Who would have thought an Elantra would be one of the best sports sedans you could buy? Hyundai is killing it right now. Would love an Ioniq5 too.
They really have worked hard for this one.
@@RaitisRides just like you and your team. Keep up the great work!
Great news Andre they confirmed the Ioniq5 N for next year it's going to be a 575hp awd electric hot hatch I can't wait
I unlike the Germans, they are concentrating on engineering to improve the product and offer value.
The Germans, however, are continuing to emphasize prestige and exclusivity.
Wait for the Ioniq N next year! đ„ I agree with you
Joe, I want to thank you for content that is not only entertaining, but very educational as well. You were one of the main reasons I purchased this Elantra N, along with being an inspiration to me starting my own CZcams channel. Thank you Joe, Lori and Steve, you guys rock đȘđ»
Also just to add a couple of things about the car itself;
The light strip across the dash is customizable ambient lighting that can be adjusted on the infotainment center to pretty much any color you want.
The sunroof only comes on the DCT model in the USA.
Also I ran a 13.1 at the 1/4 mile the first time I took it to the track. This car is no joke.
Hell yeah!
Sup dude. Been watchin you. CHeers mateđ»đ»
I knew you are going to say " I can do this all day long" and it was spontaneous. That sound reminded me of all the racing games I've ever played. What a way to begin your weekend. Thank you for all the great content you keep on bringing. Love it every time.
Iâve had it for 9 months. The sound NEVER GET OLD! Itâs been a fun daily and when Iâm not playing Boy Racer, I get 32 mpgâs.
What gas does it use
â@@elboritorres7499regular gas
Just bought a white N yesterday. The dct shifts so fast. Was blown away by the power on the test drive. The NGS button is cool, really reminds me of the fast and furious nos button.
Absolutely what did you pay. I got mine two weeks ago
The awaited review...Thanks Joe and Lori
Took my Elantra N Line into the dealer for service, they had an Elantra N in this exact trim on the floor and MAN it looked great. Awesome car, great value.
These videos are very well made, both the camera and the presentation, extremely professional, informative and fun to watch.
My car got her last month same color msrp man has intense blue really grown on me itâs honestly the most underrated color itâs absolutely breath taking in person videos and pics donât do it justice
Bought an Elantra a couple months ago and probably wouldâve bought the N if they had it in stock. But even just the trim I have gets compliments from people because of the look. Canât wait to maybe get my hands on one of these one day.
Another gem of car from Hyundai!!!
I used to say that about Japanese cars during the 90s and early 2000âs
If Hyundai Vision 74 comes to fruition then the game will be over for a lots of other brands.
We will see how it pans!
Honestly seeing how badly everyone wants it and is fan Girling over it I definitely see it happening for sure
@@ArcticN People that can't afford higher priced cars. No person who can afford a better car cares about a Hyundai.
Iâve been waiting for this one for a long time! I bought my Cyber Gray Elantra N DCT at the end of June. Everything in your review was spot on 100%. It does have some stuff, like the cheap hard plastic on the interior, that reminds you youâre still in a Hyundai (there are some Korean market OEM Alcantara bits you can swap in that fixes that though) but once you put it in N mode and hit the twisties that stuff doesnât matter anymore. Even my kids love it despite being so spartan in the back. And just like you said, you donât have to spend money on an exhaust, better tires, suspension bits or better brakes because it comes stock with all those. Itâs truly the most fun Iâve had in any of my past cars. And if you want to take it easy with the family you can just put it in Normal mode or Eco and have a comfortable ride and get outstanding gas mileage. You have to give Hyundai kudos for giving you the option of a DCT or a manual. They really did their homework and made this car for the enthusiast. As always love your reviews because you donât hold any punches and give us real deal honest feedback. Thanks again Joe!
How's the road noise while you are on normal or eco? Any exhaust drone? Congrats on the sweet ride.
@@johnleewins3814 thanks! No exhaust drone at all. The exhaust is perfection. The road noise is about what you would expect for a compact sedan. Itâs not horrible but itâs definitely not luxury car quiet. Plus the Michelin P4Ss are noisy tires in general, but they handle incredible, so itâs a trade off. I will say it actually has less wind noise than my â21 Honda Accord Sport 2.0T did. That car was a disappointment.
@@n-power-automotive Iâm curious to hear what your gripes were with the Accord? I was very close to buying a manual 2019 accord 2.0 last week and I was starting to think I missed out.
@@mauriciogarcia4190 my biggest gripe was the seat comfort. Sounds weird for a Honda, but for some reason the drivers seat was so uncomfortable to me. It felt like I was sitting on a metal rail. Also, the electronics in the car were very glitchy. Apple CarPlay would stop working anytime I tried playing music while using Google Maps. And then the infotainment screen would just black out for mo reason pretty much at least once a day. It was very annoying. Another odd thing with my particular Accord was if I tried to auto start it on a really hot day it wouldnât work and when I did start the car from inside Iâd get a check engine light. It was probably due to modern Honda batteries absolutely sucking. Performance-wise it was really fun, had nice torque down low which for a owner of many different Hondas in the past was a really odd feeling, but it definitely pulled really nicely up until about 5,500 RPM then Iâd kind of hit a wall. I had the 10spd auto, which was mostly a decent transmission, but really too many gears for a smooth operation. It was pretty jerky around town and would have a huge pause to figure out which gear to go into when Iâd floor it. That wouldnât be a problem with the 6spd manual, though with the 6spd I heard the shifting was good but not great like the Civic Type R or even the Si, so you need better shifter bushings to correct that.
