- Lots of Raccoons showed up tonight to eat at the diner. Agnes our December winter baby arrived, and ate her first chicken dogs and cookie.

Jim's Diner is hopping and bopping tonight. The wee folk are happy to visit with their benefactors tonight. It's nice to see some of the regulars, and at last spring is here. It's all good. Agnes is so cute.

I have raised raccoons, now my granddaughter has started raising mallard ducks. She is even incubating 18. I’m a bit worried about her ducks getting devoured by my raccoons. Gonna hope for the best. We presently have 15 young ones.
I had two ducks name Omar and Tasha from my sister and dad gave them to me and spoiled rotten loving them even minute of it ☺️
I laughed but this is a real threat to your ducklings.

I will give you some backstory. We had two ducklings given to us as they were ready to get in the water we had only had them, maybe two months or so and we have a small alligator that I have not been able to get rid of. They come in from the reservoir that we are currently beside divided by the Natches Trace. One morning I found Donald on the bank about 3 feet from the water. Daffy had apparently brought him in. Donald had a wing almost completely torn off, and he was dead. Daffy sat there by him for two days, never left his side up on the bank in the yard which they had never done so,she safely stayed out of the water too. I immediately realized I had to try to get him another buddy. We did find him one, but by the time we arrived home it was night. About 10 o’clock that night I looked out and apparently either a dog got in my yard which I think is what happened or one of the raccoons got Donald and Daffy went berserk. So I quickly Carried Abner to him released him, and Daffy was beside himself happy until I guess he realized that it was not Donald and then they fought. They stayed at separate ends of the lake for a week before they got together and now they’re together all the time we’ve tried to get the gator. He is still in there. This is the first time also we have a wood duck and she has nine ducklings so I really need to get the alligator out especially before something happens with our pets. Good thing is the gator is only about 5 feet long. I live in central Mississippi …

Little baby Agnes just stole the show in her innocence and sweetness. She is so sweet and everything to her is all brand new. She has the best temperament and is so trusting and calm. And it's her first time being with the very best humans ever. How fortunate for her. That's a national geographic moment' being at Jim's Diner getting Angie and Jim love and her first little hot dog!!! Tonight was a night of 'first' things to experience in her new world. This is precious. We didn't want to leave her either when you went inside. ( but know you'll be looking out for her) You filmed some great pictures of her. Thank you for such a heart warming video. My kitties prefer oat grass over wheat grass. It is better for them and grows quickly Also catnip is a favorite though a slow grower . They made a mess with that.
