    Hey Nick - thanks for covering these updates - glad the Architects get some love in this one. I covered the Electrical updates and I'm a bit underwhelmed.

    This may just be the most underwhelming Revit relsease to date.

      autodesk might as well call this 2024.3 and save us the hassle of a full version upgrade.

      Could not agree more. Especially the 24.3 patch comment.
      Essentially you are paying two years of subscription fees for the same product.

      Really disappointed, and showing MEP fabrication down our throat instead native elements is bullshit, fix god damn pipe insulation graphics

    • @Constantinesis
      @Constantinesis Před 3 měsíci +1

      Don't they usually do like this? I mean make major improvements only every two releases and not each time? Graphisoft Archicad used to do this.
      Anyway I thought the new toposolid improvements are a major thing that was well requested but I read somewhere that the Cut Fill volume calculation are still broken if you slice them. Can anyone confirm this?

      @rik0904 Před 2 měsíci

      @@Constantinesis last major improvements that i remember was in 2017. What new in Revit 2025 is fixing bugs. But not bugs in api, god forbid for theme to do anything ablaut it. 6 years waiting for fix a crucial bug with connectors, but no they will add 0 array.

    Is there any way to reformat your last slides as the end cards make them hard to read? Great summary video as always Nicolas! Very excited for sheet collections and the alignment tools.

    How accurate is the excavation solid feature? Does it align with calculating the volume dashboard inside Civil 3D (surfaces comparations)? How about parameterizing topography assemblies, is that possible (ex. 1:5 proportions)?

    Напишите им, в таблице нужно срочно обновить фильтрацию, она слишком устарела. Нужно, как в сортировке, хотя бы 8 позиций.

    I truly hope they allow door scheduling by swing direction. The current workarounds and the need of third-party plugins is nothing but a nightmare!!!

    • @brunocschreiber
      @brunocschreiber Před 3 měsíci +1

      Maybe create two families, one for each swing direction, just for make it easier to label? Or even a instance parameter? I know it's not the best workaround but it might work well on small-medium projects. Hahaha

    • @tael6691
      @tael6691 Před 3 měsíci

      Yes, this is long overdue! You got some terrible suggestions from other commentators with solutions that have enormous flaws where you have to check each and every door direction manually anyway. 😂 Autodesk should just fix this.

    • @MartcheSz
      @MartcheSz Před 3 měsíci

      Make a parametric with yes and no, for openings, and add for the scheduling the parametric

    • @camaleon9
      @camaleon9 Před 3 měsíci

      @@MartcheSzThere shouldn't be any workarounds for this matter. IMO, this should be part of the family itself. I've tried your solution and, it's not efficient yet, I should be able to filter amounts by left and right (exactly the way you do when scheduling)

    • @Constantinesis

      Yeah that's how they even marketed in the original video, that you can do tunnels and such. I also wonder how often the majority of architects need that.

    The array change is going to be massive, and love the annotation alignment tool integration! But thats about the extent of my excitement...
    I'm totally not feeling this "sheet collection" addition. Why would you want to have duplicate drawing numbers in a project?
    This goes against any naming convention on a project I've come across.
    I plan on sticking with browser organisation, sorted by custom sheet parameters.
    I can't see us adding this to our package workflow... it just seems too much of a pain to manage, regardless of being able to schedule the collections out!
    (That being said, I'll be waiting for 2025.2 until I give it a bash!🎉)

    • @tael6691
      @tael6691 Před 3 měsíci

      @@johnestupin5619Yeah, working with terrain is impossible now when you can no longer copy- or align points or box select many points at once. The toposurface approach to working with terrain was much better allthough it's flaws. We are still on 2023 because working with terrain is too important to us to upgrade.

    Make all Autodesk s/ware interface the same way. Also, improve editing of parameters & made selection of items easier: Stop making shite So hard to read!
    Improve REVIT to be more graphically based & setup for users to modify items: more like how a user interacts w/ AutoCAD, or better yet, ArchiCAD.
    Or, even better, just use ArchiCAD.

    Revit, as a modeling tool for custom 3D objects (couch, chair, other entourage), is in a stone age. While it is possible to model intricate 3D objects in a free software, even web-based ones, like OnShape, Revit didn't change it's approach since V.1: extrusion, blend, revolve, sweep, sweep blend... that's all Revit got? - sad, borderline pathetic. Am I missing something?
