The WTA MATCH OF 2022 as voted by fans!!! 🗳🍿 Do you agree? 👇
No
Of course! It's a no contest honestly.
Should make availabe Top 5 matches for the off seaso!n
Yes, of course! 👍
This and Kaja Juvan vs Angie Kerber are my fav matches of the year.
I totally agree that it was the match of the year. Wonderful rallies, amazing tension and incredible support and atmosphere from the Czech-Polish crowd in a city on the border of both countries. What could be more? It's just a shame that Krejcikova is so underrated, maybe because she's not a typical "mainstream" player, doesn't have many sponsors, doesn't have a model face and didn't break through until later in life. But she's a great player.
We need Babs for a great rivalry on top!
the model face really got to me lol, i think she's still living it up and focused on her tennis because she's not distracted by sponsors.
Barbora may be Some What underrated by the media, but she, like everyone else, are otherwise where she and they all belong regarding rating.
You all use the word underrated the wrong way.
Every tennis player can't get every moment of media coverage.
They are rated right where they belong, generally speaking.
and horrible tennis. Iga is one the greatest fake #1 of all times, it's a joke. Nothing against her, she is super nice and a good player, but please, that game is so bad
@@windwaveswindwaves5329 Horrible is a bit harsh but it was not great. If this is all the WTA has to offer then I just don't see how it can survive. I was bored. I don't see how they can continue to ask for pay equality. If they separate the majors between ATP and WTA, you will see much much less interest in WTA. Mauresmo is right.
This match was so good, that I was not even disappointed to see Iga lose. Both players were fantastic. Krejcikova kept Iga on her toes (the cold and sniffles notwithstanding) - it was a joy to watch.
they have taken women's tennis to highly competitive new level. it simply entertains.
I think this match is the most exciting game this year in WTA. I love this game so much. Thank you for supporting the full match video.
From France, une finale magnifique, suspens garantie ! 😃
Barbora is just AMAZING! I’m a Swiatek’s fan, but gosh! Krejcikova was UNBELIEVABLE. Do you know at what level was IGA playing on those weeks/months? It was like beating Nadal on Clay or beating Djokovic on an AO final.
Wonderful match from two of my fave rave players.I am also fascinated by Iga’s gamesmanship…every trick in the book from butter -wouldn’t -melt-Iga….love it!What a pleasure to watch!
What a MATCH!!!!! Despite it is replay it was very exiting anyway. I love Iga. She is absolutely amazing. Congrads for Krejcikova.
Iga I love you I need you I am waiting for you love ❤️❤️❤️
Excente Nivel de Tennis,Felicitaciones !!
What a match ! Congratulations to both players 👏👏👏👏
That was a great match. Love both players ❤
One of the best matches of the year and one of the best tournaments. In Ostrava there was a better attendance than for example in Madrid. But the WTA for 2023 decided to cancel the tournament in Ostrava in favor of tournaments in China, where interest will be mediocre. But the WTA is greedy for money as always.
Barbora has no fear unlike others when she faces swiatek. Her varieties and resilience makes her game more powerful.
Ostapenko and Elena Rybakina they dont have fear when face Iga too
What a fantastic match! Truly!
I'm watching from Paraguay. Amazing match.
Barbora, congratulations! I have been waiting for this a long time.
Incredible 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
..... wonderful performance by the Czech. 💐
Well deserved!!!😍 Love all🥰
Well played guys!
Both players left it all on the court...plus a cliff-hanger at the end! Tht's how u have to play to beat Iga, but my heart was with Barbora as the game progressed n by the last game I was willing her to win, n even said BIG SERVE, which she did! Well deserved win👍🏾👏🏾❤🖤
Wonderful match - it'll go down in history. Congratulations to Barbora & also to Iga. And no screeching!
Wht an amazing game
I'm supporting Crejcikova. .Happy to look this match again.
Her name is Krijcikova
@@barbaraakinbowale4456 Krejcikova 🙂
My fav match!!
Gotta love this match!
Hello
I am watching from Indonesia
Ee match icchina kick vere level 🤩😎
Big WTA fail if Ostrava doesn't remain a permanent fixture on the tour.
And yet so many empty seats..
@@markoshun you are blind, this arena has capacity of over 10k people btw
I hope they don't keep the tournament there. But they will because they love cheating for iga.
@@markoshun Don't know if seats sold were what the organizers expected (though it was sold out for this), the tennis itself was absolutely absorbing. The 2 Semi Finals, Kvitova-Badosa, Muchova-McNally amongst others, were thrilling.
