The guy isn't "playing supertech"...he did his best to be a man and fix it himself. Give the poor guy a break.
Oh man... Thank you thank you. I took out the sensor and the igniter and cleaned them all up and put it back together and it still wouldn't light. The reset button...duh! I had my space heater and my space blanket all ready to go it's supposed to get down -22 tonight. But now I have a furnace again. Thank you kindly Sir!
Thanks Steven!
Golden screwdriver award! I frikin love it. 😂😂😂

I bet that service switch got shut off and they turned it back on. The she called him. Then he became homeowner super tech. Just cost him 3 hard ones. Lolol
Thank you, the same thing happened here ! Appreciate the video
This video was very helpful new home owner. thank you so much
Thank you so much. I had the same issue as this gentlemen. I checked the censors as you did and found them to be loose. After reconnecting them and tightening down the attachment screws, my furnace light up right away. I really appreciate your advise.
Thanks so much for making my morning with coffee before work, trying to fix my furnace DIY. I just shared this video on FB, and I am DIY because I rent and have a dog, few weeks ago, no heat, my son had to sit in car half a day, and I had dog at work half a day, pain in , not supposed to. So trying to fix myself if possible. Flame comes on, off, after 30 seconds a few times, I cleaned the ignition switch tonight. not the flame sensor. Didnt know till I tried to order a back up flame sensor. Ruud old gas heater.
I turn off my furnace heater and it doesn't work. smh
So my attic furnace wasn’t working and my husband was away for work. I watched your video and then did something as simple as put the front covers on correctly which pushed the gas feed button apparently. I mean, it WAS working until a few days ago, and I hadn’t messed with it, so I’m not sure why it even worked…🤔 In any event, watching you talking about the door switch made me go up and get those covers on tight, and Lo and behold, heat! 🔥 thank you, enjoyed your MA accent also!👍🏻
Another swing and miss by Johnny Homeowner !
How many times did he mess with it in 19 days ?
Answer: Once. The day he called you.
Ole' Steve is like a teenage boys momma. Telling him to "quit playing with it." 😂😂😂
No error code because he shut off. Tell him next time to look in the little window for a blinking green light. It can give you a direction to chase down.
Lol it sounds like Steven is doing work for his slightly-deeper voiced twin brother lol
Probably it would have been worth cleaning the flame sensor at least and do a basic maintenance check since your were already there
Well what ever he did to fix it himself, makes it harder for you to figure what was the problem. Also him interjecting makes it hard, maybe should of not touched anything and see if would startup first, if not then check/trouble shoot , to see why not. This guy will now do all you did next time, before calling you. And you will not know what he did that could of compound the problem. If a guy does not know, should leave it alone.
A homeowner induced service call. My favorite. Lol.
Nice job and video
I have a 1987 stellar york plus furnace and I'm having trouble... Once it's lit and it heats a cycle it will not start on it's own. The inducer keeps running but no flame
I need you hear in Atlanta Georgia. The same problem I have.
2:30 LOL!!!
Hey Steve! Looks like you found a “New SuperTech!”.
Oh boy. He knows how to reset the rollout switches now.
Home owner supertech is so annoying.
Easy Money !!!
I love it when you get these DIY home owners who watch these videos and try to fix there systems. Then when they can't they call you out and complain about cost for repairs.
You gave the customer too much info!
Good ole residential
i love it !!!!!! edbonjovi
Did you figure out the problem?
It’s a mystery.
Customer for life
Magic hand
I love Rheem products but that flame sensor is a pain in the ass to get in and out
not nearly as big of a pain in the ass as the lennox and carrier 90% furnaces. On the rheems you just need a 6 inch bit on your impact and its easy
I got the opposite problem. No cooling. Can't even drop the house temp 1 degree at 50 degrees.
Call back?
Sounds like as STOP TOUCHING THE FURNACE 😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
yep this man is homemaker :) DIY a specialist...
if it aint broke no need to fix it lol
What is that accent by the way? You and the customer share it.
Massachusetts
Tell him he's going to go blind if he keeps playing with it. 😊👌
I cant believe he doesn’t use a battery powered light
Should take him on as a new super tech 😂
Lmao
It’s a leaker mamma
Supertech strikes again.
I say let them play super tech and they can super pay.
Homeowner trying to break new furnace. Should've been the edited title.
I hate those calls....either he fucked with it ...or it's a bad board that's behaving well while your there.
Did you collect for a service call??
I hate that door switch.
leave it alone
I took it apart then turned the gas off. Now it doesn’t work, but it should. Don’t mess with something if you don’t know what you’re doing. I don’t fix plumbing b/c I’m clueless, I’d rather pay someone to fix it than fix my screwup and then fix the actual problem.

I dislike working on anything a homeowner has touched. I would have walked away once you touch it you own it.
So were you playing around with the furnace?
Not really, i turned the gas off.
Disconnected some extra wires.
Orange tube on top pulled that off
Hit the control board with hammer.
And just watched for it to come on.
🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
VOTE TRUMP!
Why do men breathe so heavily when doing repairs?

Again.......you post these videos so we the viewers can learn basic repair; then you criticize the guy for trying to help the homeowner! Is it all about the $$$$, or are you trying to teach the general public ? By the way, its called ' constructive criticism' .
There's paying attention and learning. And then there is paying attention and after a few videos thinking you are a 'Certified HVAC" tech of dozens of years of knowledge. In other words, he knew enough to be dangerous- But not enough to correctly repair it.
Did we listen to the same video? He is just being himself.
