If I previously talked about it, I am now TESTING it/them. These MODS are actually quite fine and I can't wait for developers to start officially implementing FSR3 into their games
Tava ansiosamente esperando por esse video seu!
Please can you show us how to install Alan Wake 2 FSR 3 mod please
@@crowland3358 you need more steps there because of their custom fsr implementation
@@AncientGameplays I see just like cyberpunk it's up to would make a great video.
@@crowland3358Alan wake 2 with amd motion fluid frames is running well but you needs a freesync monitor because is horrible to play without vsync.
This actually proves that frame generation is possible on all GPUs, unlike what Ngreedia claims!
Hope to see official FSR3 support in most / all games that currently support DLSS3
nVidia use AI which is the better method. FSR is tuned for AMD cards only, the fact it runs on other cards is just because of AMD's lack of AI cores on the consoles. XeSS will run on other cards too but as with FSR performance is reduced, so is image quality. Soon Intel will have their own version of nVidia's frame generation (ExtraSS). The great thing about FSR frame generation is it works with DLSS or even XeSS. So you could mix technologies if that what you want.
@@GodKitty677The entire first half of your comment is wrong.
First, we don't know what DLSS 3 uses for frame generation, and their stated reason for not supporting Ampere cards is optical flow accelerators, which don't have anything to do with AI.
Second, afaik FSR uses common GPU API to do what it does. It might work better on AMD GPUs simply because that's where most testing is done and it's a more familiar territory for the software engineers, but it doesn't have a separate algorithm that takes advantage of AMD's architecture the way Intel's XeSS does.
Third, RDNA 3 does actually have AI cores. They're rarely utilized in games, but they're there.
@@HunterTracks Powered by new fourth-generation Tensor Cores and a new Optical Flow Accelerator on GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs, DLSS 3 is the latest iteration of the company’s critically acclaimed Deep Learning Super Sampling technology and introduces a new capability called Optical Multi Frame Generation.
Optical Multi Frame Generation generates entirely new frames, rather than just pixels, delivering astounding performance boosts. The new Optical Flow Accelerator incorporated into the NVIDIA Ada Lovelace architecture analyzes two sequential in-game images and calculates motion vector data for objects and elements that appear in the frame, but are not modeled by traditional game engine motion vectors. This dramatically reduces visual anomalies when AI renders elements such as particles, reflections, shadows and lighting.
The NVIDIA Optical Flow SDK exposes the latest hardware capability of NVIDIA Turing, Ampere, and Ada architecture GPUs dedicated to computing the relative motion of pixels between images. The hardware uses sophisticated algorithms to yield highly accurate flow vectors, which are robust to frame-to-frame intensity variations and track the true object motion.
Real-Time Performance
Interpolate or extrapolate video frames in real-time, improving smoothness of video playback or reducing latency in VR experiences
I can see clearly what is happening from these two nVidia statements. Optical Flow Accelerator calculates motion vector data which then dramatically reduces visual anomalies when AI renders elements such as particles, reflections, shadows and lighting.
@@HunterTracks bro how bad is the input delay ??
@@ajayb2333I'm not very sensitive to input delay, so I'm probably not the best person to ask, but I find it barely noticeable in Cyberpunk at 45 FPS.
I hate this trend that we stopped asking developers to optimize their games so we have to resort to these kinds of hacks
We really cant do anything about this no game company will listen to us so we have to use these hacks to get good fps and i also hate the trend of people caring about the fps rather than the fun of the game itself and i also hate this trend but there's nothing to do :(
@@ferasalbalawi6390oh they will listen, trust me. the community just has to stop buying their games

This is an early Christmas present lol
hoping that the devs implement this quickly and in as many games as possible
a few years maybe
@@maniakfps249 you clearly have no idea about game developement, its now open source, and since it was opened there are mods for games 24h later, thats not a long time, you can expect that in other games too.
CDPR won't...they are so much tied in with Nvidia that cyberpunk will have FSR3 as late and as butchered as possible.
@@Punisher1992 He's talking about how long it will take for the game devs to put this into their own games. He's right, modders will do it in 24hrs and devs will drag their feet or have other things they are working on. Some may never bother at all and a mod will be all you get.

