Steve Rinella and Janis Putelis compete to see who can give the hottest tip. Topics covered include cooling meat in the field and homemade fire starters.
I read somewhere along the lines and I wanna say it was in “fifty years a hunter and trapper” by Eldred Nathaniel Woodcock; that folks would actually sink their meat in deeper holes in the creeks or rivers to keep cool for slightly longer lengths of time. Not sure if that’s the source so don’t judge, but either way love the tips, books, and everything these folks do for the sport. Keep em coming boys!
Great top guys. I’ve already burned through your Netflix season twice now. When can we expect some more videos? And also which episode was your favorite Steven?
I can say from experience that chew tins are not in fact waterproof. Maybe if you wrap the rim with electrical tape. I've spent many days fishing in a river with a tin of soggy chew in my waders. Not a terrible thing for chew but might be a different story for a fire starting kit.
Both are great! Thank you!

I vote for Janis'
and bears use creeks as travel corridors, great tip
I'm thankful you used the word tin, I've purchased chew in the south, and they at you like your crazy when you use the word "tin"
How did the fire kit not make it as the title? That is a great tip! I like the creek tip too, heard it before but like it.

Only twice? Those are rookie numbers.
You can also use dryer lint and wax or Vaseline

I love the bromance look Janis gives when Steve says to use the vaseline for lubricant. #nohomo
Dryer lint inside a toilet paper tube with Vaseline works great as well.
