- Hi guys! A busy and exciting week here... We take a road trip to go check out a 1960 Chevy Biscayne 4 door... If it is good enough, we'll use it to splice the 1960 Impala that I bought from Tom a few years ago! Dean stops in with a nice pair of chrome reverse wheels and we are hard at work on Laura's Rover 3 litre, getting the fenders ready for painting...
Calendars are sold out; thanks so much to everyone who ordered one... they are all shipped now, so watch the mail!

Had 62 station wagon 283 power slide power steering miss it😢😢😢
The Firestone radio maybe aftermarket. The Impala radio looks like the one in my 60 Impala. The other 60 I have is actually a Bel Air. It's radio looks pretty much like the one in the Impala. Both cars I have are four doors. The Impala is a flat top 🎩 hardtop. It may have $80,000 mi. Got it off the original owners when they passed away and nobody wanted it back in the mid 80s. I think the Bel Air has been in the family since the late 70s. It's a rolling rust. I'm just sharing information that's all. Everything is for sale. I like the valence panels underneath your bumper. I see a bunch of 1950 cars in the background when you pan through the yard. I've got a 1950 olds two-door futuramic post and I just need some odds and in trim parts inside and out. She is not original but I like her. Maybe if you have anything you're willing to turn loose of. Bartering is always fun cash is okay and I'm down here in the middle of the United States. I enjoy your episodes.
Scott, is that Andy dressed as Wez from The Road Warrior. If you haven't seen Shrimp On the Barbie with Cheech from Cheech & Chong, check it out. Wez ( Vernon Wells ) plays a great role, and Bruce Spence the Gyrocopter pilot from Road Warrior has a role too. Cheers buddy 🍻
Love the Band !! Rock On !! Cars are nice too !
" You feel like you're a fly in the dump ??" . Best one I heard in ages !
FANTASTIC musical opening!!! One of your best!
Glad you liked it!
Thanks for again allowing us to just hang out and be one of the guys. I never really care what you're up to, it's all a good time on a Saturday afternoon. Cheers from here...
It would be great to see Tom drive that Impala when it’s done.
I’d say that was the thought years ago when it was sold
Tom and Laura should drag race, Tom in the Impala and Laura in her Rover
Can't wait to see Dean's 2 door wagon!
Scott’s insulated flannel shirt resembles many of the car’s interiors the agents work on. It’s just missing a random spring. Love it!
Definitely looking forward to another episode of will it splice
Me too
The splice is wright
Really pleased to see that Tom's Impala might be up for a splice next year. I remember when he got it and seemed to be enthusiastic about it.
👍👌👏 At 33.30 min trying to get Frankers out of the way. Your "Oh come on" made me chuckle. 😁😁😁
It's like Déjà vu all over again.
Two door, with almost all it's trim complete, buried up to it's axles, saved by a four door, and a splice.
Well since the band returned they've been on top form, great intro. Only on CWM can you present us with segments of two guys, chatting and sanding the inside of wings from a 1960s British car, and expect to entertain us. But entertaining it is and I for one loved watching and listening in. Lovely plans for future builds especially "Toms" Impala. Love the Buick hope it gets some TLC. The episodes keep coming and life is better for it. Thanks Scott and all the Agents, esp Frankers
best part of my Saturday
Honestly, im so glad that i found this channel a very long time ago, its just the greatest content ever for an old car lover like me! Thank you so much guys! 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Hey thanks so much for the kind words and for watching for so long now...Cheers!
I agree 100% with You on that statement. The content that CWM puts out every week is the best car related content an old fart like Me has ever seen. Scott has so much knowledge and hand's on experience it sometimes baffles Me. 😁👌
No pain, no Biscayne!
So pleased Toms 60 Impala is on the list! Looking forward to its restoration. If it is anything like your 60 Fury… we’re in for a real treat. Awesome!
I appreciate the way you described the economics and cost benefit of getting the 1960 Biscayne over aftermarket sheet metal. These kinds of experience you pass on are helpful. Two thumbs on a great show as usual.
