- Come take a ride with us on the 2022 Lowrider ST! We are testing out everything from acceleration, fit, power, and how well the fairing really works as we ride into a 40mph headwind on the highway. We have been excited to ride this bike ever since Harley announced it and we were not disappointed! We ran the 2022 Lowrider St all over the streets and highways of Idaho Falls to give it a proper shake down. Let us know what you think down in the comments.

Always great to hear a review from someone that's really enjoying the ride .great review .
Glad you enjoyed it!
Life-long cruiser/Softail rider. Last October I traded in my beloved Softail Custom for a "grown-up" Street Glide. I do like the music. I think I've used the nav system 3 or 4 times...going to places where I already knew the directions. First time to our 'local' I stopped the Street Glide on the street, turned the handlebars and started walking it into the parking lot. This thing has 100+ more pounds than I've ridden on all my other bikes. See this Low Rider ST come out...studied up on it....I ordered one and will trade in the Street Glide.
Congrats! We hope you enjoy your new bike when it arrives.
That's the problem with the big tourers, just too dam heavy and not needed, particularly for UK roads.
The fairing is a win for me.
I think that roadglide dudes will love it and streetglide dudes dont. At least i would prefer one aftermarket
Me too. But 2 different sized bags is absurd and a deal breaker. Ridiculous and lazy engineering. Looks stupid.
I enjoyed your style of commentary. Great bike too, for the younger guys mostly. Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it
Great video and great review. Love how motor cycles turn us into kids. I'm with on the simplicity of the fairing and cluster. if you wear a full face, you can just get a Cardo and a phone mount. Makes it easy.
Thank you for sharing and thank you for watching ! Truly nothing like bringing out the kid in all of us then riding a motorcycle!
I do like it. My only real
Annoyance is it doesn’t have the optional RDRS from the touring family. With the biggest production engine it should have it as an option at least.
Nice vid. What are you using for a camera? Resolution is really good. Thanks.
Go Pro HERO 10
I will definitely want some forward controls and wish they had at least placed a small color screen for navigation and gauges. Other than that, it'll still be my next bike!
Definitely an awesome bike!! Great choice with forwards on! Hope to see you on one soon!! 🔥🔥
I ride 21 low rider s 114. Thinking of saddlebag like the on 22 st model. But smaller size of right side than left is concern. So I am waiting for the same size right bag.
Hopefully you don’t have to wait too long!
I really want to check one of these out, but no dealer anywhere within a couple hundred miles of me has one, and won't get one any time soon... guess I am still waiting...
It can be a waiting game for certain bikes but with this one the wait is sooo worth it! Hope you can get one soon!
Yo bro!! coming out of East Sussex in UK...just got a 23 model. bang on with ol' skool maps...cant be doing with all the sat nav etc...like wild hogs....get out and ride...leave all that other crap behind. Still running mine in and boy she flies now!!! just the front light look is weird. Would have like a twin fox look to really set her off....but man...what a hoot. 1948cc in a lowrider frame, 1 inch more sus travel. She handles, leans and pulls. i think Harley are onto a winner......Safe riding Dude!!! Martin.
Enjoy!
Bought mine and I love it. Thing rips! Barley touch the bars and it just leans.
Glad to hear you're enjoying it!
I own one of these Low rider ST's. For me, the mid controls have to go. Waiting on a forward control kit which has been on backorder for months. I am in the process of buying the parts needed to install the Thrasin Supply 9.5" risers.
Great risers! And the switch to forwards is a must for some! Hope you get lots of fun riding in on your new Low Rider ST!!🙌🔥
@@grandtetonharley-davidson8690 yeah, i’m an old guy with shot knees. I also own a roadglide limited. I guess i am trying to re-live my youth with the ST lol
Going to sign paperwork for one tomorrow I haven't felt this way since I was a little kid Night Before Christmas
Congrats!
Fuck yah its worth it best harley i ever road
You mentioned putting a cam in it but Harley Screaming Eagle parts listing does not seem to offer a cam for the 117. It has a Power cam in it now but no Harley Torque cam is available in the Harley catalog. Unless you can find it? They do list something but do not tell what it does and sounds like it is for a 131?
I saw the cam listed as the CVO cam but couldn’t figure out what that equaled in terms of the SE stage 2.
@@chrissmith7669 Me too. For the 114 you can find the Harley Screamin Eagle Torque cam and Power cam but for the 117 it lists a Screamin' Eagle SE8-515 Cam - Milwaukee-Eight Engine for the Stage IV Kit? Then says, ''The cam’s high lift and long duration profile is ideal for opening the valves to efficiently fill the combustion chamber of larger displacement engines.'' But what does it do and does it change the RPM power curve? Maybe best just to leave stock for now.
The 117 cam is a 432 cam which is capable of producing higher torque than the "Screamin’ Eagle Milwaukee-Eight stage ll Torque kit” for the 114. So by installing it you will gain slight horsepower but lose torque.
The 131 motor cam is a 515. Which requires headwork to allow the valves clearance for the extra height on the cam. We don't have a torque cam that can swap in and gain performance from HD. It will just put the bike into a middle ground where it's not faster off the line and not pulling horsepower like the bigger stage 2 HD cam. But if you want to void your factory warranty you can go with an aftermarket tuner but will make the bike emissions fail if they are regulated in your state.
@@grandtetonharley-davidson8690 Perfect, wonderful description of what I have been trying to find out and you are the only person to be able to answer the question. Thank You very much, I understand now.
@@ericjames7680 it sounds like the low riders come with close to stage 2+ parts, better exhaust, not only air cleaner but larger TB and manifold and a nice came. Makes me scratch my head about what would be the most cost effective update from there. The path doesn’t seem clear
I just bought one this morning
Congratulations you’re going to absolutely love it!! 🔥🔥
How do u like it
Nice bike but ( subjective ) the display on the Gauge looks small... a Touch screen or traditional layout would look better....
Definitely to each there own🤙. When I got on the bike I was worried about readability but found it to be everything I needed and nothing I didn’t. -Zac
@@grandtetonharley-davidson8690 Right on!
I’ve got the display on my Street Bob. I would prefer a couple big analog gauges but it’s surprisingly readable in all conditions.
Nice bike but it could do without that goofy plastic piece on the tank..
To each their own!
bags look awful one is high and the other sits low
The bags sit at the same height 👍
One is big and the other because of the dual exhaust is smaller. Kinda goofy looking but not like a guy can't change em for other ones after like a person ends up doing with almost every single stock HD part on a bike. haha.
@@grandtetonharley-davidson8690 you obviously haven't looked it over very well. The exhaust side bag is shorter because of the 2 into 2 exhaust.
That ugly slab of matt black plastic on the tank... Yuk!! 🤮
Good thing you can always customize 🔥
It's not Harley-Davidson for me if the gage and switch is not on a fuel tank like Road King. That would be old school Harley with modern engine. 🥱🥶
The Road King is classic for sure. Good thing they still have all of that on the 2022 Road Kings!
