    I have sold a few.
    I'm 70 years old.
    I'll never sell anything again.
Safe queens are going to stay home until I die.
I regret every one I've sold!

Never sold one from my collection. Never will. I've gifted 1 or 2 over the years...no strings attached. Special circumstances/needs by the recipient. Never regretted that. I even had one find it's way back to me, with thanks, after 3 decades. But sell, he'll no. I intend to pass the tools of freedom to my grandchildren.

Only gun I ever regretted selling was a 410 Stainless H&R Tammer shotgun. It was the first firearm I ever purchased at 18 years old. By the time I was 25, I never shot it, and wanted more tacticool firearms. Sold it. When I got home, I instantly regretted it. 8 years later I was scanning some local listings and found a 410 stainless tammer near me. When I got there, it was the same guy I sold it to, with the same ammo case, same rifle bag, and same shotgun. It had the exact mark on the stock from where it fell off my quad one day. I got it back!!!! It now gets taken out once or twice a year. I’ve even let my neighbors kids shoot it.

It looked brand new and had the Gold Prancing Ponies on the checkered walnut grips.I sold for $75 but please remember my gross salary was only $460/mo 2. My full size Colt 1911 45. I got jammed up money wise and had to sell something quick.$700. I miss it every day. There are other ones but this is just too painful brother!

I’ve sold/traded a number of firearms over the past eight years. Sold two out of necessity (had to relocate for a new job): Henry Golden Boy (my first gun) and an 1891 Argentine Mauser cavalry carbine (1892 year of production). Also sold an SKS, .357 Ruger SP 101, and S&W M&P Compact in .40 S&W bc I stopped shooting them and decided to trade them in for something new and different. Wish I hadn’t.

Some of them like the 1911 was my first pistol and the work I put into it to make it a good bowling pin gun for matches. My Savage 110 was my first hunting rifle but not my first rifle. The Taurus PT92 was just a great 9mm service/duty pistol. The Taurus Model 85 was my first revolver and satin nickel and it was my second pistol and backup to my 1911. I bought it from my boss originally and he gave me the blues for selling it. Haha.

My first shotgun was an Ithaca 20 ga. pump I got for Christmas one year. I was probably 14. I sold it for pennies on the dollar in my 20s. I had a Marlin model 783 bolt action .22 Magnum rifle that I let go. Also a Remington Speedmaster .22lr semiautomatic rifle and a Remington 7400 30-06 semiauto. To this day I grieve letting those guns go. They’re not all that valuable except to me for sentimental reasons. Now, I won’t sell any gun short of needing the money to save one of my kids’ lives!

It sucked when I sold an Extar EP9 - polymer pistol that was a lot of fun to shoot, never cleaned it but it shot any and all ammo without issue. Extar now makes an EP45 so that might be a fun one to replace the EP9. They take a long time to acquire though, a wait list and Extar only produces low quantities each month. And then the SBR issue you can’t shoulder it or have a brace on it, unless, of course you pay the infringement tax.

It was a great shooting gun, but in my younger days, I had to sell it due to a cash-flow problem.....About a year later, the fellow who bought it had it for sale at his table at a gun show. I bought it back for a small loss.
I enjoyed it for about two more years, and then a layoff forced a few guns to be sold, and it once more had to go.

I "almost" regretted selling my (very inexpensive) Diamondback DB9 Gen 4.
My boss was looking for a home defense gun. At the time; I hated the DB9 at the range because it kicked like a mule and WASN'T fun to shoot.
I loaned it to him for 2 or 3 months (with two loaded mags, and one in the chamber so he could try it out).
He let it sit in the back of his pickup the whole time never firing the weapon. When I finally asked him if he was gonna buy it or give it back; he said "the wife won't go for a gun in the house, so you can take it back"---everything was oxidized from the Iowa Humidity (aluminum casing bullets, gun, the whole nine yards), and I took it out in the country and fired everything. No hiccups at all.
I was impressed! I shot EVERYTHING through that $278.00 gun, and it did AND STILL DOES fire everything you throw at it. I'm keeping it, and glad I didn't sell it.
Still a hand smacker at the range---but VERY reliable.
Other than that, no, my guns are like my guitars...buy, and keep. The wife (and/or grown kids) can do what they want with my stuff when I'm gone.

There are several guns I regret selling, but biggest whopper is when back in 1987 a guy who I worked with said his Grand mother wanted her late husbands gun out of the house and this really involves " the gun I traded and TOTALLY REGRET IT. Its turns out this was a vintage GI 45ACP in which he used in World war 2 and it was a Remington Rand worth a big chunk of money that I paid only 150.00 for and I didn't being young I didn't know the value of firearms and turned around traded for new Cobray Mac-11 9mm that only cost 225 to 250 dollars . I cringe every time I think about this. Its no wonder the guy who did the trade was so happy.

I had a Sig 226 elite that I never warmed up to. I keep my guns in like new condition, and the matte finish of the elite was a pain to clean. Would have been nice just to still have on my collection.
Then I gifted my CZ sp.01 Omega compact to my future son-in-law, and that one I really miss. I don't think he has even shot it. I don't think he has even shot it yet. It was his Christmas present. I might get that one back if I cry a lot and tell him how much I miss it.

Main ones I regret go back to when I had an FFL. Should have kept a couple more of the East German Makarovs and a couple of the unissued Russian SKS rifles. Also the Egyptian Rasheed that I had. Probably most of all was a Colt Series 70 National Match that had no series markings on the slide. Made 300 bucks on the deal and had intent to grab another from the same dealer. Unfortunately he sold the last one a couple days before I got back to his shop.

What a coincidence, I also had a P30 in .40 S&W. I don't regret selling it, though, I hated the way it shot. And I know I'm not alone because I couldn't sell it to save my life. I had it for sale for weeks (actually, I think it was a few months) before I gave up and sold it to the FFL for whatever pittance they offered. My only regret is that I didn't get more money for it. I think you're the only person who likes that gun, if I could do it all over again, I'd sell mine to you 😂

Yes, I have a rare Amedeo Rossi 2 inch 5 shot revolver from the 1950’s, that my father bought brand new, and I inherited it. Mine was before Rossi even had model numbers, or gun names. I have checked Gunbroker many times, but have never seen one like mine. Also have a Firestar made in Spain by the now defunct Star.

Twice in my life I've owned original examples of the Dan Wesson model 15-2 .357 revolver, the blue one. Traded them both, stupidly, for something else. My only consolation is that both of the guns I traded for I still have and both are great shooters and a bunch o' fun.
Still, Dan Wesson had it going on in the '80's and I didn't appreciate what I had.

My biggest regret is I let a Ruger P-85 go, don't laugh. I could shoot that pistol better than any other pistol I've ever had. Use to hit man sized steel at 100 yds consistently. Hated the mushy trigger on it is why I let it go. But damn it was accurate as all get out, would buy another or a P- 89 if I could find one in really good shape. Thx for the vid FG

I haven't sold many guns in my entire life. I doubt I have sold 5 guns. I am sure I would regret selling any of the guns I have now.
I do recall selling a "Carbon 15" rifle I bought in the late 90s. I do NOT regret selling that one. It was all the rage at that time. It was not a good rifle. I traded it for a pre-ban Bushmaster EA15E2S Shorty AK. I still have that one!