@@n-power-automotive awesome feedback! It sucks to hear about the cons especially being a Honda you just want it to be perfect but sadly nothing is. I was attracted by the balance of straight-line performance and âperceivedâ comfort, but surprisingly youâre not the first person to say that about the drivers seat. Thatâs one of the reasons why I like the Civic Si/Type R and Elantra Ns in that they appear to be a lot more stiff and uncomfortable than they really are and so far the seats (I havenât had the chance to drive the type R) are all very comfortable on those 3 cars. But Iâve never owned any of those so take my opinion lightlyâŠ
P.S cyber gray DCT is exactly what Iâd go for! Congrats on the car and enjoy for many years to comeđ€đœ
Iâve a 6 speed manual and I freaking love it. Awesome to drive.
Make sure you check out boomba racing for their shifting mods đ€€
i envy you, i can't afford Elantra N right now.....maybe next year....
What I love most about my manual N is that I rarely see another one. Same with the CTR. Oh, and it's the most fun I've had driving a car đ Someday I hope to drive something faster.
The review Iâve been waiting for!
Man I seen one of these in person and no videos and pic does this car justice. Itâs a really nice car!!
I tried to buy one of these. Waited 7 months after placing an order at one dealer once the books opened in December '21 and called others for months to try to get one (no, I wasn't willing to pay $6k markup). Eventually gave up because I needed a car and couldn't wait any longer and bought a GTI without markup with only a 3 week wait to get my color and spec in. I am happy with my GTI although I would love this EN.
i had the manual since 7 months love it so much and only have 5500 miles so far
Happy Friday Joe
Another great review from Raitis ride đđđ
I used to be critical of Joe but honestly this is a guy I could drink beer and talk about cars with for hours.
I was a bit iffy about the red on the splitter, but as you were explaining the vehicle and going around it, I actually really like the red accent, ads a unique style to it. And btw, you have the best in depth reviews Iâve ever came across. đ my manâs knows his stuff. đŻđ
At 12:40 , you do have the option in the settings to increase the brightness as well as customizing it to any color you want it to. But yes itâs defaulted to look like performance blue!
Every car is compared to a VW GTI because the GTI is so good.
It's the hot hatch benchmark! It may not be the best in any one area, but it does everything so well! And their hp ratings are suspiciously underreported. As quick as you could ever want, especially with the excellent DSG!
Awesome job Joe. I love the color with the red bottom lining and the design In general is a solid 8/10 maybe even a 9/10.
I like shape of rear wing..don't want all cars with same design..great vid.
Love this review! I just started to change some things on mine. Men cant wait for the summer to driver it back again!
You had me at 224 Jelly Belly Jelly beans, Joe! See you soon on other much anticipated content, including the ON THROTTLE event in the new Toyota GR hot hatch coming soon!
Another great review! I picked up my Ceramic White DCT in July and am loving it! I am waiting to hit 600 break in miles to go on throttle with her but dang, this is one hell of a car. I previously had a 2019 Alfa Romeo Quadrifoglio with the 8 speed ZF and this IMO is a better shifting machine. Not a 500 HP beast like that but just as fun. I traded in my 2022 Civic Si for the N and I like this car better only because of the extra power. I do miss the magical 6 speed transmission in the Civic and had been #1 on the list for the new Type R until my salesman called a week ago and said whatever the MSRP is, they are adding $10K to it. I withdrew my reservation and put a deposit down on another Civic Si the same day. But I still will have this Elantra N for the power and will have the Civic Si for the shifting. Your reviews of these two cars are the best! We live in the 'golden age' of affordable performance cars and with the EV wave coming we will look back in awe years from now and say remember when.. Like the muscle cars of the late '60's!
I am 14,000 miles into my ceramic white DCT and have loved every second man!
@@WilleyMedia How is it as a daily driver? I've heard it's pretty harsh even in the softest settings.
@@nlmathias123 itâs been my daily and Iâve taken it on at least 10 long drives over 8 hours and it really isnât bad. I suppose this is subjective and will depend on the person, but I have no problem with it. Itâs a performance car so itâs not going to be as soft as the run of the mill sedan, but thatâs the sacrifice you make for the incredible cornering performance by stiffening it up
Own one and very very happy with my choice! Hyundai is killing it!
I love driving it EVERY SINGLE DAY!!
Good luck finding one! Have only seen one in person in the last few months đŁ. Would love to see this trim in a forte đđ»

