- I became a Medrunner to save other players' lives. In this Star Citizen PVP gameplay, I joined a squad of two medrunners while we waited for star citizen 3.18. patch to release.
Had a totally unique experience and I hope you enjoyed watching it as well!

So basically Trauma Team from Cyberpunk lol
I thought of Trauma Team the moment he described the usual team composition with two medics and two security and a pilot.
Yuup
Do I have to pay for the ammo expenses to
well yes but...
Currently, Medrunners operate for free, but as the game mechanics progress, then they are planning to implement a subscription model.
Responding to player service beacons might be my single most favorite part of the gameplay.
100% agree
I do that mixed with player bounties. Nothing else compares to player interaction.
I only respond to beacons if I have time to get rid of everything except a med gun and my flight suit. ... I ususally get shot by responding to "fake" beacons. :( ... Same with putting out a beacon on my own. ... I usually offer 200K extra if I make it off the planet in my own ship alive. XD ... that's usually enough to to turn a trap into something you walk away alive.

@@okamiexe1501 nahh u guys made me laugh :D Love the content and passion
The single coolest thing about star citzen isn't the ships or the gameplay loops or it being pretty or any of that jazz. It's the doors it opens to us as gamers and the power that gives us to create our own fun.
The beauty of sandbox games and SC is just perfect for that
Nah aint no way you think that ? You can list 100 other games that does that and way more.
The doors are really cool. Their animations are awesome.
Very cringey
Basically "We don't have anything for you to do, so spend hundreds of dollars on ships and figure it out yourself"
Should be renamed to Stockholm Citizen.
Ive been looking for medical gameplay, This is high quality your pretty underated.
Really appreciate your comment, tnx! :)
Reminds me of the Fuel Rats from that space game. And the fact that everyone would jump on people trying to kill them.
Elite Dangerous? The people that basically have fuel and medics to help you? I love that idea and love that people would immediately jump in to defend them because of it.
Not just defend. There’s entire groups that permanently hunt players down until they’re forced to start back at square one with the sidewinders.
@@tp_timtam863 Not much of a point since you can just play solo for a little bit till they forget
@@tp_timtam863 what? that is insane
*stumbles on drug boxes* , *sprains ankle* "GETTING SHOT! CONTACT! CONTACT!"

This reminds me of Trauma Team from Cyberpunk. It reminded me of TT when he talked about the usual team composition with two medics and two security and a pilot. I have been reading a Trauma Team webnovel recently and thats where the team composition reminded me of TT because in the novel the author uses the exact same team composition.
Do you happen to have a name for the novel? I'd be interested in giving it a read.
Do you know if theres any background specifications for joining TT, tought they were veteran medics from the corpo wars and all were medics
@@Omega5729 There is also a comic book by the same name published by dark horse. However, It is only a four-part miniseries.
I just started Star Citizen and came across this vid. I was an EMT for a few years so it was cool seeing this. How you described it is actually close to real life and I thought that was pretty cool.
-There's typically 2 medics per call, you and your partner - just like the 2 medics in your setup.
-We were once called out to a known dangerous location and we were escorted by police officers who went in to the residence and declared it safe before we went in - like the security personnel in your setup.
-We'd stabilize critical injuries/symptoms on-site then get to the nearest hospital ASAP and continue to treat/monitor on the way - just like your goal here of stabilizing and then transporting to the nearest med station.
-Even asking them if they want to go is something we did too if they were conscious and able to talk for themselves as you can't legally force anyone to go to the hospital (in your case you can't force someone to go to the med station).
Good stuff man, thanks for posting!
It can only get better as they flesh out the systems. Great video and love the armor. Happy New Year!!
For sure, excited for 2023. Thank you very much! Happy New Year!🎉
Yeah right now is all about game loops. Quanta mixed with the final product of SQ42 will be the cherry on top.
The box hitting you around 4:10 and you thinking you were getting shot has me rolling 🤣 😂
and the fact he's aiming around like its rainbow six siege
The Future of medical gameplay is looking brighter then ever before :) Thank you!
This is the first medic video in SC i ever saw and i am loving it thx for the video man, hope to see JT videos aswell
Awesome, thanks for the comment! PS JT video coming soon 🤫
@@ArcheezTV I am Hyped
this is very similar to the concept of the fuel rats in Elite Dangerous. A group of players that came together to create a community with a specific goal in mind. In this case being basically a med class and in Elite Dangerous to hoard fuel to people stranded in the deep confines of the galaxy. I love this. This video greatly raised the odds of me joining star citizen
I was just going to say that. At one point I was a fuel rat in training lol
MEDRUNNER here. Good video colleague!
