KaijuRizard well the creators already confirmed the existence of primal gems, rare stones that are made up of concentrated primal magic. They also confirmed that Runaans pendant was one of these gems, a so called “moon opal”. So the magic that he used for that “mystica arbora” spell came from the stone itself, not from the crafter.
Since Corvus attacked Claudia, I don't think Soren cares this was a guy he went to camp together with. Corvus stopped Claudia from using the spell to get to Callum and Ezran but he did use some show of force to do it. And if I were Soren I would have knocked him out too had it been someone hurting my sister. I always saw it as an example of Soren being a good brother.
Runaan is off finding himself, Aaravos is an overachiever, Rayla has to be the Scoobies' Elfmom, and Viren's theme song is "Blood in the water" by grandson lol
They should now like on season 5 all ready and animated are done season 3 to so it not is ready go or buy time to complete season 4 story board or anything

Lucifer was a good guy. He rebelled from a tyrannical overlord for his and the other angel's freedom. Also, the Christian god is just a crappy character. He created people for the sole purpose of kissing his ass and if you don't, eternal hellfire. He decided to drown almost all his supposed children cus he didnt like how they turned out. And dont get me started on how he sent himself to be sacrificed to himself to save us from....himself? Cus that makes sense. The bible is a book written by awful people claiming its the word of god so they could do awful things.
I always love that the show is still a mature enough show for everyone to enjoy. It was the same with Avatar, me and my mum used to watch the show on Nickelodeon back in the day, and I still very much so love the show to this day. I think that the reason I dislike so many new cartoons and shows out there is because they made such great shows of fantastic quality that were speaking about mature topics with great and 3-Dimensional characters who were flawed and really moved me and made me love them as a kid, and many shows are just the same things we have seen a thousand times without any really interesting details or maturity to them, and that is why I just can't get into them as a now adult, they lack that thing to get me invested, I can get invested in the Dragon Prince because we can see characters dealing with grief, love, betrayal, mixed loyalties, abuse, hate, compassion, friendship. I loved the way they handled Soren, because he was just like Zuko he wanted his father's approval and affection but he realised that his dad just was a bad dude and his simple minded nature (and a certain disabling incident) let him reflect about himself, about how he was doing bad things, about how it was his fault people were in danger, that his recklessness was bad, and he was humbled and changed by believing he was no longer able to lead a normal life, and we know that Viren is an abusive father and most likely was an abusive husband too, the way that Claudia clings on to him for love and family to the point she blatantly ignores the fact he is evil, because she is afraid about breaking the family and having to choose between people like when their mother left, it is sad to see Claudia like that because we know she is not inherently a bad person but rather is locked in a belief system that leads her to do bad things because she believes it is right, and Soren was the same except that he was not the prodigal son, he was the idiot, the one their father mocked for not being like him, and disregarded; Soren has a more strict sense of morality that led him to be conflicted about the idea of killing the princes, yet his simple minded approach to life allowed him to reconcile the idea of doing it if he didn't directly killed them and to him this way he would earn his father's approval and love, but he realised that it wasn't right it only took being paralysed to realize it but you know he is not the sharpest tool in the shed; but even he can start to see how much Viren doesn't care about either him or Claudia and only wants to use them as tools for his own goals, and he leaves him to go and join the only people that have treated him like family, the same princes he was before ordered to kill, Callum and Ezran were like his brothers and they treated Soren like a brother too, we know this by the fact that him and Callum often practiced together and got into mischief, and to Soren's good luck Ezran forgave him and treated him like his own person despite the fact that Soren was the one that tried to kill Ezran before, and that they welcomed him to their side with open arms, I think it also helps that Soren was never the plotting sort, he is too straight-forwards to do anything like that, on the other hand Claudia is much more deceitful and smart, so she is the type of person to trick you into doing things. That is only 1 thing in this show I really like and also the animation has gotten smoother and better, and the attention to little details of the character's facial expressions that let us clearly see their emotional state helps to convey more in an image than just what the dialogue shows.

13:05 "He's not FULLY gone." I don't have much hope for Runaan. :( Think of that ritual where Lord Vapetricks invoked those spooky shade moonshadow elves with "Ash of the Fallen" or something. It seems like he cremated the bodies of the moonshadow elves for dark magic, Runaan's included. And them talking about his "fate" makes it seem pretty final-ish. I think at best, he's about as gone as King Harrow. You know, with the bird theory ;)
Anybody else notice it took Callum a vision quest to connect to the Sky Arcanum and about a minute to cast his first moon Arcanum spell to make Rayla feel Better?
Theory time: What if the humans could do magic through hard work but discovering dark magic caused them to take a “short cut” and the elves and dragons were mad so they pushed them into the non magical lands and because of that they lost and forgot how to connect to the primal sources Callum is just rediscovering the part of themselves humans lost by not being in Xadia any more
What if dark Magic is actually that misterious force all the other magic orginates from and when you use dark magic you basically turn the primoldial beings into their pre magic form. What if humans born with natural connection to dark magic and because of that they can't use other type unless they themsleves separate it into a sub category

But the question would be how exactly he is the 1st one in history. caelum is a fun caracter but he isnt extremely knologeble, to buy the he had the rigth ingredients to forge a arcanum all along, so you had to made him abnormal to it work, ho imo detracts from him. But if is a lost art, then you got the oportunity to tell why its a lost art in the 1st place, and tie it to how humans adopted dark magic as a comon pratice, and a political drama can aways be more fun to wach.

Thushara Sajjad Tinker is an elf in the credits. The creators provided more information in him which you can dig up if you search around a bit. But he’s a moonshadow elf and Runaan’s boyfriend

Besides having a translator you should also factor in training aka soldiers have been trained to react a certain way in certain situations, plus in some cases non-verbal commands are actually preferred so as not to tip of the enemy.