You need to do Tom’s car ASAP because of his advanced years you never know, it would be the best thing to do for a neighbor who is always ther to plow your snow and lend a hand moving cars. Plus his sunny disposition .
I’ve often suspected Tom may have been in the Canadian Navy; he has the appropriate vocabulary, lack of tolerance for fools, and sense of humor.
@@DavidFischer-mj2sv Yep.
I can absolutely see this Impala/Biscayne project as the next spliced 1960 Fury two door hardtop that we all love and adored watching the build on the CWM channel. Let's do it!
Scott, I cannot wait for you guys to start on the 60's Chev splice. My Dad had a green 60 Impala. It was the first car that I have a memory of.
4:45 - I love the smile on his face after he says, "This is exactly what [he] wanted to do tonight." Scott: "Nice!" 😅
Congrats on finding that 60 Biscayne donor. I also sort of hope that some of the good stuff from the 60 Biscayne makes its way over to the 59 Biscayne. I look forward to seeing Dean's 59 Ford 2 door wagon. And wow, another splice project is coming - nice.
Scott,if you're a good boy, maybe Santa will take pity on you and whoever you Shanghai for comealong duty and bring you a 12 ton winch for Xmas! Congrats on finding that Biscayne.
Great score on the chevy, would love to see the buick fixed up
Coming soon!
The 60 impala will be a really great restoration, always fun to watch you redoing another old car. Thanks.
Scott, I'm glad you found that donor Biscayne to start on Tom's Impala restoration. How cool will that be. PS. Don't forget about the Buick 😊😊😊😊
I enjoyed this episode, but watching you Scott sanding and playing with Frankers at the same time is relatable to me. Thats part of loving your animal.
Cheers!
Eddie and the Hot Rods and a Rover - its all gone English this week 👍😎👍
My calendar arrived last week here in England Scott, it's a quality product with quality photography. 😉
Thanks so much, Chris; glad you like it!
Frankers is the real rock star!
I would love to see you save Tom's Impala. He was so proud of it when he bought it and got it running and it was disappointing to what kind of condition it turned out to be in. I'm sure he would be ecstatic to see it saved. He deserves it!
Who is tom? Did he not take good care of it?
Would like to see Tom drive it after the splice.
@@jockoharpo2622 How can you watch this channel and not know who Tom is?
@@upscaleshack yeah I know that Tom. Thought you were referring to another tom. I haven't seen the episode with his impala. If you can link it to me. Would be much appreciated. I'm a coldwarmotors addict. Tom's awesome!
There's that roadster that was being built for Tom as well......chop chop!! Lol
Give Dean a tambourine and put him in the band ………. He could be the “hipe man” like Flava Flave !
Great find on the '60! it brought back memories of me driving one! It was White with a nice Red interior. Boy was it a peppy car! Lots of vision space also. Accelerate too hard and chirp the tires!! Thanks for letting us see the Donor-that is a Great save!! Cannot wait to see it happen!! Myles and Ashley REALLY helped on the inside of the Rover fenders-REALLY Grunt work!! Yes, your new lot is GREAT!! But you still need the '57 Plymouth done also! ;
So looking forward to seeing the '60 slowly come to life! That's a beautiful car, especially in turquoise and ivory.
Yes, and I hope that Scott paints the roof to match the quarter panel flash.
I've been dying to see work on the '59 or '60 Chevs that I've been seeing sitting around on every episode for a few years!
I also can't wait to see Dean's 2-door '59 Ford wagon - hoping it's something he can keep to go with his Edsel.
And all the extra parts will go to DGFs! he deserves it for the tire donation. See you next week!
I'm so happy you are going to fix the 60 soon .dad had one growing up.cant wait
ALL RIGHT, the band is back. Its about time,I like EVERYTHING cold war motors produces.Same ole shit rules.👍👍👏👏👀👀
I really enjoyed this episode! Opening with the musical score was entertaining. But I really enjoyed observing the 1960 Biscayne you bought. When I was a kid my Dad had a turquoise Biscayne (6 cylinder; three on the tree). He drove our entire family to Newfoundland in that car. I remember I always loved the dash, thought it looked as you were drivng a spaceship! But I don't beleive my excitement was greater than Frankers. Glad, too, to learn Laura's Rover is coming together. And thank you again for the prompt delivery of the calendar. Cheers!
