The BMW system was designed to be left turned on (snowflake symbol illuminated) 365 days a year, and NEVER turned off. The IKHA system is designed so that all incoming air first gets cooled (even in sub-zero temps) which removes the moisture. Once the air is dried, the system then warms the air to maintain the desired cabin temperature
would you make a video showing how you change the cool/hot difference between the top vents and foot vents? On my F30, there's a toggle switch I slide right and left. But on this G20...I don't see this feature
Agree, it’s not only annoying but actually dangerous. If you are using apple carplay you have to press 5 buttons to turn on the ac then get the screen back to where it was. Very dangerous if you’re a shit driver. How hard is it to just put an ac button on the dash?
Why do you need to turn if off? Leave on 21/22° all year. People don’t understand how AC works ( especially my mrs) Gets in the car when it’s freezing out and cranks it up to high etc
Yea, but that turns down the fans. Maybe I should had mentioned in the video, I'd prefer to have the button so that I can leave the fans-On with AC-Off, before parking in humid tropical climates. It prevents condensate/mold-smell from building within your AC and prolongs your AC life.
I expect you can program the a/c button to any of the numbered shortcut buttons. Highlight "climate control (a/c)" using the idrive controller, then long press your preferred shortcut button. You can now toggle it on or off easily.

Antonio Penev I was thinking of exactly the same thing. Don’t think he knows. 🤷🏻♂️

I just purchased a G21 330i. This was the only major issue we had too. Can't believe the is no physical button for turning conditioned air on/off.

@@willv198412 Negative. That particular function cannot be mapped to those buttons. :-(
Pressing and holding the down arrow for the fam turns off AC
