We recommend looking into what caused the hair algae and fixing it! Then, manually remove as much of the algae as possible. It may take a few weeks, but you can get back on top of it! 💪
To my knowledge, Vesicularia Dubyana is actually identified as "Singapore Moss", technically not java moss which is Taxiphyllum Barbieri. They are definitely 2 different plants but with the same common name. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I have some Java moss. It’s in my betta tank with shrimp. And provides lots of hiding places so they can stay safe 🙂
