Good cheap foods for monster fish are.....Koi pellets,Generic Cheerio's,Corn- the vegetarian types like Pacu's love corn. Beef Heart and gelatin mix..old formula's are out there. Cooked Oat meal- a bit messy but good for fish too.Cooked ( microwaved in 3 minutes, who's got time to boil?) Broccoli is another that those Metynnis will love. Summer Zucchini is a good one too.

I only have 9 red hooks growing out.
Cancertrain my 7 grow out thin bars are in my pond and are growing rapidly but the wide bars in my tank are catching up real fast. I uploaded a video of my new stocklist here on youtube yesterday.
WOW! Awesome tank! I think this has got to be the best tank I've seen. I've never seen a lot of these in the same tank. What do the little ones behind the rocks eat? The food looks as big as some of them lol! I can't see the other's leaving them any to pick at.

Those melanistic Clownknifes with Arowana's in a painted black bottom giant Aquarium?..I could look at that for ages. Some clown loaches for a dab of color. No need for blood pressure pills.

WOW never knew you could feed them hotdogs
John Knopp don't be so excited, it's a good end cheap solution for monsters like this, but I don't recommend to doing it in your personal aquarium specially if you don't have a good filtration system, it's can poison your water.

What you're doing is great, but hot dogs? That can't be good for them.
This was years ago. We now have big pellets that replaced them at feeding now
i am not trying to be a hater but just curious hotdogs? that can't be good for them they aren't good for humans - tasty but not good for us

The tank is too small
