This helped me with my fentanyl addiction. I substituted with another weaker opiod only for a few days so i could manage withdrawal while the fentanyl left my body. Amazing tapering is the way

      Agree dude.
Even when I’ve had a bender on opioids like Oxy or codeine for a month, I taper down over a few days or a week, while also going to the gym, showering few times a day, focusing on work, etc.
Just allows you to get back on track without the pain.
Anyone wanting to come off pills, my experience was going from reducing the number of pills you’re taking daily, then eventually I was just taking a half at a time, then off completely. Best way to do it imo.

I was doing like 20mg Oxy a day for about 2 weeks and tried to taper off with just 60mg codeine the following day and I felt shit for like 3 days. Won’t make that mistake again.

"comfortable" YA RIGHT!!! try Tylenol and ibuprofen instead. With opioids you eventually have to "pay the piper"

Honestly if you are diligent and take your time with the taper, you can avoid any major suffering. I've done it before and am going to have to do it again unfortunately. The hardest part is sticking to the taper and not increasing your dose after you get down to a low dose because you know your tolerance is low again and you can get a good buzz.

I’m on my second day of tapering. Been using percs for months for my sore throat. I was doing like 20-30 percs a day. Now I’m down to 10-15 a day. So half on my second day. Still really feeling the withdrawal symptoms

@@natebrandon4461 right on. Yea, rt now I'm on IV morphine in the hospital and have was using pills as proscribed for a few years now but I am tired of this damn leash. My goal is to reduce and not have to take multiple times a day but when I have a bad day or a few bad hours, rather, then have a strong dose in my "toolbox."
      I get 10 mg/iv per hour baseline
      3mg/iv bolis every 100 minutes
I'm going to try to drop 1 mg/iv hourly every few days. Right now it is not noticeable but I'm sure as I get lower and lower it will be noticeable.
What was your experience like time wise? Did you use suboxone?
I can go home with the pca or with pills but it is time I stop being a slave to this stuff. Thank you for your comments.
