Jaclyn - you turned me on to Makeup Geek shadows and I agree they are some of the absolute best out there. But one *word of caution* to those interested - DO NOT buy the "Makeup Geek Ultimate Eyeshadow Palette" where they select and send you 27 shadows. I thought it would be the best way to get a wide selection of colors but what I got was about 50% purple shades, 40% bright colors (yellow, green, neons) and only 10% wearable shades (inlc. only one brown color & the rest light lid shades)! I was so pissed but had already unboxed everything so didn't send it back - it was $170 with shipping and I barely even use it.
they might have changed the shades since I bought it a few months ago, but still, I think it's better to pick your own :)
VasseurBeauty I think they changed the shades because most of the ones demoed above are in the new palette. That being said it is currently "out of stock" but may be available again in August according to their site. Only reason I know is because I was trying to avoid the EXACT experience you had. :(

I'm glad you left your comment! I also thought that would be the most cost-friendly way to get a lot of shadows but I looked at the colors and knew I wouldn't even be using most of them. I did just order a palette of 27 with colors that I picked individually. It's still cheaper than MAC or MUFE and I know I'd actually use the colors. For someone looking for a lot of variety (maybe people that do freelance work on clients) I think the premade palette is great but it just wasn't for me.
The smartest way to do it is to get the 9 eyeshadow starter kit and then add any other extra colors you want. I'm pretty sure most if not all of the 9 colors in the kit was mentioned in this video!
I have watched this video more than 3 times a few other videos and I keep adding stuff to my MakeupGeek cart....totaling up to $200.

When you say this will look good on everybody I hope you are including us women of color with darker complexions! it can be really hard to find colors that suit us and a lot of makeup companies completely forget about us when making foundation colors but thats a whole different story but yeah just wanted to double check that you are keeping us in mind! love you!

You should do a series of tutorials for specific skin tones/eye colors
I know most your tutorials could look good on anyone, but it's hard to imagine the looks on other people
So like for example, find a friend or a client who's willing to film with you who's very very pale and has lighter eyes, and show an ideal look with ideal products for them, as well as someone who's darker or has darker eyes or whatever it may be c:
