“The woman is wild, oooooooo oooo ooh”. Daryl’s voice is .... just. perfect.
Ooooooooooo
😂👍🏻💖
SCREAMMMMMMING when you kept rewinding the one part, “Ohh but, it’s wild..Ooooooohhhhhh” had me rolling😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
"The woman is wild. Wooohooooooo" ❤
People always look at me weird when They find out I listen to this kind of music. I’m a ‘96 baby but I can still appreciate music that came before my time. Any time I hear that bass line my ears perk up and I stop whatever I’m doing.
My daughters same way she was born 1997 and LOVES all the older music. I taught her well. 😉
My son knew who Bobba Fett was when he was 6. I made him watch the old Transformers animated movie as a chore!
People get shocked when I listen to 80s music & I tell them I was born in 96’ like I love my 80s music bruh lol
Mid 80s baby
Always been told I'm young with a old soul
And I Love it
Keep rockin bro
FWIW Daryl Hall hates the term “blue eyed soul”. He always responds by saying that soul has no color.
I don't doubt that. He's right of course, but it denies the historical reality that "Soul Music" was a style associated with only black singers and groups for a very long time-long before Hall & Oates came along. This was a time when there wasn't a lot of cross-over of black music on radio stations; but thank God that changed quickly in the 60s or my musical landscape would not have been as rich. The first time I heard "Blue-eyed soul" applied to any non-black performer was with The Righteous Brothers in the early 60s. (I don't claim they were the first; only the first time I heard the term) First time listeners- of any color - of those two thought they were a black duo, and were surprised that the singing was coming from a couple of blue-eyed white dudes. Even in today's reactions on CZcams, you see the surprise on the faces the great black reactors on this channel to those early videos of The Righteous Bros.
I don't understand, to me, it's a compliment! Look at Michael Bolton, Michael McDonald!
“The woman is wild!” ....that’s what he said 😬
Yes! “The woman is wild ooooo”
thats what i wanted to say everytime he replayed it and didnt know what the words were lol...i love the reaction
“Woman is wild ooohhh” this is the best reaction video I’ve seen in a while. I wasn’t even 10 yet but my dad used to play the hell out of hall and Oates.
My kids can relate!
"She's Gone", "One On One", their song most sampled, "I Cant Go For That', and "Rich Girl". All should be next by these guys.
Private Eyes...
These reactions are showing that the 80’s music stood the test of time.
The saxophone player is Charlie dechamps. John plays guitar.
Close enough :)
Coming to see yall in sept in Tampa meet and greet
He is one mean saxophone player!
‘The woman is wild wooooo’ 🎶
Daryl just turned 73 and he still sounds amazing! Check out, Live From Daryl's House. So many great singers go there to play with him.
His voice has aged like fine wine and the brother is still as cool as ever! Definitely a rabbit hole that should be explored!
I have been listening to this song since I was a child in the 80's
The 80’s were a magical time!! We brought the magic!! Right?!!
@@sharonburcham25 Most definitely
I feel sorry for anyone who didn't grow up in the 80's! I feel blessed🙌
@@shirleyallen5178 yes!! I agree
Looks similar but the dude in the meme you are talking about is Rick Astley
Cracked me up. I knew exactly.
yeah, rick-rollin' !!.....LOL
@@cindyshawver9986 A bunch of reviewers actually got rick rolled in 2020, the meme came back around briefly.
'Wohoo..ooo..oo..oo!' Daryl makes anything coming out of his mouth pure magic!
“The woman is wild wooooo!!! Epic!! Lol
Daryl's voice is smooth as butter.
Must hear:
Rich Girl
I Can't Go for That
She's Gone
You Make My Dreams Come True
Out of Touch
One on One
Kiss on my List
That is the list.
She’s Gone, One on One, You Make My Dreams Come True, I Cant Go For That...just a few Hall and Oats bangers you should check out!
🎶
Hall & Oates is such a vibe.
Just good time music right here.
With that said, Rich Girl is a short jam from them.
Can't go wrong with H&O. Love love love your reactions. I'm 65 yrs young and we all grew up to this fab 🎶.
The greatest Pop duo of ALL-TIME. Philly Soul will never go out of style.
Daryl’s solo stuff is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 too
I'm here for it! Let's go Hall and Oats
You haven't lived until you react to Hall & Oats song " One On One " " Kiss Is On My List "
We really did have the best music when we were kids. 80s forever.
When I was a little kid I used to think this song was about a panther that ate men 😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Very few can end a song like Daryl Hall.
Awesome hall and oats song. The saxophone player is awesome too
"The woman is wild! WOOooooo!"
Yah! Know what time it is! The Philly Boy's is in the building! This song was the jam when I was a kid in the 80s. #80s4life ❤
Yes to all things Hall & Oates!!
