Great tutorial. Only to bad that I saw a lot of the backside of your head instead of the workpiece… but never the less good tutorial.

Sorry for the head shots. Hope you were able to see the basics of what I was doing.

Will do! This is a long term project so you won't see it finished until next year but I will show my progress.

Great but you forgot to show the fitting of the extra 9 spokes to create the 72 spoke wheels you created.

Thank you for watching. It is the same process but instead of cutting off the existing spoke, you measure halfway between each replaced spoke and add the extra spokes. Hope that is helpful.

Cheers, I figured that but I was thinking of modellers not so familiar with such improvements.
Perhaps not everyone will realise that the wheels need another 36 spokes.
Nice job though and looks good.
I have picked up an original Protar kit with metal wheels and spokes, it's a pity they didn't cast the correct number of spokes back then.
      We'll see what happens.

It is such an old but great kit. The lack of spokes would have been the difficulty tooling and cost to ensure the pricey kit wasn't overly pricey I imagine.

    Do you airbrush these after

These will be painted after priming. Yet to decide if they will be sprayed or brush painted for uneven texture.