Once combat systems get more fleshed out & merc companies begin to become the norm, then these medrunners are the literal forerunners to an entire niche within the community. There is a huge amount of potential when it comes to player interaction. Really hope they take a page from Avatar & give us ethically dubious resources (e.g. exotic alien animals, ecologically disasterous mining, etc) to fight over. Either way, the medic niche is sorely needed & will likely only become more valuable as time progresses.
Thanks for the comment! Definately agree about the medic niche and those additional resources would be awesome.
Yeahs there probably gonna be multiple medical providers at some point
I would love being a medic in our ludicrous space game
I saw some Medics hanging out at a station recently. Didn't know they were Medics till now! Keep up the awesome work.
interesting, I notice ppl use beacon for medical rescue only to find that those are pirates waiting to pounce on the poor medic once they arrived lol
That’s why Medrunner does combat training and has a team of minimum 5
@@ArcheezTV interesting I guess you guys are based on USA server? do you have your org do some med runs in AUS server?
@rio20d I am actually on EU, but there are people around the globe playing on different servers
If I ever get a PC descent enough to play this game I am 100% joining the med runners! That sounds like an extremely fun way to play the game.
I feel thus sentiment, I dropped 4k on a pc just to run this game and I love it despite the controversy
@@okamiexe1501 4k seems a little bit overkill but future-proofing is nice
@@Deathwindgames well consider this: the 4090 dropped not too long ago. Studios are gonna start doing what they did with next gen consoles; disregarding the 30 series and building their games solely for the 4090 to handle. Considering thats all I would have to upgrade when they do makes it so much easier.
@@okamiexe1501Justifying your extravagance by pretending a precedent exists that does not is some impressive mental gymnastics.
I had no idea this group existed, this is amazing!!
I have a carrack, and have always liked the idea of being able to send the Pisces down with a crew as an ambulance whilst keeping the carrack at a safe distance
join the med-runners and become their raft. I've been saved by a dedicated medic player twice in a bunker and its the best feeling ever to know you don't have to lose all that progress and armor.
Nice to see groups like that appear in SC too. Just like the Fuelrats in E:D. ^^ Finally a safe way to request help.
Great video! I love this type of content.
Thanks, appreciate your comment!
@@ArcheezTV You guys should put a carrack in orbit then bring down the pisces rescue to pickup people, that way you can treat up to tier 2
these guys really know how to have fun in the game :D :D loved the content
Glad to have you on board on this journey Snaips o7
Thanks for recruiting, o7!
Combination of Trauma Team from Cyberpunk and the Fuel Rats from Elite: Dangerous. This could be the start of something badass.
Very nice video! Love to see more of it and maybe join onetime the medrunner.
I really like the medical gameplay but i think it needs own PVE missions, too!
This is exactly the kind of content I love to see! Fantastic video was a short one but a goodie, I hope you continue to make content like this in the future.
Thanks for the comment, might make a longer ones in the future 😉
This is cool! I wana join the team. happy to pilot or medical !
i cant wait to see your channel grow!!! thank you for your hard work with great edits and commentary's!!
Remember to plug your twitch in comments and beggining of your videos during commenting :D
This is something I'd absolutely love to do, I love helping people whenever possible.
Yoo, it's the Trauma Team.
Heavily armed medics in flying armored ambulances saving their customers at any cost.
To see more details about how you fly to the customer and all that would be cool to see! But I liked the video, keep it up!
Thanks for the feedback!
How do I become part of this? I have my Pisces ready. And I’m going to go buy the armor set so I can look like a medic! Love this game play.
Awesome! To join Medrunner go to medrunner.space and click on Organization->Apply Now, then you must apply through the Star Citizen website as well as join Discord.
Btw, you got the C8R?
@@ArcheezTV yes I do
This reminds me of cyberpunks whole pay for medical extraction teams ect thing.
That whole operation reminds me of "The Fuel Rats" on Elite Dangerous
I love that. Its the Same like the "Fuelrats" in Elite Dangerous and 10/10 for that community service.. that is just awesome
Nice video, it's great to see People helping each other out like this.
I love the concept, I might look to sign up to this myself 😉
Happy new year 🎆
Thanks for the comment!