Thanks so much for ordering one, Ron; glad you like it!
Congrats on finding that great Biscayne. Seems like Toms car is now on the to do list. The Calendar is in, and wow it is a piece of art! Love it to bits. Definetly worth it. Thanks guys!!
Thanks so much; glad you like it! I am very happy with how it turned out... Cheers!
I remember as a little kid when my grandmother traded in her 1953 DeSoto Powermaster for a new 1960 Chevy Belair sedan. She went from a flathead 6 and a Fluid drive to a 283 and a Powerglide. The Chevy must have seemed like a hotrod in comparison. It was white on the exterior with a copper tone colored interior. No power steering or power brakes and no radio. She traded the Chevy in eight years later for a 1968 Dodge Dart with the leaning tower of power. That was the last car she owned and drove.
Sounds like she was mostly a Mopar person...wonder if the selection of the 1960 Chevy had anything to do with early '60's Mopar styling?....
Sweet scayne!!!!
Great donor car by far...
Will do the 2 door impala justice for stability..
Well done 👏
BTW where's deans Oldsmobile????
Did it decompose into a honda???
Cheers to all🎉
Love watching the prep on the fenders of Laura's rover, now in great shape. That Biscayne was a sweet find,so looking forward to the splice on that one.Great Saturday night entertainment as always. My thanks to the agents and everyone who puts this together on our behalf! Best wishes from the UK 🇬🇧
So awesome knowing there is another splice in our future! If the Fury is any indication then this should be a lot of fun.
Received our Calendar and have framed my favourites for the shop. The Model T and Frazer are my top 2 the 60 Fury for the backstory the 37 Chev cause I like those cars and yours is just right. Cheers 🇨🇦
Thanks so much, James; glad you like it! All the very best from here...
No pain, no Biscayne.
That's a great parts car, great score! Can't wait until you start this project up.
I would love to see Tom to for a ride in The Splice Part 2! Looking forward to the voice over review as well. Cheers to everyone and hi Frankers!
well, as the owner of a 60 belair 4 door, I can't wait to see this splice.
Reallly have to say A Job WELL DONE! to Justin for that sweet driveway/parking lot work this summer. Also, if Ash is at Sema next year I’d love to meet him and buy him a real dinner!! Great episode again this week! Cheers!
The ‘60 Chev is a surprise - a summer splicey - splice would be good! There is something strangely satisfying about slathering up unseen surfaces, isn’t there? Cheers and all the best to you, frankers and the Agents…see you next week!
Nice parts car . 👍to Dean for finding a excellent set of chrome reverse wheels. Looking forward to next week's show. Cheers Scott ✌️👍❤🇺🇲
You guys rock
Cracking find that Chevy looking forward to seeing the impala’s rebuild next year all the best….
It's been a "crap" week, I seldom drink, but I've got a 'friend' named "Yukon Jack" seated next to me, and we've logged in to your video less than four minutes after it's publication. Ooh, this'll get interesting!, I damn near ordered pizza delivery, but with my luck, it would be crap that's left over from SEMA.....
No one has or will make better cars than we see here and they look so fine!!
Thank you, great fun episode! Steady progress on the Rover parts, appreciate the detailed look on the classic fabrication and conservation process. Many thanks to all involved.
I was born in 1949, so I remember these cars when they were new. The amount of effort you put in is amazing. I think your a little bit crazy, but thats ok, I'm just as bad. Excellent content.
It’s a sickness sometimes of the “sad bastard” variety
Dean felt bad for selling me the Keystones. Can’t lie I was hoping to buy those chrome reverse too lol
Those would look good on Miles’ Pontiac.
So cool that the Impala will be getting seen to. They really are special cars.
That donor is fantastic. Ridiculously solid car.