Loving the direction FSR 3 and FG are headed in. I've been playing Yakuza with FG on, and I've locked my framerate to 144. It's so silky smooth, and I can barely notice any weird artifacts or latency from FG. Nice video, as always.
Yes, because it was well implemented by the developers
@AncientGameplays true. They did a great job, and the game is very well optimized.
For those of you using the lukefz mod, in order to eliminate ghosting and ui glitches in cyberpunk follow these steps:
1. Enter settings and enable dlss.
2. Exit settings and check the fps. You will see the fps increased due to FG.
3. Now in order to eliminate ghosting and ui glitches, you must re-enter settings and turn off all upscalling.
The fps will remain the same, but all ghosting and ui glitches will be gone.
This trick can be used in other games, but you may have to choose other upscaller instead of turning upscalling off completely. All that matters is that you switch from dlss upscaller once you applied the frame generation settings.
I hope this works for you. It did for me. 😊
Thanks for reviewing this mod! I've been seeing articles all morning about it and was curious how well it works or doesn't lol
Thanks for watching
Absolutely fantastic video, Fabio. Keep up the great content.
I am excited to see the day come when game devs implement this into their games.
Same here+
Am I wrong or it just looks good? GG AMD, well done 👏
It is, and once modders will figure out how to separate UI from frame generation, it'll be amazing (for now, UI is messed up most of the time)
thats already fixed @@mixedd69

You need to see them by yourself. There's a big difference between what you see on CZcams and what you get while playing the game
Thanks Fabio. Once again you come through with content people care about when they care about it. You rock brother.
Thank you!
i am currently testing the mod it is amazing feel so much smoother i didn't expect that
How I do it
I'm looking forward to the driver implementation
The avalanche has started, the snowball effect is kicking in, and it hasn't even been a week! People take it easy, have a beer, grab some popcorn, the real madness will start after the new year. MOVE TOWARDS RED. 👍🍻🍿🥳🙋
If modders can do this quickly then developers have no excuse not to at least attempt to implement it
Gpu companies dictate what the dev can and cannot do i guess not sure
Developers need to "perfect" it before releasing it to the public unlike modders. There are still graphical glitches happening in games with FSR3 turned on. Plus we don't know if this is going to be the final product. There are still issues with it not to mention that the Quality preset still looks like crap when on which might change to actually represent what it is.
@@dorayaki5494 yeah, but they also release completely broken games, it will be good to realese that shitty optimization at least with fsr3, so making the game barely playable on release. Actually, I'm waiting around six months for playing every new game, and fsr will not change that for me :P
Thanks for the video, your content is amazing. I like the way you explain all of the details, it helped me a lot with my 6650 xt :)

Hello world fom England,
Love you video (so much helps),
Thank you
I just really want and hope to keep this technology as a small boost and not a must. As some developers being using upscalers in some games.
Is gonna be a must sorry to disappoint. I see that more and more games need this technology to run properly or you will get stuck at 45 fps, especially with ray tracing on. Some might be happy with that low fps but I am not, I played Avatar and without fsr and frame generation, I can't get a stable 50 fps on low- medium settings 2k with a 6700xt card. Is not such an old card but feels nowadays like It is prehistoric. I like the smoothness in games so 90 fps for me is a must.
@@affent1522 well considering the minimum fps for 1080p is 60fps and for 1440P is 70fps. I dont see it becoming a must because FG at sub 40fps is terrible.
Beautiful video, I can also confirm that FG is never bug free even in CP2077 with DLSS on 4090 it’s not bug free, so that is something you have to live with, but interface will always be fine in official implementations. I also only use it in games where I need to and so far it is only CP2077 (RT ultra etc). For example in D4 I did not use it, it’s unnecessary even in 4K, DLSS balanced is preferred there.
This is so sick. You're doing the work of a legend.
Ciao Fabio, 7zip is FOSS and it can do the same as your Winrar evaluation copy 😆.
Thanks for the vid, I saw you pass by in the Discord.
edit : just want to add one thing, you can actually disable FSR in the game after you've enabled it and FG will stay active until you restart the game.
I don't think it will haha
Damn, I just started playing Red Dead Redemption 2 on my R5 5600 and RX6600XT build and it's struggling a little bit on 1440p 😅 A FSR3 mod for Red Dead 2 would be very welcomed

