I never saw him on General Hospital, but I worked with Johnny on an independent film shoot last year. A very decent guy… helpful, humble, friendly. He cooked breakfast for the whole crew when there was no budget for catering. And he was a real pro on set. It’s hard to imagine anyone would do this to him. Very, very sad.

It's not just because many crimes go unreported or they don't bother arresting the culprits, but because many localities have changed the way they report crime and thus the data gathering isn't as comprehensive or complete. If you look at the victimization surveys though, it does show it's up in many places, and NONE of these blue cities' crime rates have gone back down to pre-2020 levels.

I am am ER nurse here in LA (second busiest ER in the country. I carry and even have allowance to bring my weapon into the hospital in case it is needed. LA is a cess pool and I am leaving this summer after living here 30 years. Libs have ruined this state!

he was a lovely person. warm and embracing. funny, kind, caring, smart, very chivalrous. he had this infectious kind of personality that you instantly felt like he was a life long friend. he just had this spark and the desire to be as genuine to others as he could. i'm honored to have met him a few times and to have shared some awesome fun laughing memories with him.

Coworker of mine had a similar experience in broad daylight in Oklahoma at a grocery market car park. He wasn't shot but had to replace the converter. Apparently it's a thing everywhere.

The LAPD is babysitting the graffitied Oceanwide Plaza which is just a few blocks north of where this happened on a 24/7 schedule, even tho DeLeon (city council) said it's not their job to look after a private property development.

There NEEDS to be a new law signed immediately that if you accept used catalytic converters you will go to jail. That would stop this immediately. Every converter needs to be new and a serial number can be identified, anyone buying one needs to report it if a used one is installed and doesn't match a registry of new ones that are in a system. Or else, this will keep going on.

Daytime TV does not pay that well. While you are currently on a daytime tv show, it is good money, but it is not like you can live off of it for years and years. Bartending at night is good supplemental income for actors. Some folks make up to $500 a night in tips depending on where you work.
Yep , very common for actors to work side jobs like bartending. Worked with a guy in NYC years ago who was on plenty of TV shows and has since gotten bigger roles on bigger shows. He was constantly going to auditions trying to secure his next job and was working as a market vendor for quick cash in between his auditions.

A tragic loss for nothing crime is really getting out of hand
This is because our state has become so liberal and our current DA isn’t prosecuting crimes. This catalytic converter craze is out of control, and nothing seems to stop it. If these people are found will they actually bring charges, even though is was murder? With this DA and his team highly unlikely. Crime has risen across all LA county.
But these crimes are happening in other states too right? A friend of mine had her catalytic converter stolen in Texas, so it’s nothing to do with liberals.
@@ffotograffydd but in Los Angeles our DA has a no bail policy, so criminals are basically booked and out of jail the same day. Plus there are more group lefts. Like a smash mob. So if they Rob say, a jewelry store each person might be under they legal amount of grand theft and again if they are caught they are basically booked for the crime and that’s it. Crime is clearly bad in California, it’s 5th in the league table, but not because of liberal laws, which was my point. Most countries in Europe are far more liberal than even the most liberal state in the USA, yet most of them still have lower crime.
If Americans want to reduce crime, and especially violent crime, they need to look at the actual causes rather than just blame the political leanings of those in charge, because honestly, America just has right-wing and more extreme right-wing. Condolences to his family. I can't imagine the horror of finding out your beautiful son was killed like he was. So incredibly sad. I hope they find the killers and lock them up forever. Actors are contractors and its an ongoing struggle to find new roles, with cost of living these days everyone is working extra job. I still cant wrap my mind around the fact that he got shot over a catalyst converter. LA is not safe!

Are you seriously trying to convince me, that in Los Angles, there were no outdoor security cameras on and working or traffic cameras??? I don't buy that, and Tesla's have cameras so if one was parked nearby, it may have captured something. One of the businesses in the area of that bar has to have footage, alarms do little to deter criminals, but they do blink if there are cameras. Traffic cameras could tie a vehicle to the area passing through one area but not being seen exiting the area for a prescribed amount of time, and at the hour of the bar closing it would be reduced traffic, narrowing the possibilities. And police in my area generally patrol areas where bars are located at closing time, to deter drunk driving and robbery or assaults. Here in my state you can not sell a converter without the vehicle it came from, only repair shops that replace defective ones can legally sell that part without the vehicle. A man dies because of lack of law and proper patrols, he still had more than half his life to live out. To the criminals, I pray they find you, and better yet that you try to fire a gun and save the taxpayers some money.

And this is the saddest thing I've seen in those years I've seen him in a commercial jogging and I thought as at him and I'm sure it was I think it was a marathon.