That’s it! The chromies on Mile’s poncho!
Woot! Looking forward to the next splice-a-thon, whenever it may happen. The radio in the Biscayne is universal. You could get them from companies like Firestone, Motorola and Automatic Radio. They would offer several models to choose form, and when you buy it you inform them what car you have, so they give you the appropriate faceplate.
Another great find to watch fantastic splice work excellent!!! More great tv for us viewers. Thanks again…
Car splice! My favorite kind of videos! Looking forward.
Cheers CWM!
Looking forward to seeing the splice!!! And the other projects, too! Cheers!
Those Chrome Mag wheels Dean brought you would look awesome on Mile's 66 Fury!
As usual...another fun show. I bet Laura is getting excited to have her rover done soon. Thx again guys😊🍺
😍 Cheers from Austin, TX. So glad to see the '60 Impala get a donor car and a second chance at life. Years ago I owned two almost identical '60 Impalas and absolutely loved having them. I have been hoping to see yours resurrected a' la the '60 Fury. Should make for many interesting videos to come.
Calendar arrived this week. It's an heirloom quality piece. The pictures and subjects are excellent. Next year I expect to see a red 66 Fury, a green rover, a silver citroen, and 9 more to be announced
Thanks so much for ordering one; glad you like it!
When I was in high school I had a medium puke green '60 Belair sedan with a white top. It had a factory radio (no push buttons but with a rear antenna) and Powerglide but that was about it. Very rusty even in the late '70s, no floor on the rear passenger side.
Thanks to everyone at Cold War Motors that makes these videos possible. Very much looking forward to Laura's One Word Review on the Chevy. Best Wishes.
My calendars arrived on Friday. Very nice, Scott, you the the photographer did a really good job. They are as nice as any calendar that I had purchased before. The weight of the paper is far superior on your calendar.
Thanks so much; glad you like it! I am very happy with them... Cheers!
Great video with the music, inside out painting of fenders and shopping for a new car! Got the calendar! Can't wait for the new year! 🎉🎉🎉🎉😂
Thanks so much; glad you like it! Cheers in 2024!
🇺🇸👍 another good video! You do keep yourself very busy your booked for years and years even if didn’t take on any more side projects.👍🍺🚬🍻🚬🚬💤
Man you are a genius doing that with that fender I would have never thought of that
While I would have preferred the 59 Buick to be next in the queue, the 60 Impala is a very close second. This Biscayne is a perfect donor.
Chrome reverse steelies! I have to say those would be so cool on your yellow Fury!
Coldwarmotors, a chance for me to be part of a gang of dudes who geek out about cars like I do! I cannot wait to see the Impala get spliced. Keep it up, give Frankers some pets.
Yay! Laura voice over! 😃
The calendar is great. You guys knocked it out of the park.
Thanks so much; glad you like it! Cheers from here...
Awesome. Love all the progress. 😊
Also, those chrome reverse rims would look sweet on your T/A
The donor Biscayne looks like the perfect car or what Scott's planning. But summer weather sounds right. I still have an image of him carrying that entire Plymouth top shell on his back outside in the freezing rain.
I've driven cars that look a lot rougher than the donor😆😆.will be fun to see the project get started
Hi Scott, It's great that you found the car. I'm sure Tom will love the Impala when it is completed.I would like to shout out to every Canadian who have served in the armed forces this past Remembrance Day. To everybody and you Scott take care and be safe. Cheers!
It's funny hearing how the food vender prices were so high at the Sema show. 10 years ago before I retired from Caterpillar Tractor I would go to the trade shows in Chicago and be shocked by how much the food venders charged then. A soda and a slice of pizza was $25.00 then because they have you by the short hairs. Of course since it was company business I just put it on the corporate card.
This episode just flew by. I could not believe that an hour had past. Awesome calendar Scott! Now you’ve spoiled us. The quality is unbelievable. I was wondering about another Dean’s Greasy Flips. Can’t wait. 👍
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks so much for ordering a calendar; very kind of you to support the show here!