Happy new year 🎆
The concept is great. If it was actually a feature of the game though it'd be far better. I don't see why a game of this caliber has you needing to use a 3rd party website and Discord just to do something so basic. I'd rather see you be able to put out a distress beacon to certain channels or something along those lines. The more that can be done in game the less it'll break immersion and add to the fun.
thank you for putting some well deserved attention on this game! Happy new year and I hope your channel keeps growing!
Thank for the comment! 😊
Happy New Year to you too 🎉
Man I remember trying out star citizen during the free flight in 2022, and really enjoyed it. But I didn't buy it since I didn't have anyone else to play with, but seeing this, I definitely gotta grab the game
This is awesome, would love to join the org next time I'm able to hop on! Been waiting for an opportunity like this to make good practical use of the medical mechanics.
Awesome, head to medrunner.space to join 🙌🏻
i love seing this type of stuff where people recreate real jobs in vidya. its just really funny as I was an ambulance driver for a while, so the thought of getting off shift then going to do the same job in a game is really weird
That's some pretty good CQB and communication. Just for the sake of adding to the CZcams algorithm, if I may make some comments. Consider giving a distance and clock direction for your battle buddy to suspected or known enemy positions (in relation to your direction of travel, not where your currently facing). Also, I know it's important for your team to get to the casualty quickly to render aid. However, the priority should be to clear the entire structure as a team prior to anything else especially since it looked like there were only two of you clearing. Then cover your medic while he renders aid. It also may be a good idea to come up with some type of SOP for marking the casualty. Maybe use a distinctive color Chem light and make the casualty put it on his chest, so that everyone on the op (especially outside) knows he is the casualty and not an enemy combatant. It's always a good idea to have 2-3 "security questions" for the intended casualty prior to evacuation ("what street did you grow up on?" etc.). Also, striping him of any weapons, ammo, or grenades is always a good practice before loading him into transportation. All in all though, great op and you guys did really well. RLTW
Thanks for the feedback! o7
I was for a long time a fuel rat in elite dangerous on xbox, but unofficial i searched for help suggestions in this grousearch thing or the ingame chat. and what i try to say is be a medic or a fuel rat or someting else to help players is everytime a good thing its fun and you can help players win win in my eyes
This is basically the strongest suit for Star Citizen, the amount if Roleplaying is pretty good
So your basically night city Trauma Team in star citizen? Neat.
Yeah
0:47 A guy walks in with no head an no-one is concerned? 😆
Joking aside, I have a friend in this Org. Uniform looks great 👍🏻
Yep, we actually talked with him and joked that he needs medical assistance 😅
Those are some crazy good medics.
At 0:50 you can see a patient that has lost his head and they still stabilized him!
it was a pleasure sitting on the floor at EH with you lol
We should do it again sometime 😅
Yeah we should
we are the med runners
but we are not suprised by the headless person running next to us
xD
That's so cool! Now SC got it's own version of ED's Fuel Rats~
Great Armour combination 👌
Indeed it is! Medrunners are known for their armor color in the Stanton 😉
I'll definitely say the player-made assistance communities in both Star Citizen and Elite: Dangerous are the best parts of either game.
This was amazing! Definitely reminds me of the Fuel Rats in ED. Would love to see more or a series
Wow i was thinking of playing as a medic when i play.
Now i find out there is a hole group of people like me!?
Website bookmarked and i will send in an application as soon as i can play some more and get a handle on gameplay more.
See you around, citizen! O7
0:48 Wow that guy really needs a medic, what with no head and all.
Yeah, we actually talked with him in-game and asked if he needs medical assistance, lol
That is cool. You add THE to Verse ;)
1:11 "do we want want to take a cuteiless ship" lmao
For a little while I was in EVE-SCOUT in Signal Cartel. Checked out a supply caches and mapped wormholes. Was a lot of fun doing that and being on standby to assist. Also gives you a new way of looking at all of the wormhole systems and how interconnected they actually are!
this is what I imagine Star Citizen becoming ,Very nice game play .😃
They've only been developing it for 10+ years. Maybe in 10 more years.
@@TheFailedmessiah I don't get why more people aren't concerned for the game.. It's been in development for so long. Their model so far has been selling ships to whales.. and on top of it somehow it has absolutely beautiful graphics but like 0 content. Typically the first thing you work on in development is the content not the graphical fidelity.
@@TheFailedmessiah I smell sulk
@@Eventide215 The fact that you said "0 content" makes me fear for the level of research that is considered applicable in normal society, and it's not like they are shoving micro-transactions down your ass
@@LineOfThy The fact you base your decision purely on micro-transactions says a lot about "normal society." You can defend the game all you want, but all it currently is is a lot of pretty things and nothing else. It has so little content and mechanics in it that people had to go and create their own as shown in the video and multiple others. Yet the game has been in development for *years*.