@@LuanNguyen-ei9sm I noticed it was mostly the premium boxes that were sitting empty. I think sometimes companies buy those for their customers but then don’t show. Too bad, best seats, great tennis. Maybe they can have less boxes next time.
it's not live however still like it 😊
I love how the commenters kept saying "World No. 1", "Only the World No. 1" etc when Swiatek was winning, then just "Swiatek" when she was losing.
Super mecz! Brawo IGA !
Please bring igas full match french open 2020!!!!
WTA doesn't post Grand slam matches
I simply love Barbora!!! Great techniques, she is strong and smart. I'm glad she won.
Congratulations Barbora, well done 👍
Buenísimas las dos
😂
the best game by Barbora ever!
any translation please for the ceremony speeches?? Im not polish
Is LIVE???
no!
GO BARBORA!!!!!!
Deseo gane SWIATEK
Swiatek was INVINCIBLE in finals for the most part. Not only was she winning them all, she wasnt losing a set and in many cases barely lost games. Then the US open final showed a turning point....Swiatek being pushed......had to fight through a tight tough set but got there. Then this happened and my goodness Krejcikova really had to work to get this one done. Needed 6 match points, at least 3 saved by Swiatek line clippers.
Thats how tough it is to beat her in a final. The final game sort of reminds me of the bercy final, Rune needed a super long game, saved 6 break points before finally getting over the line vs Djokovic, Krejcikova needing 6 championship points here to get the job done.
You misunderstand what happened in the US Open. Iga was playing very badly in the US Open and was lucky to even get to the final, her match against Jabeur was by far her best match in the US Open and her best match since Roland Garros. Krejcikova just beat Iga at her near best because Krejcikova is that good.
@@westonmeyer3110 She did not play very badly by any means apart from the first set and early stages of the 2nd vs Niemeier in R4. Her fighting spirit got her back into that and mentally overwhelmed Niemeier. Outplayed Pegula, then outlasted Sabalenka who was playing really well after what was an up and down season for Aryna. Then in the final fought her way across the line and played extremely well. The Swiatek Krej final here was a true epic. She might not have played as well as she did at FO, but her mental strength carried her to the title.
@@james-vx7nv
Before the US Open Iga had lost every other match for like the last 8 matches, she was nowhere near her best at that point and she was just scraping by in her matches up to Niemeier in the US Open and after that match she got mentally stronger but her level was not improving until the final and even then she was not yet back at her best. Jabeur was like the 3rd easiest match Swiatek had in the US Open, she was not really pushed at all.
@@westonmeyer3110 Between her FO and USO title runs, she had 6 wins and 4 losses. Dipped a bit yes, but stayed mentally tough when it mattered most at USO. Djokovic has won plenty of Masters and slams without playing anywhere near his best. How? By staying mentally tougher than his opponent. 2nd set in the USO final Jabeur did challenge her, but Swiatek found a way and was a very deserving champion.
I am in Madagascar
congratulations
100%%%%%%%%%
Barbora's forehead is v distracting, but good game from both
No. The WTA match of the year was Swiatek/Samsonova. A closer match. Samsonova played probably the best match of her life. Swiatek was forced to go extremely deep to pull out the win. In the Krejcikova match, Swiatek could not find her game in the first set. Was extraordinary in the second. Tired in the third. Moreover, 2022 was Swiatek's year. It does not make sense to pick a match that she lost as the "match of the year."
Let's face the truth - Krejcikova would have never won this match if Swiatek was healthy. She got lucky. End of story.
how good is discredtiing success?
@@wild3estdreams10 That's more luck than success.
@@black.cake1 Krejcikova still won
MAXIMUM RANGE, OF AN EXCUSE ZERO METERS?????🤔🤔🤔.
When umpires and lines people can't cheat for Iga, against a good player her chances of losing are 50/50. I am so glad when she loses, not because of her, but because the people in power cheating for her (namely most of the 2022 year). Shots close to the line are called out on her opponents but the same close shots are called IN for her. Double bounce shots are ignored by umpires and allow her to return them either for winners or for another chance at a point. After Garcia beat her (in Poland I think), they stopped putting Garcia in the same half-draw in the following tournaments in hopes for Garcia to lose before they meet. They place the low seeds who can pose a threat to Iga also in the other half-draw. Most of 2022 they did this. These things have given her the confidence and motivation needed to go for shots many times where other players wont, not as many times. "End of story."
Sad how not a single matched nominated year was played at a slam. The state of women's tennis is not good.
I think it was specifically not involved in the survey

Whats wrong with the new tennis generation? Is this the result of that all TICTOC stuff? They are absolutely charismaless. No charakters. No persons. ANIME at all.
Go watch the WWE or MMA for that.

"...where the losing party..."? If that were so, 0ga would not have cried due to LOSING.
