I think the guy cut the carpet in the middle and cut the duct work that goes to the rear. Then you can remove the duct that is below the actuator. The carpet cut is hid under the console and you use tape to reconnected the duct work. More here: czcams.com/video/cCUzOUqW6Ms/video.html
I did not get the step by step from taking console out to door actuator. I mean all the screws involved or prying trim of console????? That would have been nice .....on a 1998 ford expedition eddie bauer for what it is worth....thanks just the same..