This is a amazing song 🎵
That's a good song too
Takes me back to being 14 yrs old.
Me and my friends knew all the words! 😂
They had so many Bangers!
LOL @ the 6 Rewinds. 🤣🤣🤣
I think the meme you're thinking of is from Rick Astley's song Never Gonna Give You Up.
Great song. Do it.
My husband’s band used to cover this song back in the day (80’s)... still one of my favorites!
Hall and Oates, seen em live, twice...and yep, he woo-ood just like the recording and the sax player, DeChant was phenomenal!!
❤, H&O.
You should head over to Daryl's House and watch his set up.
Brings in musicians just to jam!!
Love your appreciation of music I grew up with!! ❤
This was one of the earliest instances of Hall and Oats with GE Smith and T-Bone Wolk. The nest of the best - ask SML and Bob Dylan.
This song is a must play at any family gathering. If you want to watch your aunties mommas grandmas start dancing. TAVARES. HEAVEN MUST BE MISSING AN ANGEL.
"..a she-cat tamed by the purr of a Jaguar." (3:33)
I loved this song when I was a kid and I could never figure out what he was saying during that line. (Waaaaaay before Google)
The LEGENDARY Iconic Hall and Oates ❤❤
Bet you would enjoy Hall and Oates at the Apollo Theatre. It's fantastic! Will have you up and dancing.
You would love live at Daryl's House. It's where Daryl Hall will invite different artists into jam with his band. My favorite is cee lo Green doing I Can't Go For that. He did it in one take. It is the funkiest version of I can't go for that I have ever heard. He also has Smokey Robinson and so many others come in. You definitely have to check that out
TBone Is killin that base!!!! RIP
Not sure that anyone has mentioned it yet but back in the day and in most of their videos the back up band for Daryl Hall and John Oates was GE. Smith and the Saturday Night Live band, as the name says they were the band for Saturday night live for many years.
Go deep and check out “Las Vegas turnaround” (also about Sara). Also “It’s a laugh”. Great stuff!
You would like "One on One" by them if you're looking for something more along the lines of "Sara Smile"
Also worth mentioning: "Rich Girl", "Crime Pays," "Family Man", and "I Can't Go for That"
Fun fact about "I Can't Go for That", the intro to it was the inspiration for the beat for "Billie Jean", which came out a year later. You can definitely hear the similarities.
"Family Man" is more of a rock song, but also very good. You mentioned you like solos, and there's a good guitar solo there.
Don’t forget Hall & Oates, Every time you go away.
He's saying, " ooh but it's wild ooh"
The chain song segment is likely from Nine Inch Nails. The extended version of Closer is all chainsaw.
Loved your reaction! Just thank you for keeping "old school" music alive!! :-)
I'm pretty sure the meme you're thinking is Rick Astley "Never Gonna Give You Up"
Darly Hall actually DETESTS the label, "Blue-eyed Soul."
He simply says Soul music is Soul music and transcends color.
That said, he respects the fact that it is BLACK music.
Luv your reactions, thanks for keeping good music alive. BANGERS . Go down this rabbit hole.
"The woman is wild... ooh ooh oohh ooooooh!"
How about some reactions to the recent Rock and Roll hall of Fame inductees, The Doobie Brothers
Listen to the Music
Blackwater
Long Train Running
Taking It to the Streets
What a Fool Believes
Wow...takes me back to the days when MTV was young and all they did was play MUSIC! Nothing like growing up an 80s kid. I still want my MTV!!
New 58yr "young" mom and grandma here, actually meant to sub when I watched your first reaction to Sara✌🏻💞👍🏻
I love that your loving this!😊
You should do Violent Femmes "Blister in the Sun". Awesome song.
Yes a week of Hall and Oats💙🎵🎧🎶🤘
This is just my opinion, but I think what he said was "woman is wild, oooh". That's what it sounded like to me. Enjoyed it.
Do some Huey Lewis and the News for a week. They have some good song too. I like them. I believe you will to.
OK... This reaction made me subscribe to you. It's my 2nd vid of yours. 1st was Sara Smiles, which led me to this. I USUALLY find my new reactors when I search out their reaction to Too Much Heaven by the Bee-Gees. SO, I'm excited to hear that you've reacted to it. I will search it out. I'm going to have fun going through your list. You're awesome. I see why you have 163K subscribers as of this date. I'm happy to be one more.
AND I was blown away about your comment about today's music being covered or re-made later. Such a smart comment! I LOVED it. Though, as an alternate thought : So much of today's music is SO "computer corrected". Maybe someday people will do covers/re-makes, of today's songs, but done "more traditionally". It could end up being a big thing, some years down the road. LOL
Any chance we get one week of HALL and Oates?