Great review Joe, looks like a great deal for the Money. Times are tough and so Iâll have to hang on to my 14 Fiesta ST, it has 100,100 miles on it and still runs and looks Show Room. What makes your videos the best is I know you are going to go Full Throttle as you say. The Fiesta Flash đ€đŒđșđșđș
I hear you Mike. This car looks & sounds like lots of fun; impressive. Like you, I have to hold on to my great Black 2018 Ford Fiesta ST and no complains at 44,500 miles. I am keeping it for a while.
Goddam, that thing is quick!! Awesome review, Joe!!! F'ing get it!!
Love the color combo on this example
I have a DCT!! Came from a Veloster N. I've also owned 3 Santa Cruz SEL premiums and a Limited. I love anything Hyundai, Kia, and if course Genesis!! My Elantra has a resonator delete and jb4 tuned on E30 and oh my God.... Incredible!!!! I just wanted to search for this car on CZcams and now I got this video notification đ

Those pops and crackles sound so good. Hyundai is coming into its own. It's crazy how much they have improved from the beginning to now.
Joe i have this in 6 speed and i love it. Drove friends sti so many times before and this feels just more special interior wise and in every other aspect like speed, handling, sounds, grip etc. This car just feels special.
Theres so many bells and whistles in this car that it makes the ownership experience great. Its hard to describe in a youtube comment.
I own a Beemer M3 and test drove the 2023 N and I was extremely impressed! Awesome Job Hyundai. Love it

