- Hi guys! Thanks for tuning in! This week we're going to keep going on the 1960 Chevy Impala I bought from Tom a couple of years ago... I have a Chevy Biscayne sedan for a donor, and it is time to see if we can save the Impala by grafting it to the bottom of the solid Biscayne! I did a 1960 Plymouth Fury a few years ago, so it'll be a similar job, overall... This week we'll start installing the doors and begin the long process of fitting everything together...
Dean is back with another fabulous Summer Flip, and Myles has been shopping... It's a sweetie!
Thanks everyone who ordered a 1937 Chevy T-shirt; they're being printed now and I'll let everyone know when they are on the way!
Hope you enjoyed the 8mm clips! I am filming more on the 8mm camera and I'll include the footage as soon as I get it developed... Special thanks to Steve Dean and Niagara Film Labs in Toronto.
Thanks to everyone who subscribed to our channel here, and thanks also for all of your "likes" and comments!

some day some one will thank you for doing a good job.
I have to tell you that you remind me of my high school body shop teacher...I feel like I'm back in class because of the attention to detail. Then on the other side of the scale is Dean's Toyota flip: a battery, a Ford coil, and out the door!😆
And a shout-out to Myles buying another classic Poncho...if you need help with your addiction, Myles - you buy them, I'll take them home!
LOL!
(Going to Canada is on the bucket list; just gotta fill the bucket first, if you know what I mean 🤑)
Cheers to everyone from the "Land of Lincoln"!
@@coldwarmotors Since Dean doesn't like the idea of a two door hardtop how about a two door Roundup station wagon , the wagon wheel base is 2 inches shorter (yep he said shorter) but you could just move the wheel opening back, I'm sure Dean wouldn't mind😜
Yet another Traction Avant up for sale; this one right in my town. DEVIL! GET THEE BEHIND ME!
Props to Myles for never having his headlights on when on camera. The cars always look badass and the camera doesn't get blown out. 😎
That's a beautiful old Parisienne. Myles scores again.
With the deck lid off, the Biscala is giving Biscalamino vibes
That thought crossed my mind my mind also!
You could literally fit a full size motorcycle in that trunk! I wish they still made cars like this!
You see 👀 it too !!
One of the things I like about this channel is you don't give up until you figure out what is not right. And then you make it right! Plus you share your discovery and fix. Dan and Myles always have such great finds! Thanks so much Scott, Dean, Myles, Dan and Tom!!
Amazing that Dan is finding trim bits for his rare 63 Biscayne. The next thing you know, he will find a set of dentures for his chicken 🐔!
"I'm actually opposed to this project," is probably the first time I've ever heard Dean say anything remotely negative about a car on this channel. I'm sure he was joking. Always a positive attitude and enthusiastically supportive as are all of the other agents.
He was 100% joking. I chuckled when he said that.
He would want to fully restore both...unfortunately the CWM accountant violently disagrees.😁
@@johndenton5555 Pretty sure he'd also be happy to just stare at their rusty hulks endlessly too. 😅 I don't think there's a car he doesn't have a soft spot for.

No pills for you! Lol! The old Biscala is coming together better than the Fury! So far.
Thank you Scott, Franker's, Dean, agents and patrons for making this show possible. I've been watching for over ten years.
And I take my pills everyday! Lol.
Have a fantastic weekend everyone!
Reminds me as kid putting my. A,T. MODEL KITS. TOGETHER😮😮
It`s always subtle, but when Tom shows up and gives the stamp of approval, you know things are headed in the right direction. I, for one, love his input. He`s an old man still excited about being alive.
Me too, excellent reply could not have said it better unless someone makes a Dean pill.
🤨Aaaaaa, SOS
@@charlesangell_bulmtl Exactly, SOS.
Amen man!
its a 230 in the Pontiac, as the 250 came out in 65, the 230 can take a ton of abuse,,,, nice car.
Years ago I got caught in a safety check lane with my '63 Ford Falcon Squire woody wagon. I thought I'd make it through without any problem. Nope! The license plate light was out, and ever since that time I've kept an eye out for all lights on all cars.
With that in mind, it looked like the '60 Pontiac's license plate light's not working.
Hey, would you rather hear it from the RCMP or me ha-ha?
Thanks for another great video!
One thing I LOVE about you and all the agents...you refused to put those horrific 22" dubs on anything you work on. 14" and maybe some 15" slicks :)
AAAAAAAMEN!!!