Nice review man!
Thanks
amazing, even with some issues
Indeed interesting
For someone who only plays at 60hz 1080p, looks like I don't even need to look at FSR yet, everything seems to get 60fps easily these days. However I do need 8x AA or to downscale from 1440p or a higher res back down to 1080p to get rid of jaggies in some games. AA still seems to lower fps by more than half, in some games I get 300 fps with AA off but then as soon as I enable AA, it goes down to 60-80 for example. Then add the downscaling from a higher resolution with AA and I can get back into 40-45 fps. Moving forward that could be an issue with newer games in 2025,2026 and beyond. By then hopefully FSR is ironed out even more, cause I could see myself using it in the future, very interesting tech. I want to see a 720p image looks as good as a 1440p image entirely through rendering techniques. That way we can get the performance of a 720p output but with the clarity of 1440p. I think its possible.
Nice work like always! Thumbs up! Do you know if FSR3 will be also work with Vulkan and DX11?
it will for sure, as long as developers want to haha
For anyone wondering, yes this works for rog Ally and legion go... And surprisingly on those screens u wont notice artifacts or delay
Fsr3 is very good in terms of delay btw
I would like to see this kid on Jedi Survivor. That game really needs a frame Gen

Hello Fabio! A question! What do u think about VSR? I use it to play bf2042. I have a 60 Hz monitor, led 22”, dating back to my first build (2010). It still works, so. I set vsr at 1440p, and it seems like better than native 1080p.

Nice to see some fsr3 mods but I personally don't like paid mods. As a "developer" (cs student with some personal projects) I can understand why it's on patreon but for me mods should be free (especially if based on an open source technology like fsr), also mods community has always been against paid mods. No hate towards the dev, I like his work and nice video btw
If this mod is using GPL code than I would imagine the open sources gods will make their displeasure known. That said, I don't know which license AMD released the code under so it could be just fine to use it in a paid product.
@@MoultrieGeek I don't know if it's actually legit, I didn't check but I was speaking in general. I don't like paid mods in general because I find them against the "mod philosophy"
Edit: I'm NOT suggesting to pirate the mod

Hey, try using the 23.12.1 drivers and disabling MPO
@@AncientGameplays thank you (:
@@AncientGameplays unfortunately problem persists ); MPO didn’t seem to help at all, it actually seems a little worse. The problem is when a video is full screened on the second monitor. Primary monitor is 240hz, second it 60hz. I was already using the Adrenalin version you said since I just built this pc like 3 days ago. I wonder if this is an issue on AMD’s side. I came from a 2080 and had no issues like this.
Interesting video.
This mod has now leaked.
Yup
wait so we can add frame gen in game that don't have it ?pls i need to know if yes i'm doing it rn
can this be used on any game with fsr or is it with just certain games from a specific list?
Not all games, but most
How about a vid on FSR 2 vs FSR 3 quality comparison if AMD has improved anything on the upscaler or just added FG
The (publicly available and very easy to find) documentation for FSR3 says it ships with FSR 2.2.3 as the upscaler. The change-log for FSR 2.2.3 says it fixes a few chroma format compatibility issues for better HDR support over FSR 2.2.1
So the short answer is: no change. But do remember that the vast majority of games STILL haven't gotten around to upgrading to the FSR 2.2 branch, which is a major bummer as it fixes a lot of the sizzling seen in FSR 2.0 and 2.1, so if they actually bother doing integration of FSR 3, then we can (hopefully) count on them to update the upscaler while they're at it.
where did u get ur background? looks dope, looked online for batman wallpapers cant find it