All their songs are amazing, love 💘 them. I saw them live last year in Charlotte and they are still great 👍and they still have the same saxophone player.
Produced by Daryl Hall and John Oates. Written by them and Sara Allen.
All-star in the band. Lead guitar by GE Smith from the Saturday Night Live Band.
Drums by Mickey Curry. No relation to Stephen Curry. MC played drums for Steve Jones and Andy Taylor in 1987, The Cult, Alice Cooper and Tom Cochrane. MC quit Hall and Oates. He became the drummer for Bryan Adams.
Then the manager for Hall and Oates was Tommy Mattola. He was promoted to executive. He later married Mariah Carey but got divorced. TM is married to Thalia.
RIP Tom Wolk, bass guitar.
He said in that oooo part “o women wild ooooo”!🤣
Hall and Oates "Rich Girl" is a banger!
Another fact you might not know! That black panther scared the bejeeze out of Darryl - John said in an interview that when they were done filming, Darryl hid in his dressing room! I've seen this video more than once, he was a pro during the filming!
Taken it back to the old school.. This song is such a classic I remember going to the Rollerskating rink and rolling skating to this.. Thank you for sharing😍
Loved your reaction to "the woman is wild, woo". Awesome!
I haven't seen this video yet, you probably know this already, the song started out as John Oates was in a bar ( drop dead gorgeous woman) who he said had the mouth of a sailor. John was playing some notes, they changed it - the song is actually about NYC, "It will chew you up"
Please listen to "live at daryls house". Daryl Hall invited famous musicians to jam with him - one of the best songs "i can't go for that" feat. Cee Lo Green. if i am not completey wrong Daryl was OVER 70!!!! years old playing that session. you won't believe your ears, i promise!
Fun fact: this song is about NYC and how the city eats you up and turns you into a completely different person (was about a women at first though) but changed they’re direction.
Love seeing you react to Charlie DeChant’s Saxophone! He’s known as Mr Casual and is one of the greatest sax players ever♥️ Hall and Oates are the GOAT!
You should check out Live from Daryl's House. Hall would bring in guests and perform songs with them. Some amazing stuff with guests like Wyclef Jean, Cheap Trick, Joe Walsh, Butch Walker, CeeLo Green, Todd Rundgren
Def when you do your week of H&O do She's Gone and Rich Girl.
thank you for this, it's my fav Hall & Oates song.
“The woman is wild ... woo-oo-oo-oo”
“She’s Gone” should be next.
“One on One” too.
He's singing the woman is wild
Check out the videos from "Daryl's House" He jams with many artists and is surprising young at age 70. Trust me.
Yes! That's a Saxophone 🎷!!
There was a version of Sara Smile by After 7. It came out in 97.
Hall & Oates......Gold
We have some amazing requests because we grew up when music mattered.
She's Gone is a MUST!!
This song was epic! My favorite of their's hands down
I love that part to its the best part in the song
Check Out Of Touch, so nostalgic.. You'll see why! :D
LOVE THIS REACTION!!! You are fun!!!
The woman is wild whirlpool
i’m waiting for the week of hall and oates 😭
Week of Hall and Oates!!!
Loved the reaction, you had me laughing at the end man. Subscribed.
I'm #500! Do I win a prize?
"The woman is wild, woohoo,oo,ooo,oo".
Try listening to Wait For Me .... Amazing song!
I love this song an it was same so beautifully thanku lovely much love an god bless x
Try "I Can't Go For That ----- Cee Lo Green Live From Daryl's House." That's one great funky jam session on a great song. Or just try "I Can't Go For That" original Daryl Hall and John Oates.
If you like Daryl's ending ad libs, play Say It Isn't So and wait near the end. You'll see. He always likes to keep a song spontaneous during the recording and live. It is never the same each time. They met in 1967, became a duo in 1970, had their first hit in 1973, then 1976, several songs until they hit their stride in 1979 with their Voices album (At least 4 hits on there) until 1985 and 4 albums later and many awards. They put out several albums in the 90's but decided to tour together and do solo projects as well. If you want a song list I can send you one just let me know if you want it on here or sent to you some other way.
some good ones for you: Glenn Frey. I'm gonna post 4 for ya: You Belong To The City, The Heat is On, Smuggler's Blues, and Partytown.
I love Hall and Oates! They have so many hits its crazy! I believe he is saying, "the woman is wild...woooo"!
G. E. Smith! Man, I completely forgot he their lead guitar.
GE Smith on Guitar and Tom "T-Bone" on Bass ! I got to see this Hall & Oates lineup LIVE as a teen in the 80's ! They were incredible !
