    You are by far the best teacher online. So clear, and pleasant to listen to at a perfect pace and easy to see what you're doing. You are my go-to for all tutorials. Thank you so much.

    How would i make the back for a pillow. This was such an easy pattern. And so pretty.

    • @SecretYarnery
      @SecretYarnery  Před 5 lety

      Hi, kathy w!! You just make a plain crochet piece - square or rectangle, etc. Granny squares work well for square shapes, and half double crochet for rectangles. :) xx

    I'm making this for my mother in law and it looks beautiful, but the whole blanket seems to be slanted in one direction. I don't appear to losing or gaining any stitches as it works out as it should each row. Any idea why this is happening?

    • @SecretYarnery
      @SecretYarnery  Před 7 lety

      Hi Janet! What a lovely gift!! Two things you can do:
      1) Block your work when you are finished, and/or give it a tug as you go along.
      2) at the beginning of your base color rows, do your regular chain 1, and then skip the first stitch. make your first single crochet into the second stitch, and all along your work. Then at the end of the row, make your last single crochet into the knot part (sort of creating a place for a stitch).
      I prefer to pull at it a bit, because it is easier for me to keep my stitch count.
      Please let me know if this helps! I'd love to see your blanket.
      Christa. xx!

      The Secret Yarnery
      Thank you Christa. I'm going to try pulling at it and then blocking it once it's complete.

    • @SecretYarnery
      @SecretYarnery  Před 7 lety

      The other thing you can try... is to not chain 1 when you turn your work. Just make a little bit of a larger loop on your hook, and go straight into your first single crochet. ;)