this is very interesting there is also now a DLSS to FSR3 + FG

@@AncientGameplays Yeah, frame gen is not meant for 60hz. But cyberpunk on 30fps has been a thing on the consoles. 30fps with reflex and fsr3 frame-gen to 60fps plays pretty well. Sure, there are some frame-gen artifacts. But it's worth it for maxed ray tracing.
How does it compare to just using native resolution with AFMF? Some of those artifacts are a bit too much for me with FSR.

@@opbush5272 dxvk doesnt always work better its a tool you can use but in my case since i moved from a 2070 super to a rx 6950 xt the experience of dxvk got worse i get massive fps spikes like it constantly is reloading every part every time it gets really anoying to deal with
from what i read dxvk is great for nvidia not so for amd on windows but great for amd but not for nvidia on linux
but i mean i am allready over my monitor refreshrate of 120 constantly so afmf is just some flexing XD
@ProtoType4588 if that's the case keep on using it. For me I use dxvk async on bl2 and it works really well.
Hi. do you know why my amd adrenalin is not keeping my own settings?
Not 100% stable settings
where u bought it?
can max out all settings on cyberpunk now with around 86-99 fps (dlss quality) in cyberpunk now on my rtx 3080. The only downside to this mod is the artefacts and that I can't seem to lock my fps!
You have more artifacts because your base fps are low... get at least 60
@@AncientGameplays gotcha I'll have a play around with it some more ^^ though the artifacts are more on bits of debris floating around not so much on the game world itself atm
Is this only working for the 7000 series?
Of course not
Do you think you can show us a tutorial for cyberpunk. i allready tried it but failed (with amd)
I can try maybe
@@AncientGameplays it would be so so cool. Because i have a Vega 56 and i guess you know how cyberpunk 2077 works on that gpu.😅😄
Hm, is the mod better than driver based AFMF?
The ghosting artifacts with the mod are really bad. Can't remember have any with AFMF. I'm not satisfied.
I have not personally tested it but based of how fsr FG works vs afmf.. I have no doubt that fsr3 will look far better than afmf.
For me it is, at least on my end. It is worse on the UI part only, but it delivers more input latency, even with Radeon Anti Lag activated
AFMF has only less artifacts in specific games where they fine tuned it, like Cyberpunk and some others. Overall, looks worse than even this MOD imo. The real implementations will look much better
where did you get the mods?
Watch the video... jesus
Isn't it just like afmf, is it better? Does moving around too quickly cause frame drops?
FSR 3 FG is better. AFMF doesn't have access to motion vectors and other important in-game data, so it works worse.
Nah, fsr3 fg is much better in everything
Cannot wait to see it in skyrim SE. Because when modding skyrim, the limitation is the game engine, not your hardware. Thus, no matter what you do you will drop to 30-40fps range from 60fps. FSR 3 FG could help to smoothen out these drops. Currently only nvidia's FG and DLSS are there along with AMD's FSR 2 and xess.
@@azul9576 no Xbox chegou cagado?
Não to falando do pc
@@azul9576 poha é pé no Chao pra mim kk
Pra mim, depende de ter a opcao de desativar o raytracing e ai ele roda no Xbox s,mas,no pc é complicado mesmo ,o trilogy do gta então,veio Todo cagado e ate com bug,Nessa ai eu concordo no Maximo
do we need an amd card for this?
The mod should work on nvidia cards as well as FSR3 does
It just works just like my cable management mister pc doctor