I hope you get to the 60 Chev as the impala had a lot of class. I always wanted one back in the day. Good score on the parts car.
the gravel in your car yard sure is sweet to have.
I am stoked about this build and absolutely in favor of moving this up towards the front of the line!! Impalas of that genre are beautifully engineered. There is a boat load of work to do but I know you and your team will do it justice... I'll be dreaming of the finished product... can't wait..and as always thanks for the videos Scott...great score.
Hi Scott Dean and the ageants!! Great score on the '60 biscane!! Ill be looking forward to the splice!! The '60 Impala is a beautiful classic Chevy!
Looking forward to seeing you start work on the SM. If UpnDown gets to work on his as well, that would be an amusing series of vids from opposite sides of the Atlantic.
Scott I really love that you save the coupes, yeah, some sedans have beautiful lines that the longer body allows, but, the coupes man, they had to say the same thing in a shorter distinct body. And they had a similar yet separate language, power, speed, comfort. All reflected in shape. Anyhow, look forward to the upcoming projects man, I'll be here! Cheers man!
(Y'all's band kicks ass BTW, think y'all would cover Joan Jett's *Bad Reputation"? I bet it'd be killer. Adios!
Got my calendar. You definitely pulled out all the stops for it! I'll probably enjoy it beyond 2024 😊
Thanks so much; glad you like it!
I love that Frankers just has the run of the whole place. What a great life she has.
Keeping that engine in the back for winter traction!
Thanks for another show! Love Frankers playing and looking forward to the 60 Chev splice.
Franklers getting her video time ...Priceless !!!!
Ashley building a Rally Datsun
Gathering goodies to save treasures .... very cool save is the 60 Impala
SM and 59 Buick coming soon
My Calendar is here , I looked at it and put it back in the bubble wrap and package
Awesome photos in there ....
Thank you for the videos
Keep 'em coming !!!
Thanks so much, Darren; glad you like it! We'll keep at it if anyone wants to watch!
Scott, loved the Thursday very rare 56 Hemi walkaround! First 12 volt year for MOPAR etc. Laura's Rover takes another step with rust abatement cleaning and coating While coatless and contrite Dean delivers the wide chromies w/classic tires! Then Frankers plays prevent defense whilst you're trying to do a Biscayne reveal. That 60 Impala brings back memories: with my friend Read at the helm of his brand new white with red interior 59 Impala we lined up on the northbound freeway out of Baltimore with a 56 Olds for a rolling drag, the Olds smoked us off the line but at 85 MPH we walked on by up to 115! The Olds disappeared in the rearview as we entered the sweepers that felt like hairpins! We were leaning into the curves as if we on a motorcycle! Gotta love the gull-wings! Nice to see Myles chipping in on the Rover resto! That Buick with wide whites is sure a fine rig! Myles and his Dad helped roll her in so CWMs is obviously a family affair! Great week once again! Cheers to all!
Looking forward to the 60 Chevy build. One of my first cars was a 60 Biscayne 4 door sedan. Just got my calendar and it's great !
Right on... Thanks so much; glad you like it!
I remember when I first saw the '60 Chev come out in th fall of '59. Absolutely fell in love with it.Along with my kindergarten teacher from England. A very cute and lovely brunettel. Can't wait til next summer for a grea reason. Thank you gentlemen for my box with a calendar in it. I will wait a few more weeks before I open it. In a perfect world, there would be nothing but cars from the '20s up to the '70s. Thank you for another great episode. Cheers!
Right on! Thanks for ordering one... All the best from me and Frankers in 2024!
Always happy to start my sunday morning with cwm. So much fun packed into 1 hour. That chevy was a really good score. Cheers from Australia !
Thank you Scott, this was a great video. Who was the young lady in todays video? I was so happy that you found that donor car , that 1960 two door is a rare piece it will certainly make for interesting videos. Years ago there was a beautiful black 1960 two door ,with a 348 four speed and triple carbs it was beautiful .
Scott. You are right on with your economic analysis. They caused the problems they’re trying to solve, except they don’t really want to fix it.