Its fun looking at the Canadian Pontiacs compared the the American version. My uncle bought a new 1963 Bonneville back when I was seven and I remember being impressed on how effortlessly it accelerated compared to my Dad's 1962 Plymouth Savoy with the slant six. My uncle had been a tool designer in Detroit back then and always traded for a new Pontiac every two years.
Hi everyone here we go another great Saturday video my thanks to you Scott and everybody there.✌👍❤
From the depths of Strato Chief base to the peak of Parisienne heights. That original 261 engine needs to go in the reserve pile to make room for a 409 Myles.
Since I was like 5, I always built model kits and looked at various car magazines... The thing is, they always feature the flagship models! Always the coupes and high-end versions of only the most popular brands! That's in part why I love your channel; I keep discovering models I never saw in model form, books or even car shows! And thing is, those unknown cars must have been 3/4 of what was on the road back in the day!
I thought Dean was bringing us the treat, but then Myles showed up.
What an amazing find!
Hi guys, nice Pontiac Hardtop, the 6 makes it rare. If You Had a time machine, and went to the factory and watched them build your Impala, you'd be shocked until you realized that that was the story . They came out shiny new and fast. All the lines were moving at top speed, and the product came out at a standard level of finish. The new cars then had a lifespan of 100,000 miles or, 10-12 years. Today , the restorers turn out a car that's three times that good. Well Done Scott... Cheers
Two-door to four/door conversions. Dean’s seeing things others don’t 😅
Hi Scott and all...
The "tedious" work on the Biscala is where a lot of learning is. It's a shame that recording it would be such a pain for you. Lots of folks could learn a lot.
Good luck with it all. I'm sure it will turn out great. You won't stop until it is great, I expect.
Myles really has the Pontiac sickness how. ;) The Parisienne is a nice looking old gal.
Watching Dean at the end was a good laugh. He's amazing.. in so many ways. :)
Have a good week.
Went to a local car show here in Suffolk UK and founds some wonderful classic Yank iron in really lovely condition. Two Ford As included although one is a 'project'.
I was going to email some photos but can't see an address so I will Snail Male a hard copy.
To see the doors shut the way they do on the 'Biscala' is just amazing so soon after two cars were 'cut and shut'. Keep chasing those 1/8" Scott!
I love how Scott gives detailed explanations for how things fit or need to fit together to make a whole. He makes complete cars from what others would just discard. My hats off to you and all the agents, and a 60 Impala is worth saving. Now someone donate him a 348 and it will be great!!!!!!!
I was heart broke when Myles said he was going to sell the Strato-Chief but when he pulled in with the Parisienne it was like a Heavenly Choir going off in my head. Thank you for turning my frown upside down Myles Ponchofreak Lol. Cheers
my Saturday highlight time to chill
Work, is something i don't worry about, i just retired after 44 years at my company.
Having entered this world in 1960 it warms my heart to see your amazing work on 1960 iron
Amazing Scott. You are a true master of your trade. You unveil the magnificent within the mundane.
WOO HOO!!! The official start to the weekend - CWM !!! WOW!! that '63 Pontiac is N I C E!!! Great job Myles!
The GREASY FLIP TWRCEL is such a deal.
On the money with Dr. Dean, turning metal into money.
These were a turd from the start. Turdcel. Sell it if you can...
I'm happy to see the Model T hasn't been forgotten now that you have your fancy new Biscala. It took a few years, but it appears the 1970s oil crisis has finally caught up will Deans Flips... that's a shame... Cheers and all the best from the shed
That's the beauty of Dean's Greasy Flip-o-rama, any car that is a stone's throw away from the crusher gets a second chance!😆
I can't believe how you got everything to line up so beautifuly on the Biscala; the doors make quite an impressive *CHUNK* sound when they close!
Great episode. Tell Dean if he will swap the sunglasses for a pine tree air freshener I'll give him the 7.49 he wants for the Tercel ! 👊😎👍
Hi Guys...I really prefer all of the "so called boring 30 hours for an 1/8" of an inch" detailed info thanks...That is the "gold" in my opinion of what I learn from you all. Great effort & thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it! Cheers from here...
Challenging but the Biscala will be a magnificent creation, Scott!
I have split 3 cars over the years. You did the line up the same way I did. The only line you can trust is the rocker to door gap. Nice work.
That moment your brain sees the jet flying down the side of the body complete with con trail. Heavy Dean was like a crane powered by beer.
I know nothing about body work and painting cars BUT this stuff fascinates me and love to hear Scott's thought process in putting this beautiful classic car slowly together. Thoroughly enjoying this project. Keep at it Scott .... loving your work so far :)
Lovely work there guys. She deserves to live again.
