

I Have Said Earlier , Loh game Is Not Mature yet. He Still Have A lot To Learn . He Won The World Championship Is Nothing to Shout About, He Must Be Consistent , So Far There Is Only One Player I Can See is truly Consistent He is One Of The Legend, LCW , He Won uncountable Tournament in his Career. Except world championship and Olympics. Sometimes you can just depends on skills, need luck too!
Loh earned money behind nthe scene. He's trying hard to protect himself from that sick crowd in a sick nation.

@Chaos Sword what why
@Chaos Sword don't be childish
@Chaos Sword how old are you? You're talking like a child
@Chaos Sword all of them. I have no idea what you're talking about or trying to imply.
@Chaos Sword because? I cannot congraluate other players?
I watched all the Indian Open matches of LKY. He doesn't played much like what he did at WC. Not really injecting much pace & smashes throughout the tournament and showing much hesitation when doing killer shot too. If he is idolising Momota's style of doing those lots of rally, pls pls stop it immediately! In fact, go look back at the 90s Indonesian legend Heriyanto Arbi. IMHO, Arbi's way of playing is far more similar and beneficial to him. Good luck! Don't go back to zero and change your whole playing style.
That's exactly what I thought too. This 'Slow Kean Yew' game really perplexed me. There were some parts of the game where LKY opted for drops and attacking clears instead of the typical smashes. It's really clear evidence about his state of mind.
And I just have to wonder if doing that against an opponent who has trained with him in Dubai was the wisest thing to do.
Exactly what I thought too. Was he trying to show to his potential opponents that he can play a slow game as well? Or is he using this Super 500 to test his new style of play? I love the way he played at WC… but seeing him playing at India Open have been kinda disappointing throughout.. the intensity and pace is just not there!
@@zzy341 Absolutely. I cannot help but think that this is a patient build up to the All England 2022 edition.
@@A1F9S8B6 Straits times mentioned that he took this tournament to try out new techniques he learnt. However, he has mistakes to correct, given his form is not very consistent
Glad I’m not the only one thinking the same. Something is very amiss with LKY in the whole competition-feeding high balls from midcourt, barely diving to save, off-pace at times, overpowering his smashes till it nets. Not sure what’s up with him or what’s he’s trying out this time…
Something wrong with LKY cuz LKY got some rest yesterday because brian yang walked over while laksya sen had to play rubble game with ng tze yong

It may be a long time before we see the dominance in another men's singles player that we came to expect from Lin Dan and Lee Chong Wei. It seemed maybe Momota would be the next dominant player and then very recently maybe Loh K Y but after this match I would think not.
