True! the same goes for vertical slabs, they really needed to add that
Vertical stair blocks maybe too for a smoother transition between 2 blocks diagonally opposite each other.@@MadenPlay

@@MadenPlay Even though I don't have access to the same tools in vanilla on console I'll give it my best. If you're on Bedrock too, I'd love to show you what I've built. Building every single version of the TARDIS from Doctor Who, it's a bigger on the inside time machine/spaceship. Got some maps pulled from Assassin's Creed too.

The brass doors look almost exactly like the interior doors on the Polar Express in the movie!
Wish we'd have a green door though so it would be 100% accurate, but yeah brass door does look pretty good too ;)

If we ever wanted to make a backshire with normal coaches, then change the coaches' color and give the locomotive a number plate that is not 1225, or you'll get pere Marquette 1225 with normal coaches so madenplay did 2 builds in 1

Make a dining room for the polar express or Buffet coach
The only thing I wish you could do with this is add the Polar Express words on the sides of the carriages, since they are marked for it.

Any plans for other famous trains like the flying scotsman or the orient express?
No immediate plans for those yet, But I had build a train carriages heavily inspired by VSOE, so it might be a bit awkward to actually do the VSOE 🤔

Mini hotel room? 🤔 Well I made a first class room with 4 person seats in my other train but if you're thinking full on Orient Express suite then it would be a bit more challenging for sure!

I remember I had a small dream of making a world with those highlights (even used a world painter just for it.), but you lose track of things. Maybe I might give it a second shot. But who knows. Eh someone might do it eventually.

By the way, there wouldn’t be a coupler on the end car because it would be designed for that and most likely wouldn’t have a coupler because it is designed for the end of the train.
I thought so too, but when I look closely in the movie I saw a knuckle coupler underneath the platform
so this is a bit confusing 😅

o thing i noticed in the background is the semaphors, you know you can place the signal itself at ground level and then just place the semaphor block on girders above it?
Oh I know, I did that with my own map but this isn't mine so I don't wanna mess up the signals 😅😅
Just a question is the create mod only on Java or both bedrock and Java ?
It's Java only, but from what I am aware there are addons for bedrock, developed by other modders but the features are now where near the Java's original
for the back of the seats i went red concrete powder it has a more similar color and texture to the seats

That's interesting because I used the red wool, just because I think it looks better for the back of the chair. Alternatively, I used the red sofa from Mrcrayfish's furniture mod, but I like the concrete powder too.

You could do Fallout 4's hanging Monorail train.
I haven't tried a monorail in create before so I'll think about it ;)
@@MadenPlay I hope you do it right, not like the Monorail train I made in Mercury from the "Beyond Earth" mod, it twists a lot when turning on curves. The name of the train was "The Mercurian" type-3.4

How to make Pere Marquette 1225 and Pullman cars
How do you light up the train when it's assembled?! My lights just turn off, even lanterns. :(
Do you mean the light in the train doesn't lit up at all? Because I've never had that problem before or do you mean the light doesn't interact with the world? If it's the latter then there's nothing we can do about it, that is how it is with create contraptions but what you see is probably the illusion of shader. In this case it's complementary
@@MadenPlay Yeah, I use the same shaders, but when I assemble the train it goes full dark, 0 lightning. Looks sad. :/
@@krutido96 Okay... :/ indeed. Try go in the setting, in create config and client setting and bump up the maximum contraption light volume about 2000-5000 at a time from the default value until it works, and be careful to not go too high and causes the lag

I think the design of the locomotive from the last video was extremely sick. I don't know if you plan on using other mods, or not for other peoples convenience, but I think using some furniture mods like MrCrayfish's or Mcaw's Furniture would have worked really well for the interior design of the passenger cars. Thats what I did at least.
Less for more convenience and accessibility is one of the main reason.
But the other reason is also that my pc can only handle so few mods 😅

my only complaint, the carriages are too short, and you could have used slabs as the metal bases for the cars so they look less bulky
Metal slabs would look great on the outside but not on the inside so it depends on the preference and I would love to make it 5 cars too but my laptop just can't handle it :(

@@user-ng4qn2ci3i This is a java's mod on pc, If you want the exact features I recommend you play on that. There are many tutorials out there on how to install the mod itself which I as well follows. I'm just a person who teaches how to build a train with the mod
