- I am a retired RCMP Officer living in a rural setting in Nova Scotia, Canada. I spend my time enjoying nature and feeding my furry friends, the raccoons. I also feed the deer in the winter months and many varieties of birds. I have two rescue cats named Connor and Charlotte.

Anyone with half a brain can see that these raccoons are well taken care of and are very tame because you raised them and cared for them. There are a few instances where Jim raised them from infants when they lost their mom and he bottle-fed them so pay no attention to jealous and ignorant people.

The trolls should do their research before saying nasty stuff about Jim & Angie feeding the raccoons. Raccoons are scavengers by nature and will eat anything that isn't rotten! Jim and Angie do a good job of making sure they are "well fed".
Some people are so miserable in their lives they like to try to inflict that misery on other folks.
Don't pay them any mind Jim, keep on doing what you're doing, we all enjoy your videos!

Awww, my heart sings when I see the babies. Precious is not strong enough a word.🦝🦝🦝🦝🐾🐾 Growlers saying the babies are too fat? They must not understand Canadian winters and the hibernation process. They all need the extra weight otherwise they will not survive through the winter. Some people just love to complain about things they know nothing about.

I just love your videos. Don't bother about the few nut jobs that are so miserable in their own lives that they try to spread their unhappiness around. My husband and I have a huge tree on our property and we put out food every night. We call it the tree of life. We get mostly deer, coons, turkeys and squirrels but occasionally we'll get some ducks and rabbits. We have several acres and it breaks our hearts that so much of these animals' habitat has been destroyed. GOD bless you and Angie and a belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

I really enjoy watching the little guys enjoy their food and even more so when they are gathering in the pool. Raccoons love to put their sweet little hands in water and now they can go right in. They live all of that and they live Jim and Angie. We can see the gratitude. Glad you had a great Birthday, Jim.

I'm so sorry but I need to say something and I dont ever when people say stuff because you have moderators.
I only want to say this. I am in the USA and I am a animal Rescuer domestic and wild. I have learned alot about raccoons working with my local Wild life rescue. The one thing that I did learn is Raccoons live only to 1-5 yrs old due to STARVATION and other things. Jim and Angie along with all the other people who feed raccoons (Bless each and everyone of them) have now given all including the kits (babies) a life to live well past a DECADE. ❤🦝

Studies show that 50% of all baby raccoons don't survive their first year. That's a result of the harsh Canadian winter, combined with disease, food scarcity & predators.
If Jim & Angie weren't feeding these little ones, we'd likely never see any of them again. Most of them wouldn't have the stores of body fat necessary to make it thru the winter, & the few that did survive might end up moving on to other territory anyway in search of food.
So bless you both for helping these raccoons survive & thrive. Ignore the rude fools who are too ignorant to educate themselves.

I know people in couple northeast states that feed wild deers, big birds, raccoons animals, they never became domesticated, continue living in the Forrest and wild.

There are many channels out there. Some people actually own alligators and raccoons. I didn’t know much about raccoons, tortoises, or alligators until I started watching CZcams videos of people who actually interact with or have them as pets.
It could be jealousy too, Jim and some of these people have such beautiful properties in which they can do this. Theres a guy called the Deer Whisperer he feeds the deer, they even come inside his house sometimes.☺️☺️He live near beautiful woods where the deer show up on his property.
