Rooney was better at 18 - arguably Rooney was never as good again as he was at 18, he was a monster. Owen was also incredible at 18 and was scoring for fun. Bellingham is incredible, and looks like he'll have a better career than both, because his technique and skill doesn't depend on physicality and speed.

He is like Zidane when Zidane was Almost at his prime just as he left Juve to Madrid. He bosses the middle of the park, Tall n Athletic, sets up the play, great ball control and can dribble players, super intelligent he reads the game well, work rate in defence and attack, scores goals and has leadership qualities.

Shearer and Owen had goals from day 1. Rooney, Dele Alli and Jack Wilshere were all taking names and bossing champions league games at the same age. Even Ross Barclay was labelled the next Gazza.
Bellingham has done it consistently everywhere he's been including MADRID. I love Wilshere but they're not even remotely comparable. Bellingham is going to be insanely good.

He's the most complete midfielder I've ever seen at his age, and his is a position that typically gets much better with age. They aren't players that peak early and he's already excellent. We might literally be looking at one of the greatest midfielders of all time.

You can say Maradona or Ronaldo were better, but firstly, that is not at all bad company to be in! People need to bring up Pele´s world cup to dampen Bellingham´s light. But that was a different kind of football, not to be compared. Maradona was a genius, but also troubled. His head wasn´t focused like a true professional. Also you are comparing strikers (ronaldo,..) with a midfielder who is scoring a lot at the moment. Where was Zidane aged 20? To be a top midfielder, the hardest role, and the best in your new real team is insane. It´s more normal to have a quick forward at 17-18.