I had 2017 Elantra sport 6 speed manual turbo and it was so fun I loved that car so much and it sounded so good with an exhaust put on it â€
That was a fun review. I had a 2016 GTI that was 220 hp and was such a nice fun car. I am looking at this N or the KIA K5 GT.
Great review Joe .. would get one if the mark-ups wasn't so high on them
I love your vids Raiti! I just got mine, intense blue 6sp manual 2 days ago. 2k over msrp. It is everything I expected and more. A message to those who are reading this and put a deposit down. I put a $1k deposit down at my local dealer and was told it would be 7-13 weeks for delivery and they agreed to sell it at MSRP. Well, 15 weeks later and when I checked for updates they said they couldn't get their hands on it. I was under the impression that I was factory ordering it but I don't think Hyundai actually does this. All my money was doing was reserving it if the dealer was actually allocated one by Hyundai. At that point, my local dealership helped me locate a dealer 80 miles away that had the car I wanted. At that point I just paid the 2K markup because my patience and putting a deposit down was not going to work for me. I'm thrilled to have the car but beware that if you put a deposit down, there might not be a guarantee you get the car. I drove the N back to the local dealer in order to get my deposit back and one of the salesman came to the street to check out my car. He was thrilled to see one in person. I'm telling you this car is like very hard to find. If you really want it, you gotta really pursue it. Good luck!
Joe you are awesome!! Love your reviews! Long time subscriber here. Thank you for all of your hard work sir!!
That means the world!
I got a ceramic white DCT EN,only been a month with it and what a badass car for the money I must say. Definitely worth it if you're debating on getting one,it's my daily driver.
Look at Hyundai doing the business all over again!!! This thing is insaaaaaane!!! Maximum respect for the review here Joe and Lori and Steven!!!
nice spec Joe I would buy one in a heartbeat
This is my favorite Hyundai Mid-size sedan.
Terrific job with your content as always Joe.
I am so glad that you enjoys these!
It's a compact sedan not mid size
if you want mid size, buy sonata n line
Love my 2021 FK8 but this looks like an absolute blast to drive!
Trust me it is!
how expensive could it possibly be to add a softer door sill? I almost always have my left elbow on the door sill & because I drive a manual my right arm is usually resting on the centre console.
That empty space on the dashboard is perfect for a suction cup phone mount
Really nice. I wonder how this compares to the last Evo?
I love it Joe and Lori and keep up the great work real true and I love the video lot real true đ and nice car
I really like the red it really gives it a sport looking.
Thanks for letting me share it with you!
These cars are actually pretty sick. They have a nice exhaust sound too. The best sounding ones in this class of cars. Boy are they hard to find. A lot of them have huge markups
You hit the nail on the head!
i got mine at sticker!! after calling 20 dealers lol and only 2 hours from me
If you are around Philly, Hyundai of Abington is selling at sticker. I bought a limited hybrid but know for a fact that they have N's that just came in

Such a sharp looking car!

Great review of a fantastic beast of a car!! I've had my Phantom Black EN since June 2022. She is my 14th car (I may or may not have a slight obsession with cars) and hands down, my favorite of them all. While the red trim is a status symbol for the EN, it's just one of my least favorite colors. I wish they would have other color options available for that part. I have since changed the red trim to teal so she's looking quite extra now and I love it. I do also wish they would have added more ambient lighting or at least added an option for it. Of course I've added more because I like to shine bright like a diamond! đ I typically don't keep a car longer than 1.5-2 years...I think the streak has been broken for now. I'm going to hold onto her and continue customizing for sure. I think the only car at this point that would sway that decision would be if/when the Ioniq 6 N comes to fruition! Anyway, I super enjoy watching all of your videos! I'm incredibly envious that you get to drive and review all these cars!! I want a job like that!! đ€Ł
So I'm assuming all your cars have all been short leases? Since you mentioned you don't keep cars longer than 2 years.
Nice love these Nâs and love my 22 Veloster N now you have to do a Kona N next.