This looks like a great service, going to try using it when I'm in the verse next.
Seams like a fun org actually.
Medrunners are basically the Fuel Rats from Elite Dangerous mixed with the Trauma Team from Cyberpunk 2077
I remember seeing someone in Global Chat explaining the Medrunners and my mind was blown when I got to the Website
Yep, the Medrunner org leader Tr1stan has done an amazing job on the website
this give the same vibe as the fuel rats from elite dangerous, I love it
Cyberpunk's Trauma team but space version XD
Love the video, This is what Star Citizen needs, nice RP guys.
My aim is to create unscripted movies in open-world games like Star Citizen, so I hope you are going to enjoy more of my content 🤗
Very redundant on my end, but very Trauma Team-esc from Cyberpunk as others have mentioned. I do like this concept though of having a decked out medical team who would go in to save someone of status or just apart of something generally. And for the context of the world its in, I say it makes sense in some way to have this implemented
yeah... eventually star citizen might be good... but alot is still missing... like transport ships/service.. which is what id like to do... having a luxury cruise ship sorta deal with heavily armed guards and transporting npcs and players around the galaxy sounds fun for me.
Great, now I want a red constallation with a ambulance
Always a great time running with the runners 🏥🤕
Awesome video - got a C8R just for this
Thanks! Great choice for a Medrunner ship
That was quite fun to watch! Thanks!
Man said the Star Citizen version of Trauma Team.
You know what, I f with this.
🙌🏻
Absolutly mix of maestry and fun. Great clip.
Glad you enjoyed it
Since this started happening, Everus Harbor is a fucking nightmare lagfest to spawn into.
Ooops 😅
I just joined the medrunners and have been hesitant on doing my first mission. This kinda cleared that up for me. Also excited to see they are going to finish the Apollo within the next 3-4 months
I love this kind of thing, if I could run the game better I'd definitely apply but with that framerate I'm not saving anyone but myself
What’s your specs?
Wow, so actual real life trauma team is a game play loop in this game!? holy shit! Thats cool as fuck.
I just started as a person and run med runs but I didn't know there a hole med squad that's awesome
Very good video, well crafted.
I think I'll have to do something like this. You know how a bunch of people take the challenge of starting with nothing and running to an emergency shelter, just to send out an emergency beacon? Most people would rather find a weapon and steal the ship of the responder, but I'd kinda like to run a pickup service for people taking the challenge, preferably with a Hammerhead after they become available in the Pledge shop again.
Good stuff that. This sort of thing makes me proud of the good people in humanity’s outreaching arms
Thanks for the comment 😊
Nice video, i loved every second!
But, what i see is much more like the "trauma team" style from CP than the classic medic stuff 😆
Yeah I agree, thanks for the comment 🫡
While everyone else says this reminds me of trauma team. I'm over remembering the fuelrats in elite dangerous. Community made emergency service.
Really cool video on a really cool group!
Reminds me of a Star Citizen version of the RNLI or the Air Force Pararescue. Also reminds me of the Fuel Rats and Hull Seals from Elite: Dangerous. It’s cool how much Elite and Star Citizen’s players have begun to overlap recently. Speaking of which, I’m a console Elite player who is waiting for the second wave of (limited) transfers. Any fellow Commanders reading, How are things over doing over in the PC Side? I haven’t played in awhile and I’m interested to know what I’ll be joining when I finally transfer.
Other than that, keep up the good work. I’d love to see more on the Player Groups of Star Citizen or similar games.
-J
that looks incredibly fun!
Once i got a good enough PC and the Game i will defwnetly either join the Medrunners or create my Own Version of it cause i am just the kind of guy who loves being a Medic
👍🏽Well done, Happy 2953!🎊
Thanks, happy 2953 to you too! 🥳
0:49 That guy is beyond medical help.
Sounds like fun.
May join when I get Starcitizen
Great teamwork!! Looks like fun. :)
This is like a medical version of the Elite: Dangerous Fuel Rats.
Heck, there might be a Fuel Rats organization in Star Citizen and I might not be aware of it.
Proximity chat in this would be great
These guys remind me more of the Trauma team in CP2077. If you know their lore, yoy know tgey are the medic team that will always leave more bodies behind than when they came.

No way! #1 that's awesome, and #2 I wanna sign up now.
I have a Cutty red, it'd be fun do more stuff like this bc rn as a solo its kinda hard.
