Im doing the rice diet… no salt, fruit juice, sugar, and fruit. I add Sugar to the rice to make it tastier. Amazing results …I always thought I was bloating… but reducing the salt I lost 5kg water weight mainly (around the abdomen )in 6 days and I’m now 76 kg.. found some other you tubers how had the same result. Also rtaking out salt helped my taste buds become more sensitive and food craving have fizzled out to be manageable.
the type of salt matters too
I don’t use soy sauce on rice, but I have used barbecue sauce (no fat) and Chinese spicy garlic sauce (with oil) and when I do it with the Chinese sauce, I feel like shit that day and the next day. I’ve learned that the more sodium I have, the worse I feel. I do best with 1g/day or less.
I am the same with salt, although it has been so hot here lately that I may have to up the salt a bit. I was out in the 100 degree heat for 10 hours and my mood was so so
Very good video. I totally get what you mean about “just do it.” And “you ain’t doing it.” I work as a full time musician. And I tour a lot. The people I work with have almost no understanding of what I am doing with my diet. And they aren’t helpful (even though they try) when it comes to me finding food. I finally had to just start taking a rice cooker with me everywhere. The touring season has ended for the year. I’ve only got a couple more road shows booked. So, I should be able to be extra strict on the rice diet for the next three months. And, yes, I am using soy sauce. I’ll let you know how this turns out.
Cool have fun with it!!
Just an update. Still eating only rice, fruit, fruit juice and water. (I do use some seasoning with a bit of salt.). I keep shrinking steadily. And I feel great. I’m eventually going to some before and after photos.
@@JazzBear💪going strong. I am starting the same.
Glad you're aware of Gerson. Its a very successful therapy. I spent a week in San Diego studying the protocol.
The rice cdiet proves how far off the mark most doctors are.
Keep up the good work
100%
I just lost 3kg in 30 hours doing the rice diet ... this guy is all over the place
You can use fermented coconut sap, also known as coconut aminos, instead of soy sauce and I find that it's less salty.
That is some good stuff for sure!
Hey Ryan, I rewatched this one. Gonna attempt the Dr. Kempner diet plan. I am very active so I won’t be counting or restricting calories. I will follow the recommended foods and see how it goes. Best wishes.
Awesome hope it goes well
The power of pen and paper compared to typing on a keyboard is almost incomparable in terms of absorbing information. Back in school people who would study by typing on their iPad and phones did not remember the information as well as someone who literally wrote the words down. People have gotta get back to the days of literally writing on a calendar as opposed to typing everything on their phone. Same goes for diet, things like Cronometer can be handy for calculating if you're getting enough carbs and to see where your fat is at for the day, but writing it down is more powerful, even if you copy what you've typed in. It's the physical aspect of writing something
100% I have never even owned an iPad or equivalent because I never want to get to that point, and I don't like laptop type things haha. The act of writing wires things into the brain. None of these things were around when I was in school haha.
"I don't think sucrose occurs much in nature" haha it's in loads of things - sugar cane, and sugar beet for starters and fruit.
Cool, I knew sugar cane but I always think more fructose and glucose for most other things.
They add salt to the soy to ferment it. You can do it with vinegar but if your soy sauce tastes salty, it’s because they added it in to ferment it.
I should have clarified, I meant to say I don't think they also add salt into the mixture, I believe the salt is all from fermenting process.
We just bought a sweet soy sauce from our Japanese market, haven’t tried it yet but it sounds so interesting
Sounds great! What's in it?
@@highcarbregenerator sugar, soy, alcohol, water, salt
When I do the rice diet I am like you I don't do it as strict as the regular rice diet. I add fruit and veggies and a litte bit of salad dressing. I also make a rice pudding for a change once in a while. I don't add salt as I have high blood pressure. No oil added. There is a bit added to the salad dressing.I lost 6 lbs the first week I was on it. I do OMAD. Now I just need to add exercise into it.
I would stay away from omad
@@highcarbregeneratorwhats wrong with omad?
I could easily do the rice diet after my recent Costco purchase of Bachan's Japanese BBQ sauce-so addictive and I'm pretty sure that goes against the point of the diet. I've been thinking about historic diets a lot lately. I'm doing pre-history/ancient history with my kids for homeschool right now and we were reading about Paleolithic and then neolithic era and how agriculture allowed people to settle and expand their families. Reading Weston Price stuff made me ditch veganism a long time ago, which lead to keto, which lead to carnivore, which led me back to Whole Foods veganism. Now I'm thinking I read and understood it wrong. Actually, I know I did if I somehow got to carnivore from WAPF. Also, what is the actual natural diet for Irish people if potatoes were a recent import (in scope of history)? Lol just a ramble for the algorithm.
Irish ate Oats, Wheat, Barley. It is a very good place to grow all three especially oats. I will have to look for this BBQ sauce for sure. Meat would have not been a staple in the diet.
@@highcarbregenerator right, I vaguely remember reading about keeping the fermented oats in a drawer or something like that. My parents did those DNA kits and (no surprise as I'm a pale redhead) I'm basically 100% Irish. How I got from Irish ancestry to thinking I should do the "lion diet" is beyond me--I'll claim temporary insanity.
They didn't have that sauce at costco, they had it at wf but it was $9 a bottle
@@annemorph I have a soft spot for pale redheads I must admit. Yes well the Irish do tend to be more than temporarily insane anyways.
@@highcarbregenerator it was $9 at Costco but for 27oz. I looked later and the typical store size is 12oz. I'd never pay $9 for 12 oz, and normally I'm too cheap to purchase any expensive sauces, but I guess I was just riding the high of cheap frozen organic fruit at Costco and decided to splash out lol.
I would add soy sauce or Himalayan salt, I would follow a standard serving size.
So, does the rice diet include cucumber and avocado which are fruit 🤔?
Interesting, the only fruits that I have seen mentioned are citrus. This is where things have gotten a little fuzzy, no one ever talks about what fruits he added.
If you only eat rice, how are you going to get choline? Or its similiar component betaine? Fruits and potatoes contain choline the whole grains contain betaine.
Rice, sugar, fruit, fruit juice.
@@highcarbregenerator sugar was for the ones who were dying and so skinny that is not the weight loss part of his. You have the wrong book. honest. check out The Rice Diet Report or the Rice Diet Solution
Whole grains feels better in the gut than white flour or white rice, but doesn't taste as great in the mouth
That is why he went with white rice! He knew it was very palatable
@@dj-fe4ck whole wheat in bread is good but pasta not so much. Oats I like but I could eat an entire tub of them and be hungry an hour later.
Just don’t restrict yourself to just rice. I find I get bored of it sometimes and feel like bread and pasta hit that spot better
Same
This was for those looking for info on the original Rice Diet, there was none of that included haha. I get what you are saying.
Because of Russia...😂😂😂😂
Sorry, I know that wasn't the point but cracked me up😂
Haha you have to be subtle these days.
The diet and dating comparison 😅
haha
I just put celery seed on
good stuff
I like rice and natto
What is natto?
@@highcarbregenerator fermented sticky soya beans (very famous in Japan)
@@anir8023 wow haven't seen those in a while never tried them
Some time ago I search in youtube: I eat only rice a week. And results is lying. They eat whatever with rice. Truth is nobody here in youtube didn`t do it. Why lying in the in the video title? I dont understand that stupidity. Not so hard to eat ONLY rice. I try it. First I must eat other food, that they did not spoil. After that I eat only rice a week. Maybe longer if I feel so.
Hope you like rice only!