Just picked up my Elantra N dct in cyber grey last Friday. Such a dope car!!
Also this car does not have wireless Android auto or Apple car play. Wired only
You also don't need to move the shifter to the left to use the paddles
hey joe, do you think the elantra n is faster than the sonata n line?
Isnt the deathstar round light a magnetic wireless charger?
Looks like a fun car, particularly for autocrossing. I'm giving the Elantra N much more consideration now since the GR Corolla is looking much more out of reach at this point as I can't wait till next year for a new car and still want something that is fun and practical.
I think you so are so very right Chris!

your shoes are kinda matching the colors of the car, nice :)
I think GTI would be the way to go. Just a fun little car. But the Hyundai N is looking very good! Just the interior leaves a lot to be desired.
I wish I could rip off the exhaust system and LSD of the Elantra N and slap it on my K5 GT. Sounds so good stock.
Hyundai/Kia have been absolutely killing it the past couple years. I hope these Theta III engines and DCT transmissions hold up better than the previous generations.

Joe, you can be honest with me. You take quick naps in all these cars before videoing right ? I get the feeling you probably donât sleep much lol. Youâre definitely one of the hardest working guys. Love your videos.
I bought a Veloster N DCT for msrp and am doing my first track day on Sunday. The Nâs are the best bang for the buck out there.

The blue body, the red on the rockers and the wheels make the car stand out. If it were white without the red accents and had different wheels, it'd be boring like a rental car.

Love the vids raiti! But why does everyone keep saying GTIs are too expensive, yeah... if you get it fully loaded. I got my S manual for 31.5k (and I prefer the S trim... it has Knobs!). Civic SIs were 36K (dealer markups) and no elantra Ns in site. (Watch U-DRAG video on Edmunds, GTI beat the elantra N).
*Is it possible to change the steering wheel for a sporty one?* đ€
I have to say, the best part of your reviews are your size guides. Jellybeans, swiss cake rolls, it's awesome. I want to buy one just to see how accurate your estimate is on how many swiss cake rolls fit in the door pocket.
Between this, the Corolla GR and the Dodge Hornet, there's some interesting new options since I got my last 2016 GTI.
No on the Dodge Hornet!
I love how it barked second gear.... Very nice...

As a VN owner in PB...enjoy your EN's, peeps! Hyundai N performance is here and times have changed.
I like this car a lot, i had a focus st for a while and that thing was fun and practical, this runs the same numbers
Awesome street and track machine, a well rounded vehicle! Next year I hope the add brembos and up the boost to compete against the type r....just a little fine tuning
It already had Brembos, and it already gaps the type R

@@Sinbadness i have a manual Elantra N currently, and they actually donât have brembos, which is ok because it keeps costs down and itâs already pretty strong. The DCT may narrowly beat the type R from a dig, but the type R definitely has a better engine and is a roll monster. From a roll, it even beats the focus RS according to Carwow. Still loving my Elantra N and it undoubtedly has the best sound in this class.
@@markg7213 It just pops and bangs, that doesn't mean it sounds good. It sounds decent for stock, but I don't see the hype about a Hyundai. It's mediocre as can be.
I personally love the color combo with the blue bodywork with the red trim around the bottom. It's a cool contrast. Shame that one of my friends doesn't fully understand how far Hyundai and Kia have come, especially when we're talking about those two concept cars that were shown off not too long ago. Not to mention, these N cars sound amazing unlike some of the competitors with stupid soft limiters.

I would choose a GTI over this, but this is really nice, too. I like how they incorporated the bottom red accent in the front, back, and side, it looks much better than what VW did on the new Jetta GLI. I also like the black on the back doors rather than body color that Joe preferred.
The red accents they added to the front of the new GLIâs look terrible in my opinion.
The VW infotainment is horrible
@@kenbeaver2683 itâs a love or hate thing with haptic touches but the infotainment itself is very easy to use. It works just like a phone essentially. Nothing is hard to get to and it all works well. Why would you choose GTI over Elantra N??