..Myles....that Parisienne is beautiful....how can you pass up something like that?.....
As the proud owner of a 63 Laurentian, I heartily approve the 63 Parisienne coupe! Carry on.
I think it has been a VERY long time since any auto manufacturer has has had any stainless window (or other) trim! Wow!!! How does Myles keep pulling the rabbits out of his hat??? Another great score, Myles!!! Scott, you and all the agents continue to amaze me with all the talent, experience, and camaraderie that you have!
Long live the Pontiac Turbo Firefly! Long live the Impayne! May you never feel pain while driving your Impayne
Myles! Dude! Your new ride is amazing.
This particular build is so inspirational. Not that I have any intention of doing something like this, but watching what you do, and how you plan it out, inspires me to confidence for much smaller projects. THANK YOU. It is an inspiration and fun to watch how it's done.
Thumbs up for the Myles Pontiac. As another Mopar guy - I really appreciate that purchase.
Great buy! Myles! So glad it's not red! Beautiful car!
Fascinating work! You have an uncanny vision for seeing how things go together. Tom seems so happy too.
Great show again this week. Nice to see Dean's Greasy Flips again (although good luck selling the Tercel). I LOVE Myles' new Pontiac and look forward to seeing more of it. The Impala's getting there. Love seeing it.
Huge progress, and huge improvement. Its going pretty fast, and going to be an excellent car.
Brilliant attention to detail. This is great 👍 stuff.
Great video! I love the splice detective work!
Thanks!
Wow! Hey thanks so much! Very kind of you to contribute so generously, yet again, to the projects here... Cheers from me and Miss Frankers and all of the Agents who make it possible every week...
Hey Scott , the model T really flies down the road now. The Biscala is starting to come together, slowly but surely.
Another great video, can't wait till the day comes that the 60 Impala gets a new paint job...
Great progress on the Impala, Scott! NICE Parisienne, Myles!
Scott, you are blessed with patience, the mark of a true craftsman.
Great progress on the 60 ! Nice Poncho Myles ! 👍Deans Greasy Flips !
Frankers !!!!!
Deans Greasy Flips
Flip Town Action !!!
*Critical note * X Frame needs strength along rocker etc
on the 2 door hardtops to prevent X frame body twist
Seen a few Impalas with cracks in quarter below where
roofline behind B pillar .... you there now make it strong .
1960 Pontiac looking nice Myles
WOW !!!!!!! Myles , Wicked 63 Pontiac !!!!!

Laura Rover !!!!
Jims Lincoln too
Fairlane Shake Down ...
Jammin with the crew !
Thank You for the Video
I appreciate you explaining all the fiddling.
You call it tedious bullshit, I call it fascinating educational content! I completely enjoyed watching the splice, but I'm learning tons watching you make this car fit perfectly, and also ruining whatever tolerance I had left after 14 years of watching this channel for poorly fitted body panels 😆
Fascinating stuff as always, I was reading a book about Tasca Ford recently and it mentioned that they used to offer a service on new cars supplied whereby they'd refit everything to correct sloppy production line panel gaps, same process as your sterling efforts with the Biscala but without the rust !!!
Dean's car collection makes me feel better about mine and I'm a card carrying sad bastard too!
Summer splice is a big highlight. Great work there.
Tom hit a tree and wasn't even driving? Amazing splice progress. Tightening the straps to show how much the body moves was a great way to convey the process.
Scott, thanks for doin what you do for us.
Now we're talking! Great job Scott. I can't wait to see what's next.
Dean parking the Tercel like it was a Grand Marquis! LOL 😆.
Hi Hunny Bunny!
Love me some Frankers, what a dog!
Nice one! I've been looking forward to this. All the best from England
Highly important work, the details always matter, don't worry man if there's not a lot of car TV sparks and "not gonna be ready in time for SEMA" BS, you perform, and show the true craftsmanship that it takes to save something so cool yet so completely fucked. Thanks as always for the show, we'll all be here to hang out with you guys, cheers man!
Scott always stay humble and kind.
I shouldn't be surprised how quickly the Impayne/biscale is coming along but nonetheless I am, great detective work Scott!
Myles congrats 👏 on the new baby!
Thanks to Scott, & all the agents, the fans too, for making Saturdays awesome!!!
"I don't think there's a pill for you" made me lose it laughing. Then the final cut of Dean stumbling in the trees getting out of a friggin running 1981 Tercel. You cant make this shit up, lol. Nice job getting the Biscala sorted out. See you next week! Cheers!
