Sailing Through Glacier Bay! Seabourn Cruise to Alaska

- Glacier Bay is a highlight of any Alaska cruise that is able to come here, and today was no different! Getting to spend so much time in stillness at the face of the glaciers is just awe-inspiring! We visited Lamplugh, Reid and Margerie Glaciers, saw sea otters and sea lions, and enjoyed all of the amazing scenery.
What a wonderful day in this truly amazing location!

I loved and attended all the talks when we cruised to Alaska
Pretty sure we were on the same cruise with you that week, and enjoyed it just as much! We stayed on board for a second week in order to return to Vancouver, and when Odyssey visited Glacier Bay again we lucked out with sunshine. Beautiful in both kinds of weather. Glad you enjoyed Seabourn!
The nice thing about a balcony room is you can spend some time in your own room and listen to rangers from the tv while doing some viewing.

I agree binoculars are a must! Actually they’re a good idea for any vacation where you’re going to be viewing geographic, landscape and wildlife. When you were showing the original position of the glaciers on the map it reminded me of how much the glaciers have retreated on Mt. Rainier, and a few have sadly disappeared completely. I live in Washington State near Seattle so I visit Rainier multiple times every year. I actually lived in Fairbanks for a couple of years in the early seventies. Marjorie Glacier is truly awe inspiring! I love, love, love Sherri’s black, pink and white dress! You mentioned in your outro that the ship was rocking a bit, which reminded me that last night the curtains were swaying a bit and you weren’t sure if that would result in a good night’s sleep or not…did you sleep well?
Adam could have done his own king of the world scene at the whirlpool deck. I had no idea the Legg family spoke whale 🐳😎👍

We just completed our Alaska cruise the 18th and didn’t see any calving. I had hoped to witness it through your video. We were on Discovery Princess and had a fantastic time but our naturalist said the humpbacks were still migrating from Hawaii and we only saw 1 tail. 😢

Thank you for posting about your Glacier Bay experience and the background info on the glaciers in the bay. I loved the close ups of the glaciers in Glacier Bay! By the way, what kind of vlogging camera do you have? We will be cruising Glacier Bay in August on the Grand and are looking for a camera. This will be our first cruise.
I was so sad on my Alaska cruise we couldn’t do Glacier Bay because there wasn’t a clear/safe path for our cruise to get through! It would have been perfect cuz it didn’t rain once on our cruise and was sunny and 60 degrees + all week
