Never sell your self short David you did a great job! and you pushed through right till the end I'd be proud of your build and would put in a nice case and admire it!
I appreciate that John, I'm wrapping them in plastic and putting them in boxes. Ran out of AMT display cases ☹️
Great job on the Lumina David. The paint job with the fade looks just right to me. The stance looks good too. You have a nice collection of NASCAR builds there and I like that they all have driver figures, it adds to the realism.
Thanks Mike glad you like my NASCAR collection 👍I wish every model kit, especially cars, came with at least one figure. I have one more build to fit into this GB.
Well done David looks great thanks for joining in and the support
Thank you for hosting this GB Jeff, is your build in Primer yet??
@@davidchin350 in paint for a couple weeks now it’s been extremely hot here haven’t had any bench time for some time now
One of my favorite paint schemes….really good job David.
Thanks Terry, glad you like it. The paint scheme was challenging for me.

You nail this cool model project . Interior and decals are a success ! Bravo David .
Thanks Robert, appreciate the words. Model On.
Looks great to me David! Decals are the bane of my existence! Your probably right about the humidity causing you issues. Thanks for sharing my friend! Johnny
Thanks Johnny, appreciate you stopping by and the kind words.👍
I can identify with your comments about finishing a kit and feeling exhausted. And I think you might agree that we are usually our own severest critics. Because we see the minor spots we wish we could have done better even though most folks would never pick up. It’s a stunning car and the livery really is bold and beautiful. Thanks for sharing David! 👍👍👍
Thanks Mark, I see all the spots I could have done better since I built it ☹️
One of my favorite movies! You ROCKED it Brother David!
Thanks appreciate the comment and glad you like it. 👍
Great job David. 46 car looks awesome, but all three are so cool. Ron
Thanks Ron, glad you like my NASCAR's👍

I think you’re City Lumina came out pretty good, David 😮👍 I dig the colors and I like the fade paint work. Even with the problems, you certainly overcame them quite well 👊🏻 All the figures and accessories are cool. Keep up the great work, my friend 👏 Thanks for the channel shoutout as well 😊

Thanks Duke, glad you like them! 👍
Love these builds David! I’m going to go watch the movie now.
Great movie, enjoy!
Nice details on these NASCAR cars.. I would love to see on your channel the NASCAR ZL1 that participated to Le Mans, this year 👍😁
I have heard of the durability of the NASCAR during the LeMans. Maybe some day I will build the ZL1 but I prefer the older cars for now 🙂
I think it came out looking great, brother!! 😁✌️
Thanks Stephen 👍, glad you like it. Glad to finish and get this one off my bench.🙂
@@davidchin350 I really do, David 😁
The car came out great David! Just say the car has been raced 🏁😆 Regardless, the fade came out great, can’t wait to try your method on one of my cars!
Thanks Mike, look forward to your paint job.😊👍
Both look great. I really like the black one.
Thanks, the two I like the most from Days of Thunder, Mello Yello and City Chevrolet.🙂

Still turned out nice David👍
Thanks Paul, I appreciate it 👍
Great build!! I always loved that movie!! A few mistakes big deal car still looks great!! I used to have the tape problem 2 till I switched to Tamyia tape. I know it's a little pricey but worth it. I use testors window cement it's tacky unlike mod podge and still drys clear. Great job buddy!!
Thanks for the kind words, I guess for the amount of time and $ spent I expected more but still a good build. 🙂
Awesome David!! All are sweet builds man!
Thanks Manny, this build came with alot of frustrations due to the setbacks.☹️ Glad its done.🙂
@@davidchin350 Your welcome! I remember you saying that, looks sweet now!
Regardless what you said David it still looks pretty cool to me like the colour combo👍
Thanks Seamus, it is eye catching 😎
Looks pretty good to me david
Thanks Ruane 👍
Nice Cole Trickle model nice job, nice set of NASCAR models, the Monogram model looks like a better then the AMT models that I have, thanks for showing!
Thanks for checking it out 🙂
@Assemblyrequired749 thanks for the comment and stopping by.
How did you do the tires? Are they painted or did you use decals? Looks awesome!
Used a Jelly Roll pen 😊
How do you blend the yellow and the green together at the seam like that I'm kind of playing around and testing it out and I just have a tape line I wish I could send you a picture but it's just one color divided by another but you kind of blend it in your colors how do you do that
I sprayed the yellow first. I then lightly sprayed the green in a light mist diagonally. Then spray the green horizontally with the border you just established. Set the airbrush very light on the color since you don't want it to over accumulate and drip. I freehanded it without tape. If you feel like you need masking tape, lift the edge of the tape on the side of the color change. You ultimately want to blend or fade the color. If you leave the tape down, your going to get a sharp line border. Good luck.
where do you get the figures
Some Monogram NASCAR Lumina kits come with the figures. That donor kit and a particular release of the Dale Earnhardt Lumina includes them as well. It will say on the box top that figure and tool accessories are included.
