I appreciate your video. We just got the ZV-E10, while other CZcams videos are more technical in setting up the camera, they don't go into the practical use of the camera like you do, which I like and is very usevul.
Hi Sierra, I’ve recently got this ZV e-10 too, it’s my first camera and I’m loving it so far. Just checking, do you usually change your video settings whenever you changes environment, I’ve watched several hours of these reviews and they be doing all that teccky stuff with the settings. I cba to do it but I’d like to know your experience so far. I also find a problem with the S&Q thing.
Yeah no lol. I don’t have time for that 😂. I feel like unless you are making like a student film it’s not really necessary. So far I have left it on the Intelligence Auto (4k 24p) and it has been working beautifully for me. I would just say to make sure that you are well lit so that the lighting won’t go in and out on you (like at the end of this video for me). The only time I would consider changing it to manual is for b-roll and then put it back to IA once I’m done. Yeah the S&Q is really cool but I have to triple check that I’m in the right setting now 🥲 EDIT: if you accidentally record in slow motion you can recover the footage by recording with an external audio source and speeding up the clip! When I recorded myself going to Kings Island (shameless self promotion) I recorded in S&Q and I was able to speed the footage up in FCP the only thing that was missing was the audio. If I had a mic I would’ve been able to fully recover it.
@@its.justsierra_ it’s happened to me a few times now, and I just speed it back up to 4x in fcpx but lose the audio unfortunately. I don’t know how you’ll go about retrieving the audio if you connected a mic¿
*It's a Nice Camera, I had the Original ZV-1. It's a Simple camera. What lens have you gotten with it? If ya haven't gotten a 2nd Lens I'd think about the Sigma 16mm or the Sony 11mm which I made a CZcams Shorts on. I can help ya on that Light Situation if ya don't mind, but nice review*
Absolutely! The quality of pictures and video on this camera are amazing. I personally don’t think the factory settings are the best but once you figure out your own settings, whether that be by trial and error or looking it up on CZcams (which I did lol), it will produce a fantastic final product. A few people don’t like the kit lens I don’t see a problem with it, I’ve been using it the past few months and love it. I just got the sigma 16mm, which people prefer that lens on this camera so, we shall see what happens! B&H have a pretty good payment system if price is an issue.
B&H is a video and photo equipment shop. They have brick and mortars (physical stores) or obviously online which is how I got mine! And trust me if anything doesn’t perform well without extra attachments, we have a problem lol especially with that price point

At the beginning of the video it’s actually just the mic from my iPhone 13 and for the rest of the video I’m using the mic built into the Sony ZV-E10!