I always wondered how the "X" type frame cars were able to support their bodies in the rocker area. Apparently they just don't! 😂 The solid shell on the Biscayne was an absolute must to be able to save the Impala. Amazing to see the doors clicking shut like a Swiss watch again.
That's a really nice car, Myles!
We appreciate the hours of work You put into each episode of these Same Old Shit Studios productions. Discovering those moments of enlightenment like the sagging floor pan seem to make the project bearable. Thank You Scott.
Best Wishes to everyone at Cold War Motors, their Families and Friends.
"Same old Shit" yes, but I enjoy every minute of it!!! Thumbs up to " Supernaturally positive" Dean ( a wonderful chap and Myles for sharing his latest finds. Love the Buick resto and the drive around beautiful Canada. Thanks so much!
Love this project Scott, the humble skills required to make this look easy are so impressive👍
GREAT SHOW!
The time on total alignment makes perfect sense. This quality baseline justifies & enables the entire build-out. As Scott explained.
Great catch on the sagging rockers ( sills ) and a great video. Got home today and came straight here😎👍😁
I like the "CLICK CLICK" latching sound of a well hung door. Nice work.
Enjoyed it...
Fantastic new Pontiac addition from Myles..
Cheers Phil! Glad you enjoyed it...
Outstanding work aligning the doors !! Your Foreman is one tough cookie 😂. Myle’s ‘63 Parisienne is just in incredible shape !! Great Buy !!! Looking forward to the next episode ! Cheers 🍻
Body by Scott Fischer!
Scott you are a genius being able to put that car together like that there's hardly nobody that could be able to do that
When we got married, my wife had a Plymouth Champ-it was a Mitsubishi import sold through Chrysler dealers-we ran the wheels off that car-very similar to Dean's flip-same color too! Good progress on the splice-and a trip in the T! Awesome-Cheers!
Myles, Myles, Myles... We could have an Intervention but I approve of your addiction!😎
Highly interesting stuff! No need to worry about not much excitement, your struggle to line up the car perfectly shown. Keep up the good work!
I love the Parisienne line, in particular the '67 Fastback. Since you've installed Cragars and Keystones, I vote either chrome steel or slots! :) Myles, you have the fucking coolest cars!
Scott, every video is an instructive video and we learn the value of perseverance if nothing else! Keep at it, it'll happen and happen right. The tedious is still necessary and part of the learning curve with any project. And always looking forward to the next week and whatever you will be working on!

I haven't seen a Toyota Tercel for years. One my friends bought one new in the 80's. IT was an ok economy car. It didn't do anything special, but it was a daily driver.
I owned a 2002 Toyota Echo from new through 2009. Like your friend's Tercel it was an OK car all around. I sold it when it hit 171,000 miles. The new owner got it up to 286,000 miles. It would have gone even further if a distracted driver hadn't broadsided it.
Oh well!
Washed down a many natty lights in an 83 tercel, back in the 80s and 90s when it still snowed in oklahoma we were the only vagabonds on the gravel roads.
Another awesome job on the show! I really appreciate the fact that your attention to detail shines through. That 1/8 of an inch will tell the entire story when the project is complete and shining better than new. Wishing you and the menace and all the agents a great week. Myles really scored on that Pontiac! It is a sickness:)
Impressive work on the Biscala, getting those doors to click shut like that was so satisfying. I know its going to be a lot if work going forward, but I'm sure we're all going to be interested in the way it takes shape. Great new Pontiac purchase from Myles, looks like a good one. Nice to see the old Model T out too! Cheers again Scott.
Man !!! Great show !!!! Fantastic work on the splice !!!
favorite quote " Giving yourself the illusion ypur not wasting your life "
I was just talking about my 81 Tercel SR5 two days ago, great little car. Developed a catastrophic oil leak, such a tragic end to my pot smoke soaked interior'd little beast. 😂
Myles, once again you have outdone yourself.
Looking forward to following the Biscala restoration 1 screw at a time. Good work people!
Sucess! Can't wait for some more body panel weld-ins
I saw the finished Fury. But did not watch that build. But going to watch this with every video. Looking forward to my 37 Chevy shirt. Proud of you and your crew. Thanks for sharing. ✝️💯👊👍
I will watch anything you show. Looking forward to seeing more impala work. I'll be watching for my 37 Chev shirt. ❤️😎✌️👍 cheers.
Great Show!!! Love the Pontiac, both of them. Many Thanks for the Know how Transfer, always learn something from ya. The yucks are good to. see ya next time
